Let me start by saying that I have been to a lot of Mexican Restaurants and this one is not worth your time. Our table was dirty and the whole place looks like it needs a good scrub. There was a hair in our salsa that was already sitting on the table when we sat down for who knows how long. Our appetizers was good, but that was the end of it. The food was bland and the lobster quesadilla is gross. Also we had some trouble with another patron who yeld at us because our baby was crying. The patron I dont care about, he was clearly some drunk, ignorant low life. But managements response was worse. The manager came over said there was nothing he could do and IF we ever came back he would take care of us next time. Seriously, why would we come back and if you are going to take care of someone you do it while they are there, not next time. He didnt say anything to the other patron who made the comment either. He was a joke and so is this place. If I could give less than one star I would.

By far the worst Mexican restaurant I have patronized in quite a while. I was at this restaurant a number of years ago and had a memory that they had decent food. However, Im still regretting that I didnt immediately send back my dinner to the kitchen after the first bite. I ordered enchiladas with rice and neither the enchiladas or the rice tasted right--both had a very odd flavor to them. I ate very little, the waitress wrapped up the remainder, and I tried to get out of the restaurant while pretending that Id simply forgotten it. When the girl clearing the table handed it to me, I was forced to take it home. It sat in the refrigerator for a few days before the friend I was visiting decided to try it and he simply asked, "How did you eat any of this?!" Not worth it. Hopefully, there are other options in the area that are better.

While the food is "a & a," i.e., "adequate and appropriate, the tequila menu was a pleasant surprise. While modest by some standards and reasonably priced, it offers about 20 selections of your upper end tequilas, such as Cabo Wabo, Herradura, and Don Julio along with some neat (sorry for the pun!) surprises. For example, they offer Gran Centenaro anejo which buries most of the competition in the $40 -$55/per bottle range. And the kicker, priced nicely at $13 a shot, and worth every penny, was the Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia. My sources (I have some unusual connections) tell me this is the standard tequila served in heaven during Happy Hour (although, do they really need a Happy Hour in heaven?). Seriously, if youre a serious tequila afficianado, this stuff is outrageously delicious!

I started going to Su Casa in Branford when I was a teenager in the 70s. Ive always loved the food and the environment. At 45, its still my default place to go grab a bite. A few years ago I was in San Diego and a buddy of mine took me to an "authentic" Mexican restaurant. So, maybe Su Casa isnt authentic because the food at Su Casa was much better!

Its hard to give any Mexican resturaunt a high score in this area. But Su Casa gets 4 stars from me, mostly because of the atmosphere and effort. Their food isnt bad, but its definately lacking authencity. Maybe Im just a picky Texan who knows his Mexican food.

We love Su Casa! Reliably good, nice atmosphere, often has live guitar music. Friendly wait staff, food always arrives quick & steaming hot. Excellent pulled pork fajitas & Dos Eqqis amber on tap. Great margaritas, too. We are repeat customers since 2005.

So this is where the Dead Heads go to retire. They need all the hallucinogenics they can get to convince themselves the food tastes like anything other than wet cardboard. They have the nerve to charge for it!!! Super cute atmosphere though.

Great staff, okay food. Ambiance: Extremely dim lighting, greasy floors, place could use a refresh. Food: portions were average, presentation was sub par for the price. Not impressed, not going back.

I like to order takeout quesadillas during lunch time, theyre huge! You definitely get more bang for your buck compared to places like the whole enchilada.
