I cant deny that the food tasted pretty good here and the front counter girl was very friendly and helpful. However, the reason for the 3 stars, is due to the fact that the lady making the sandwiches (presumably the grandma), was extremely slow and rude. We were the only people ordering and we waited and waited and waited (heaven help her during lunch hour!). When the food did eventually arrive, she had gotten all of our orders wrong in some way. I also feel that for the price (very expensive for what you get), we didnt get very much, the subs were short and they didnt have much filling and more of the less expensive items on the menu. On leaving the premises, the lady making the subs turned around and gave us the most nasty looking glare imaginable. Needless to say, we wont be going here again.

Im a Jersey boy and I grew up on great Italian pizza and subs....THIS is THE place to go for both! The owner, Bob Boffa and his team are caring, welcoming, smiling people who know great customer service...Bob knows most of his customers by name...the food is outstanding! We had salads, pizza, and several subs...ALL were fantastic. The store also sells many Italian specialty items, meats, and groceries. If youre in the area, and you want Italian, go meet Bob Boffa...youll be glad you did! Five Stars, no question!

Nicest people you would ever want to meet work at Deli Italia. Great food and quality Italian olive oil and other things including imported pasta. Great prosciutto (domestic and imported), fantastic salami, and the best bread around! Want REAL parmesan (they will grade it for you).... home made mozzarella... You can find it all at Deli Italia, 20th and Wadsworth (southeast corner). Yum!

Walked in and it smelled like something burnt which was it turned off so I didnt even want anything from there. Everything is sparse in inventory low which isnt a good sign not a lot of people in there so I opted out my husband the Everlasting hungry man decided he was going to get a sub so he said it was okay I really dont recommend the place because it seems underwhelming

I have been going to this fine establishment for several years. Annie makes me the perfect Italian sandwich. I can always visit with Ricardo and swap tales of Italy and Bobbie and his family serve up friendliness and home cooking. This is one of my all time favorite places to eat lunch! They do catering too!!! Give them a try - you wont regret it!!!

LOVE Deli Italia!!! They have amazing pasta, tiramisu, olive oil and badass bread - from a bakery close by. Their subs are great and please try the pepper shooters - delicious and a bit hot! Have heard amazing things about the mushroom sauce but have yet to try - I imagine its fantastic as well. Deli Italia - umm....Yes Please!!

Deli italia is by far the best place to eat in lakewood, or all of colorado for that matter. The staff are all outgoing and friendly and the service and hospitality are incredible. Food is fresh and its just such a comfortable environment. And Bobby is the best and most friendly guy you could ever meet! Love the deli italia!

A great local business where owners recognize you and remember what you like. The place looks simple, but it offers a great variety of quality meets and olives from Italy, as well as freshly made - still warm!- mozzarella cheese. Hot sopressata is like nowhere else. They also have fresh bread from nearby bakery.

I took my wife and two daughters there today. This was our first visit to Deli Italia. It will not be our last that is for certain. We were welcomed heartily and when we ordered the food was prepared with nothing but fresh ingredients. I will be coming back again and again for more of this!

The hoagies are delightful. You wont find Louie, Salvatore, or Skinny Grosso, but you will find a combination of flavorful sandwiches. I recommend the NY Italian. A good combination of meat, bread, and homemade "sauce". Service is polite and friendly.
