I have been magically transported to Southern Food Heaven every time I set foot in Georgia Boys. After living in and traveling all over The South for ten years, I know good Southern Style Barbecue. Matt, Nick and Tim are on-point with some of the best Southern Style Barbecue. Using a mix of old family recipes and slight fusions of other influences like Tims Louisiana experience make them truly unique in their own right as well. Brass Tacks: The pulled pork is some of the best Ive ever had, always with a great balance of juicyness and hickory smoke. The brisket has a slightly heavier hickory flavor (as it should) and the burnt ends portions are melt in your mouth incredible. The only form of chicken I have sampled so far was the Smoked Chicken/Andouille Jambalaya...is it possible for food to make your knees weak? Sauces: Their sauces are truly Southern, from their standard, to the tangy (South) Carolina Mustard, and the North Carolina influenced Mop Bucket. They sell jars of most sauces on site as well. Sides: All of the sides Ive sampled so far have been outstanding and true to their Southern roots, such as the greenbean casserole and sweet potato pie casserole that is just like sweet potato pie without the crust getting in the way. The skillet cornbread gets honorable mention as the most flavorful and moist cornbread Ive ever had at a restaurant. Specials: Their Shrimp Gumbo transports me back to 1982, where I spent most of the year in Biloxi, Mississippi and made many weekend trips into New Orleans. The aforementioned Chicken/Andouille Jambalaya was the best Ive ever had, hands-down. Their Carolina Style Slaw Dog is a fusion, using their own smoked brisket chili, a hot link sausage, a french style roll and a slaw that encorporates a perfect balance of flavor and moistness that gives slaw the good name that it deserves. Chili Dogs are something I enjoy and have had all across the country, from Nathans in the East to Pinks in the West. Nobody even comes close to what the Georgia Boys have done here. Desserts: Admittedly, I have not had desserts here yet. I have seen them and everything looks just as solid as the entrees and sides though. The Bourbon Pecan Pie keeps catching my eye on the order board and will be given a try here soon. In summation, if you live in the area, or are passing through and enjoy good Barbecue, The Georgia Boys are well worth a visit.

OMG This place is so good. I went there with my wife and 2 teenage sons and we got the "picnic" deal with ribs for about $45 bucks plus tax. They smoke the ribs for 5 hours and although i cant say that i have never had ribs that good, I have never had any that were better. The 2 things that made my visit over the top are: 1. The huge selection of excellent BBQ sauces on the table that you can try with each bite. 2. The sides were over-the-top delicious and tasted exactly the way i would expect. We had green bean casserole (do not pass this option up), chicken stuffing, and sweet potato pie. Everything was homemade and so delicious. I rated the decor as excellent even though they have a tiny inside dining area and multiple tables outside. This is a BBQ joint and I expect it to look like one. You dont go here for the ambience. It reminds me of visiting Grandpas modest house as a kid and having the best homemade sunday afternoon BBQ ever and eating from wooden picnic tables. The gal at the counter was very smiley, friendly and patient when we were deciding what to get. One of the guys that runs the place was doing paperwork at our table and he told us how everything is made fresh from scratch and has no corn syrup. These people really take pride in quality and service and it shows My dad is coming in from out of state to visit in a couple of weeks and this is where we are going to go.

Best dang BBQ this side of the Mississippi! Im from the South and I grew up on BBQ in SC, GA and TN. I have to say, GA Boys gets it right! You can smell the smoke from the main road and it leads you to a quaint little house where it just feels like home. The brisket it to die for as well as the smoked chicken and pork. The sides are tasty as well. Potato salad, BBQ beans, Mac&cheese...I could go on and on. Always ready to greet you with a smile. You can dine in (although the seating is limited) or you can take it to go. Prices are reasonable and make sure you grab some sauce to take home. I have a friend in CA whos son will only eat the GA Boys original sauce. So I take him some every time I go to LA. Ive used the chicken rub when I slow cook and its amazing. I always get compliments on the flavor. Just good ole down home cookin!

Without a doubt, the Georgia Boys are popular…. the line was out the door, the two tables were filled but there were additional tables outside. (If it’s a particularly cold day, you may want to order to-go instead of sitting outside.) The staff were able to stay friendly while keeping up with the demand. We were anticipating trying any one of the “specials” like the BBQ tacos or quesadilla but they were sold out for the day… looks like I need to go back (darn). Instead we ordered a pork sandwich and brisket plate, which was handed over to us, smokin’ hot and with several different bottles of sauce. The sides of potatoes and gravy, mac & cheese, and BBQ beans were large portions and good, but definitely not the star of the meal. It was some of the best classic southern BBQ I’ve had.

I really like the links and brisket from here. Always full of flavor and satisfying. I also really enjoy the aesthetics of the storefront itself. Its not flashy and super modern nuevo kind of place. Its a nice rustic BBQ feeling, where you know you can get down and dirty on some great BBQ. The large variety of possible sauces is also really great being able to try a little of everything and find what works best for the contrast of the different meats. Prices are pretty much in line with any other BBQ place in the state and the quality is better really. The staff inside has always been friendly and helpful. When I want BBQ, this is my joint and I highly recommend you come here instead of going to steakhouse or restaurant for your bbq meat fix.

This is really good bbq. I usually dont get it from restaurants because I smoke my own and Im really good at it. To this day Ive never tasted brisket better than mine. That being said, these guys are pretty darn good. In my opinion its much better than the Serious Texas BBQ up in Loveland. I liked it a lot but the one negative thing was that it was a little on the dry side. The brisket had awesome smoke flavor (sliced and put on a bun) and a really nice smoke ring. The bun was awesome. The ribs were fall of the bone and pretty tender even though I thought they were slightly overcooked. The corn bread is really good with green chili in it and the mac and chee was a perfect compliment to all the items. I will definitely go back.
