Awesome decor, great staff and good music. Even the smell of the place is fitting as the aroma of the food being cooked fills the restaurant, making it remenicent of walking into a Latino family kitchen where everyone is friendly and welcoming. I was there on a saturday when they have a mariachi duo adding to the ambiance of the place. Every meal starts off with a complimentary serving of chips and salsa (guacamole can be ordered and is hand prepared at the table, offering an opportunity to have it made just the way you like). I started with the ceviche: a mix of chopped tomato, red onion, avocado, cilantro, shrimp, and lime. Although what really surprised me was the fact that, besides the chopped tomato, the broth was milky. It was not your average ceviche and had a unique flavor that complimented the ingredients rather than just anchoring down the dish like regular tomato based ceviches. Next I ordered the Valentino. A house special enchilada stuffed with shrimp, peppers, onions, Mexican cheese, wrapped in a blue corn tortilla, topped with sour cream and served with rice and beans. As soon as you cut into the dish, the steam rises and you get a whif of what your are about to taste. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the veggies were firm yet tender. The tortilla, cheese and sour cream really brought a cohesiveness to the dish. One bite gives you the sharpness and slight crunch of the peppers and onions, the mellow richness from the melted cheese and sour cream and subtle heartiness and sea flavor from the shrimp wrapped in a blue corn tortilla which does make a difference in taste and adds a elevated twist to make this meal that much more authentic. Im not a dessert guy by any means. I simply cannot do sweets. But I decided to order dessert. Ice cream I can tolerate so i went for a simple fried ice cream...it came out not so simple. I received a scoop of ice cream coated and slightly fried with whipped cream and a rich chocolate syrup drizzled on top and on the plate. The real kicker was the liquor they Incorporated onto the plate. When set ablaze (at your table for added spectacle), it toasts the shell of the ice cream and adds a smokiness to the chocolate as well as adding a touch of spice. The finished product is visually appealing as the plain and almost sterile nature of plain fried ice cream is transformed by the contrast of the darkness of the chocolate and small bits of char from the toasted crisps on the shell. Passion and subtlety are combined to make this fried ice cream incredibly unique. As a drinker I naturally had to sample the specialties. One thing recommended by more than a few people was the sangria. Served in a mason jar with a garnish of diced apples, sliced oranges, and blackberries. The recipe is a family secret and its easy to tell why. Its fruity, rich, yet subtle and deep all at once. Aside from the beer in between each meal another standout was the Agave Coffee. Just as (or probably more) grandoise as the Fried Ice cream, this drink sceams craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each process in making the drink (and it is also prepared at your table) is deliberate and adds to the end result in a major way. Im not even going to go into the details because you just have to order it and see for yourself, just know it also involves fire. Its a great way to taper off the night and give yourself enough energy to get home before you pass out from all the food. Overall I had a great experience and this is one of those places where its easy to become a regular.

Nice atmosphere, most of their stuff is good but pricey. Went for mothers day dinner last time and my steak was nearly raw. I asked for med-well. I dont think the chef knew how to sear steaks at certain temperatures. Everyones meal was great except for mine so I didnt feel the need to complain then but please make sure your staff is well trained when it comes to making the entrées, people are paying 20-30$ for their meals so standards need to be maintained.

You cannot beat Agaves food anywhere, they are the absolute best at what they do. Great service, amazing selection of tequilas, and house specialties that just put them over the top. If you are a minor leaguer that only eats tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas you will go home happy. If you are a real major league eater, try any of their specials of the day or house specialties and youll be back for more many times over.

They also had a two man band there which was entertaining not to loud but not to low. Staff was friendly and prices were very reasonable

Food was great! Service on point. They have to stop with the mariachi band playing old McDonald, other kids songs and the guy with the horn blowing in your ear!
