Horrible experience! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! My husband and I went in on 3/10/17 on a Friday at 3:30ish and we were greeted by a pretty lady, with grey ish blond hair, who seemed polite, and I am super confused on weather she was being really passive aggressive or just not knowledgeable at all about her Job?? Or was just in a hurry and maybe her shift was over and she didnt want to help us...but the first thing I mentioned to her (as she handed us menus at the front register and just stared at us) was we had never been there before. So To break the awkward silence at the register I asked "are we supposed to order here?" She said yes. We took a few min to review the menu, and then ordered a breakfast burrito, and huevos ranchero. No complaints on the food it was very good. She asked us if we wanted anything to drink, we said we would just have water. So she pointed to a sink in the back of the restaurant where there were tiny plastic cups, and told me the water was there. So I went to this sink area which was dirty, hoping there would be some ice somwhere, but there was not! Just tap water coming out of a dirty little sink, and tiny plastic cups. super dissapointing, after traveling a lot of hours, and being super hungry and thirsty, and visiting a restaurant Id never been to that I looked up and had good reviews....I grabbed a cup and asked if I could have some ice in it, and she decided then to give me two glasses of ice water, and brought them to the table, my glass of ice water had black floaties in it it looks like it might be mold not sure but it was gross!!! After we were finished eating we decided to order some coffee and some donuts I explain to the man who helped us that we had never been there before and ask some questions about their donuts he was knowledgeable but the coffee that he gave me was extremely gross way too strong worst coffee Ive ever had in my life I didnt even want a cup of coffee I wanted a latte but the man did not give me time to explain this he just went to the coffee and poured a cup and then began to ring ring me up he was super rushed and didnt seem like he had a lot of time himself and wanted to go straight to the next customer I went over to the creamer which was very questionable to me it was kept in a carafe which had build up on the lid like it had been left at room temperature too long the coffee was so strong I dumped half of the creamer in it and it still tasted awful, and was cold, I asked the man if you could please microwave it he just got me a new cup of super strong awful tasting coffee so I tried to explain to him that I just needed a cup of coffee and maybe some steamed breve he said sure asked me if I wanted foam I said no. Half the cup was foam, and he steemed the milk so long it was burnt and burnt my tongue when I took a sip and tasted even worse. Never going back there again!!!

For breakfast: Very enjoyable. Nice alternative. Love the personal touches. Reasonable prices! Best donuts ever! For dinner: we went for the first time for dinner. Had been looking forward to it for several days. The food was great. The service was very disappointing. They had a nice special and we asked if we could split. Neither of us were hungry enough to eat 2 meals. She immediately became exasperated, essentially told us off and said it was $6 charge to split. I had no problem with the $6 charge and asked if they could keep it on one plate, you see we ordered prime rib, and when you split the order, they would typically cut two thin slices and put them on 2 plates. This does not stay warm well, plus we wanted to be romantic, being there for a private celebration, 6 months cancer free (yay!). Well, this lady pitched a fit, yelled at us more and finally listened to what I was asking and agreed. Phew! She never asked us for our drink order, and about 20 minutes after we ordered our dinner, she reappeared and my husband asked her if he could order a drink. She got very defensive and it took quite a while to get a drink, but she said she always asks for the drink order, but we interrupted [wow]- however, we listened to her at other tables, and she never took their drink orders either. She kept calling my husband "love" at least 24 times, right in front of me! Keep your hands off my date! Well, she could have ruined our evening, but life is way to short to let someone do that to us. We enjoyed the food, but had to celebrate somewhere else because she dampened the mood. We kept trying to just shake it off, but she kept coming back at us. At one point a manager came to ask us how things were, but she was right there, and so I told him I did not want to make a comment now. She interrupted and assured him everything was fine...wow! We never heard from him again... wow!

Dinner is AMAZING HERE!!!! Weve had a few chances to have dinner at Northside now and they have always had very good food and most often have great service. They set the dining room up with a white cloth, center piece with flowers and wine glasses to be filled! The Prime Rib is their specialty and has been great each time. Weve also had the Lamb Shank which was fall off the bone tender. The sides and desserts have been very good as well (we had Creme Brule!). They do have a decent selection for wine. It is interesting that they shoot for the good breakfast theyre known for but also work hard in the evenings turning the place into something much nicer with a good ambiance. Its clear the owner and management are on the ball and strive to make sure everyone is having a good experience. We had a small issue our first visit, but the management stepped up and offered a solution to our problem. They wanted to make sure we were happy, and big thanks Noah! We have been back because of this! Their menu is the right size to allow them to make their offerings top notch. When you do walk in you will notice the main dining room on the left with a fine dining setup and on the right is Benderz where they offer burgers and fries. Take your pick, they are both great choices.

My family stumbled across Northside Kitchen from a Google Search of breakfast restaurants on our first trip to Colorado. We went for breakfast our first morning and ended up eating almost EVERY meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) at this restaurant. Every member of the staff is super friendly and all of them can recommend their favorites. They were even great at giving us ideas on what to do on our trip. I highly recommend going for breakfast and dinner. The offer a 3 course meal at dinner time that you do NOT want to miss. Make sure you go to dinner early if you dont call in a reservation. This place gets crowded quickly from the locals as well as out of town visitors. We even had a chance to speak to the head chef Noah. He was super sweet and very humble. We gave him our address in hopes that he sends us some Green Chili Sauce to Atlanta, GA. Absolutely everything on the menu is amazing and between my family we tried EVERYTHING. This will be our go to restaurant when we go back to Colorado. Well done Noah and the ENTIRE staff at Northside kitchen. And shout out to our favorite servers Moe and Ally (Allison)!!! We miss you guys already. Its hard eating breakfast without that sauce!
