In all honesty, my experience was not as I hoped it might be based on other reviews. We made an 8:30 reservation and showed up at 8:00, figured if we could get seated early, great, if not, wed have a few drinks at the bar...no problem. We didnt get seated until 9:00...those drinks at the bar, impossible. One bartender was tending the entire restaurant, so obviously table orders were taking priority (understandable) but we stood in line for the bar for over thirty minutes, once we were at the front of the bar line (let me add, we were third in line from the start of getting in line) it was almost as if we were getting ignored, ten minutes at the front and we didnt get so much as a glance from the bartender, yet he delievered and subsequently refilled a soda for a bar table that was only sitting at the table to wait for their actual dinner table. Starting at about 8:30 we received countless "thanks for your patience, well get you seated very soon" from the one host who seemed like he was running the entire place. Again, we didnt get seated until 9:00, one hour after we showed up and thirty minutes past our reservation time. Once seated, we received prompt and knowledgeable service from our waiter. Unfortunately, the food didnt match the price or the already frustrating experience with the wait or the bar. My salmon was $29 and was charred too much, which made it a little to dry and hard to eat. My date had the elk at $34, cooked at medium rare, which tasted good in the middle where it wasnt over cooked, but was again too charred and crisped from the grill. The potatos and salad bar were fine but standard. In summary, I wouldnt recommend and I would most likely not visit again.

Our visit was purely a service issue. We were seated upon arrival, which was nice. Our waiter came over with his specials details. I ordered a steak and requested that it be medium-plus because I happen to like my steak that way. I also asked for, at extra cost, that they grill some onions. My steak was brought after my two friends meals had arrived. My steak was sitting in a pool of BLOOD. Practically burned to a crisp on the outside and RAW in side. Waiter ws hard to find for the rest of the evening. I asked what the problem was and the waiter offered to take my meal back and have it "repaired" That would have required that my friends go ahead and eat and then wait while I had dinner. This was a $35 steak and was a total loss for me. My suggestion is that the resturant conduct communication classes so that waiters can get the order written correctly and then have the ability to transfer the information to the kitchen accurately. I think that they can do better but I will not return. There are other places in Park City that sell steaks.

The name says it all. Grub steak provides a perfect blend of traditional, low maintenance food (the best salad bar in utah, fresh breads and soups) AND a sophisticated menu that offers a great mix of entres (local trout, 30 day aged meats, wild game plate with elk and an unforgettable exotic sausage). The place was flowing smoothly with over 70 tops seated in the still comfortable and private dining area. I enjoyed the authentic decor along with the local and historical elements. Wine list was great, with average prices (we had an 06 Cotes Du Rhone that was corked for $34.00), and filled up on beers from multiple local breweries. While its always nice to see a desert cart, it makes it difficult to hold back from the assortment of great desserts (try the bread pudding made with the vanilla bean bourbon sauce. its perfect). Our waiters name escapes me, but he passed his test. Wine presentation, attentiveness and knowledge of the menu was a needed reminder that we can still expect fine service.

I would rate the food and atmosphere a five. However my wife has a bad knee and in attempting to get up from her chair used the table for support. The table tipped and she fell fell with everything on the table following her to the floor, causing her great embarrasment. The manager was there immediately, helped her up and comforted her -- even before I could get to her -- and offered her a desert when our meal was over. He also brought out some ice for her knee as she had hurt it some more as she fell. Later when the manager came around to check on us I mentioned that it was my birthday and that I was retired military. He was taken aback for a second and said we could either take the Military Discount they offered or the "Free" desert he had offered my wife earlier and the birthday desert the offered patrons but not both. So much for supporting our Military -- I wont be going back. Ryan our server was great both nights we were there.

The steak was cooked to perfection! The lobster was the best I have ever had! (No lie) The clams were soooo amazing! Not to dry, not to "slimey" but just right! I was even able to get my hubby to try one and he didnt gag! Lol! The sauce they were cooked in was drinkable and I soaked up as much as I could with their delicious bread. Our amazing waiter knew his wines and suggested the perfect match. The musician preformed songs we could relate to (ETs You say it best) My husband and I picked this restaurant not knowing what to expect only because it was within walking distance from the Mountain Side Marriott. If you are prepared and willing to spend a bit more than an average night on the town for a meal, it is well worth the money! Bravo! We will so be dining there again! (Of course this review is pending my tummys thoughts by midnight!) Lol! Thanks for an amazing meal!

Great quality food and had a fantastic live musician. Only complaints were that our party had a long wait time for our entrees (about 45 min) but the quality of food was excellent and the entrance to the restaurant is nowhere near the parking lot, meaning you have to walk all the way around the building to go in. Very disorienting for newcomers. There is a handicap restroom but still has limited accessibility. There is no way you can get a wheelchair into their restrooms. Their main restrooms are up a flight a stairs near the entrance and the ground floor restrooms are WAY in the back and have a small width areas that prevent a wheelchair from getting to the restroom doors. I would expect about 10 steps from where you stop to the stall. I understand the building is historical, just mentioning it in case this is a concern for other guests.

Hello. I was invited by very dear friends to lunch at your restaurant in April this year. Great location, great ambiance and the cookie/ice cream pudding was scrumptious. Unfortunately the burger was terrible. The meat was hard and over cooked. The top part of the bun was incredibly hard. The garnishing was good and the bottom part of the bun. The chips were good. The service was excellent. I cant say that it was a bad experience but the food really wasnt up to what I supposed to be high American standards. As I wasnt paying for the meal I didnt complain. I visited from South Africa so to have an all American Burger was on my list of things to do. Sadly it wasnt to be. In and Out Burger was way better. Id love to return in 2018 and try again. My companions raved about the soup and the salads.
