My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years, and have never had a problem with it. It is not until the new owners remodeled the restaurant that we were experiencing problems. The food before was delicious, and was reasonably priced. The atmospheres before was friendly, welcoming, and elegant/casual. Now, the atmosphere seems a bit uncomfortable. They were also charging top dollar for food that barely had and flavor! The risotto, steak, hamburger, and onion soup BARELY had any flavor. They named the burger "Kobe Tallow Beef Burger", this implies that the burger is a Kobe beef burger, it really means "Kobe fat beef burger". This in my opinion was false advertising, especially since there was no fat involved in the burger. The truffle fries were extremely greasy. My father ordered a French martini, and they messed it up twice. He explained that it did not feel like a French martini, not to mention, they charged twenty-two dollars for it! There was also too much going on, you cannot be elegant/fancy, a sports bar, a hangout, and a steakhouse all at the same time. I know people that drive all the way to the Chophouse in Beaver Creek because of the way this one has changed and not upgrades, but downgraded. For goodness sake, my family and I would now rather go to a fast food restaurant. All of the customers that they have are repeat customers, and many of them are not going to come back if something doesnt change-- including me and my family. I feel that this complaint will all be in vain.

Went here during the week when they had the band playing. We sat in the back since we had our baby with us. First thing I ask for is if they have an allergy menu. I can not eat dairy products because I breastfeed and my baby has a dairy allergy. I told our server that as well and she replied that they do not have an allergy menu but the kitchen is good when it comes to allergies. So I asked about items that were on the menu as to if they were cooked with butter. She assured us that we were fine on everything we were ordering. We ate our appetizer and our steaks came out. Immediately I see that it is covered in butter. I ask her if they top the steaks with butter and they did. She took it back to recook. It came back out and I just had a feeling that they cooked the butter off. It was slightly overcooked but my husbands was cooked perfectly. I reluctantly ate it giving them the benefit that they did the right thing. Keep in mind this is not my allergy and is my babies so nothing happens to me. She is the one that has the reaction. I am not positive if it was the steak or the side but now today she has vomited twice. Be very cautious if you go here and have any food allergies. They are not as good as they told me they are.

Tourist trap. I got a bone-in ribeye medium rare and what I got was a clearly hastily grilled steak that was more rare than it should be. My coworker who ate with me also got his New York strip steak poorly prepared; he asked for medium but received something close to rare. Their service was also very poor. Our server rarely came to our table. My glass of water of empty but he didnt seem to care. We asked for the check after finally getting his attention and it came after at least 10 minutes. The restaurant was NOT busy. Ill never eat here again.

We would like to thank Marvin (GM) and his staff once again for a wonderful night! We could not have asked for better service, food, and personal attention for our wedding reception at the Vail Chophouse. With a guest list of 70 people for a destination wedding, they were extremely accomodating to any requests the wedding party or our guests had the entire evening. They definitely met and exceeding all of our expectations!

Had lunch at the Vail Chophouse this week (Feb-4th), the service and food were both excellent. we also had diner plans for the next evening at the Chophouse, after a glitch in the reservation schedule the GM, Mitch was able to make alternate plans for us at another restaurant nearby and bought our party a drink and appetizer. This gesture of kindness and professionalism far exceeded expectations.

We had our rehearsal dinner at this restaurant and had a perfect night! The steaks were cooked to perfection, the fish was fresh and had an incredible flavor and the service was top notch! Everyone was attentive, friendly and happy to help! We truly can not say enough wonderful things about the management, staff, and food....thank you for making our night spectacular!

We waited 20 min until my friend had to get up and ask for someone to serve us. It wasnt even busy. And when we started ordering they were giving us attitude. And waitresses literally rolled her eyes when she asked if they serve fresh lemonade. Please save your time and money and I suggest you go eat somewhere else where the staff is more friendly.

Their signature salad was our favorite. Lobster mac and cheese was okay. We had a filet ($59) that was nicely seasoned and cooked well. The cool this about this place was you could split everything without an additional charge. It was pretty laid back. Total bill $125.

Food is good, but expensive. For what you are paying, one would think the place would not have a sports bar atmosphere. The service was good, but I just have a hard time accepting how much it cost for what the place is like.

We went for drinks out on the patio and enjoyed the live music. The Malbec was very fair; they might consider a different winery. The Sangria was okay, but not the best; needs improvement.

So expensive, they dont know how to cook the meat whitout butter, they made the medium like well done and the well done was totally burned, you can cook it better at home!!!!

I dont know why I keep giving the Chop House another chance year after year. It continues to be over priced with average food, blah atmosphere, and marginal service.

HORRIBLE service. Ask for any other waitress other than Tiffany. She was rude and made condescending comments to us throughout our entire meal. Food was excellent!

A good lunch and dinner restaurant right at the base of the gondola in Lionshead. Offers a wide selection of food and drinks.

We came here for dinner - it was overpriced for food that was just okay. I had the beet salad and was disappointed.
