I went here for the first time today. It was a restaurant prior to it becoming Tavern on the Trax. The old restaurant was a dive. This is a local sports bar with good bar food and a lot of windows. Windows are key! One of the thing missing from the general area is good, classic Buffalo Wings. Tavern on the Tracks fills that void. We LOVED them. We ordered them well done with hot Buffalo sauce (they have lots of options) and they we perfect. I dont use the word "perfect" often but there were perfect "traditional" Buffalo Wings. We didnt have anything else food-wise. The tap beer selection was average for the area. I had a City Steam Naught Nurse. It was nice and cold. There is a very nice outdoor patio too and it is apparently very popular (we sat at the bar which seats about 16 (+/-). Overall, a good experience. It is not a romantic place. It is not a chain. It is a nice little local spoers bar. Lastly, on Sunday, they only serve the lunch menu. The dinner menu is far more diverse so keep that in mind.

I generally enjoy their food very much. We order lunch once a week usually. Theyve got great food, however, today we ordered lunch and the chicken salad I ordered I was told that for crispy chicken it was $5 not $2. For $5 you would think youd get a good amount of chicken; I got 2-1/2 small pieces. Also, the lettuce in my salad was brown and wilted. My coworker ordered chili, the menu says you get a piece of cornbread with it. The order did not include the corn bread (my fault for not checking), but for $7, youd think youd get a larger portion than the tiny deli container he was given.

Our food was good, waitress was friendly, but they do not have highchairs here? Bizarre. My granddaughter had to sit on my lap the whole time... Which wouldnt have been bad if the service was faster but we were there a long time... Too long. Well be back again, cuz I like to support town businesses, but I hope they mixed things along a little quicker and pick up a few highchairs.

Nice Bar. The barkeep was very friendly. The place is very clean and modern. The huge steam train wall photo is very cool. There is a beer garden. I didnt have any food there but what I say looked good. The Popular Mechanics jigsaw puzzle wall art is interesting.

Disclaimer: I was there late and had limited menu. Burger was excellent. Wings were good. Service was fast, friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
