Eat at your own risk! The management at this restaurant will not take responsibility for the food they put on your plate. My experience at Early Bird is the worst dining experience I have had while living in Colorado for 10+ years. During my business breakfast meeting unfortunately I was served food that was improperly prepared and inspected and chipped off a good chunk of my molar eating their food. By the time I came back to the table from confirming I shattered part of my tooth they had already taken my plate away from me and took away my opportunity to show them the problem with it. To add to the issue there was no management around all day to try to discuss the problem and there was no urgency or efforts at all on their part to try and reach me. After finally touching base with the owner Daniel he was quick to accuse me of wanting to scam them even though I pointed to the fact that I had 6 witnesses at the table who could attest to my character and that my issue arose while eating at his restaurant. Therefore, I sent him documentation from my dentist showing I had no dental issues prior to eating at his establishment. I even gave him permission to call my dentist about this issue and he was quick to deny liability after a brief conversation with the receptionist at my Dentists office. My office goes out to breakfast every Tuesday and regularly spends $150+ per week on these events. Apparently the owner does not realize the value of continued business and making sure his customers are happy and bringing repeat business. He has lost well over the cost of my dental invoice in lost business from my company, our employees and the network that we work with as I won’t be recommending any of my friends or family ever go there. Best of luck to you if you decide to take the chance on eating at this restaurant.

came here on a sunday morning and the inside was packed with a 25 min wait, but there was plenty of outside seating. the menu has a wide range of items, from savory to sweet, and all the prices are reasonable ($10-15). i opted for the crème brûlée french toast with bacon + nutella topping (haha, so much for colorado being healthier). it came out as 3 giant, size-of-my-face slices of french toast. i could barely finish half the plate. idk how much of the crème brûlée flavor was apparent, but whatever the case, it was good. my dish also came with a choice of meat-- bacon, turkey, ham, or spicy sausage. i got the turkey and it was just okay, a little on the dry side, but i was so stuffed from the french toast anyway that it didnt matter. my friend got the biscuits and gravy, which i usually associate with an inevitable food-coma-inducing heart-attack feeling after eating them... at least thats how it is for the true southern comfort food versions ive had. but these were actually pretty light, and with no sacrifice at all on flavor. they also came with a side of potatoes and an egg. organic ketchup and hot sauce were available as well! i also ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and it came in a tall mug-- probably the size of at least a starbucks grande. it was great-- not too sweet! would have been cute to have latte art on there, but oh well. customer service at early bird restaurant was on point too. at the end of our meal though, no one came to get our credit cards so we just went up to the counter inside to pay. not sure if that was just how things work there, but either way, no big deal. p.s. no reservations, but you can call ahead and theyll put your name on the list!

UPDATED REVIEW:This place has great food. Also the owners son has celiac so they know the importance of gluten free, and even stock gluten free toast! (Recently I was glutened). They have several items on the menu that Im able to eat, and Im quite pleased every time I go in. Last time, they even sent me with a to go cup for my coffee. Im only giving them 4 stars because the last time my friend and I went, we were seated in a private room, and shortly after we were seated a large party (15 people or so, consisting of 8 small children) arrived. Im a nanny. I love kids, but we had to leave because even sitting next to each other my friend and I could not hold a conversation over the kids shrieking and running around. I realize the behavior of the kids is not the fault of the restaurant, but we wished we had been seated in the main area with the rest of the diners so we could hear. Over all this is still one of my favorite places to eat, and Ill be back. UPDATE: Today I got glutened. I know theres always a chance of cross contamination in a main stream food establishment, but have had good luck up until know with the early bird. I am not sure if someone toasted regular bread in the gluten free toaster, or what, but Im still sick from breakfast, 6 hours later. I will reconsider eating here next time.

**Found something in the food.** On a visit Tuesday March 28, 2017 one my colleagues bit into a rock or something in his food which caused him to chip his tooth so severely it required a filling. Our waitress was kind and attentive, but the complaint here is on the owner who is refusing to pay the bill for the dentist which amounts to a couple hundred dollars at the most. What this owner doesnt realize is that hes turned off 8 other potential diners by how hes handling this situation. Instead of apologizing, and offering to pay, hes been defiant and unwilling to work with my associate. To me its clear he doesnt care about his diners experience and hes not accountable. I wonder how that impacts other areas of quality. Im telling all I know about this. Watch out for this place.

The food quality was good. Prices about right. Portions... I went home hungry. If you are going to go out to eat that last part is kinda bad. We had a two items from the grittle: The french toast was good and a nice portion. My waffle was small and really needed one more or a meat. Something it was pathetically small. The biscuits and hatch green chili gravy were crowd pleasers and had the right amount of food. Would I go back? Maybe not. Maybe if I eat beforehand...

Second visit this morning. Service was good and staff very friendly. Food could be good, but EVERYTHING had way too much salt. Potatoes, guac and hot sauce were all way salty. Ive felt the sodium in my body all day. We sat for a bit, thinking wed tell the manager, but he spent nearly an hour talking to his friend at the bar, ignoring the rest of the eatery. The restroom needed a cleaning and some maintenance. This place doesnt present good value, and needs some time to mature.

This was our second time here ... My husband and I love the food but my pancakes were a little under cooked this time and I only ate the outside edges. My husband got the egg-stirs and was surprised by how much he enjoyed the meal. The only thing I would change is for them to get a more bland sausage for the kids meals it was way to spicy for my kids. But we will be back the food is good and the fruit is so delicious and fresh!
