My family and I have been coming to the Melting Pot for years, and weve always loved the experience. However, this time, Tony the manager treated my father miserably. The situation started out with our waiter bringing our table far too few vegetables for the main course. We tried to track him down for over 30 minutes, but couldnt. My dad then snapped at the waiter when he finally came back, which he later apologized for. However, when my dad tried to go to the bathroom, Tony stopped him in his tracks. My dad is disabled and on crutches, and the bathroom is in the basement so it was extremely difficult for him to get to. Tony then proceeded to mock my fathers disability and would not let him passed the stairs as he continued to yell at him, which was very painful for my dad. This is absolutely disgusting, and Tony the manager should honestly be fired from the Melting Pot. I cant believe how unbelievably rude we were treated. UPDATE: I got in contact with guest relations and after too weeks I was promised to be able to speak with the other manager Alexa. The call started out with a long recount of Tonys history as an excellent manger and then Alexa proceeded to tell me that their are different account of what happened the night we dined with them. I expected this. My father was in the wrong, but Tony also acted incredibly inappropriate. She then told me that Tony did not stop my father on the stairs and that I wasnt there so theres no way to verify that. She told me that he did not slam the check down at my mother. Something all 5 people at the table witnessed and finally added that" I looked pretty happy in my Facebook photo that I posted that night" so it "couldnt have been that bad of a night". At this point I stoped her because I was in shock that a professional business looked up a girl up Facebook. This is in no way appropriate nor professional. You dont look a costumer up on Facebook and go through their profile to find a picture posted the night in question. A picture, I might add that was posted BEFORE the night went awry. I explained to her this and she told me not to interrupt her or she would not continue the conversation if I was going to be rude. At this point I was trying to stop crying so that I could tell her that I was not trying to be rude I was just in shock. She did offer me a two person dining experience with them in Louisville as "me and my family are not welcome back to Littleton". I accepted on the phone but I declined. I do not wish to return to a business that harasses their costumers. This conversation was a nightmare and I would never like to hear from Littleton again. When I heard I was hearing from Littleton I assumed that they would wish to hear my account and then take appropriate steps to make the situation right. Instead I walked into conversation where I was attacked from the get go, belittled and made to feel as if I had done something wrong. My privacy as a costumer has been invaded, and I am more upset after this conversation then I was about the actual night in question. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.

Like you, I had read the reviews - some rating this MP restaurant as excellent, and some as average or worse. However, the experience seemed worth a try and so I booked a reservation many weeks in advance for my 25th anniversary. I had a nice conversation with the lady on the phone, and she suggested I book one of the private rooms with a fireplace, for a romantic time. I said that sounded great, and stressed that it was for my 25th anniversary dinner. A few days ago, I received a phone call reminding me of my reservation, and I again requested a nice table as it was my anniversary. I was told that they would do their best. Yesterday, my wife and I got all dressed up and arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:00PM reservations. We were shown to a table right next to a bunch of other tables, with all the ambiance of eating at Chilis. Dismayed, we explained the situation and the hostess said that she would try to get us another table. She returned and said it was impossible. We went and spoke to the front desk where the unconcerned girls who took the reservations said that it would be at least a 90 minute wait, and even then she couldnt promise us anything. The part that really galled was I had a look at my reservation and there were no special notes next to it at all! They took my reservation, saying they couldnt promise me a special room, without even having any intention of doing anything special!! No: "If you want a special room, you should come at 5:00" or anything like that. With the wife in tears, we left, and had a much better dining experience going up to Larimer Square. This restaurant is obviously doing very well, as evidenced by the crowds, but if you want to be treated special, pay attention and avoid the place. If I am going to be overcharged for a dining experience, I would like to be treated special. Summary: I only wish I could give "0" stars.

The Melting Pot has become my husbands and my romantic restaurant. I will cover our service, food, and overall dining experience. We have always had a good experience with the wait staff and service. Everyone has always been friendly and personable, but they dont crowd you. They stop by maybe once after they start you on the new course to make sure things are good, which, for me, is plenty. Also, you can get free valet parking. This is a plus because their parking lot is a little bit annoying to park in yourself. Yes, we usually tip the valet several dollars. The food is what you would expect from a fondue place. Cheese fondue, salad, meat fondue, chocolate fondue. If you dont like fondue then by all means, avoid the Melting Pot. The cheese fondue course comes with bread, vegetables, and apple dippers. There are several choices of meat courses; we usually get the basic chicken, steak, filet mignon, and fish, and add on some of the raviolis. The chocolate comes with some strawberries, pieces of banana, covered marshmallows, cheesecake, and bits of brownies and pound cake. The dining experience is definitely one you have to linger over. We always get the four courses. The meat course will take you a while because you have to let your meat cook. This is part of the fun we have, because it really lets us slow down and enjoy our date. We celebrate all our anniversaries and my birthdays here. He even proposed here last March. We had a morning wedding this June, so we came here for dinner. We got congratulations from both our waiter and several managers and free champagne and glasses. I will say the 5280 deal is pretty good, so if you can go during this promotion I recommend it. We have always had a wonderful experience here, and, personally, this is one of my favourite restaurants.

May 2016 UPDATE! Because of the poor experience we had last year, the manager so kindly gave us free lunch certificated for our family to return. The service this time was superb. Ryan and Jacob were friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. They were accommodating to our toddler and newborn. Food was delicious and the service this round great. Because of that I am updating my review. Also, the duck was amazing..... May, 2015: My family and I went to the Melting Pot, Littleton for a very special birthday for my mother with a party of 6. We had terrible service. The wait staff hardly every showed up to check on us, we waited what seemed like forever for each course. After a main course, we waited so long for them to take our dessert order that the broth in the pot started burning and smoking. My sister had to go and get someone to turn off the burning plate, and take away our pots. The next "party" for that table arrived and we had just placed our dessert order and the manager asked us to get up and move, when we had just ordered dessert. He was unapologetic, however, offered to cover dessert, which he added to our bill then took off (which was already apart of the 4 courses we were charged for, therefore we didnt get any dessert off) We were then over charged for an additional bottle of wine, which I had to have them adjust. At $400.00, I expected amazing service, after moving to the bar, our waiter never even came back to apologize. I will not be visiting this location again, there are much better restaurants with better service at a fraction of the price.
