Went to get some sandwiches, place had great reviews. Went on a Sunday and I ordered an egg sandwich with bacon, arugula, tomatoes, and cheese. My husband ordered some sort of Italian sandwich and they told him they only served breakfast on Sundays. Well this didnt work since my husband was not wanting breakfast. We went down the street too another deli who served both, and we had a wonderful experience. My issue with this deli is, why in the world would you limit customers and turn away business. I have a favorite deli that is not opened Sundays, and I often wonder the same about them. The wooden spoon is not close to home for me and being that we could not taste their food, we definitely wont be back. Wish we could have tasted their food, since we were unable, we found a competitor, that we were more than satisfied with.

No longer One of Denvers best kept secrets. Tucked away in a quaint little west denver neighborhood called Highlands, Wooden Spoon Cafe & Bakery is an oasis for a decent well priced breakfast. The lunch menu looks fantastic and if the pastries are any judge of things to come you can be sure any thing you order is going to be made with passion. Small tables make up the interior where you are reminded that tables cannot be pushed together for large groups and dont even think about using your lap top or computer. Be sure to have the toasted brioche egg sandwich with your choice of toppings. I used to only order the sausage and tomato but all of their toppings are excellent especially my new favorite combination, cheddar, tomato and bacon!

Loved loved LOVED this cafe. I was in Denver for a business trip and really wanted a delicious lunch after a lot of meals in hotels. This definitely did the trick. I knew the food was going to be great as soon as I asked the staff what I should get. They had SO much excitement for their food which is something you cant fake (at least not well anyway). I got the prosciutto and brie sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was good, the ingredients were fresh AND innovative. Perfect sandwich. Also got to try the chocolate cheesecake brownie and that was delicious. Next time I am in Denver for business, I will absolutely be back.

Living across the street from this little gem is a blessing and a curse in my life...If youre blessed enough to get there early chances are you can still snag up a scrumdidliuptious almond croissant or slice of quiche - the two things that I recommend above all else! The curse comes in when you scramble to make it over there by 9 and find these two amazing eats sold by the time you get there - and sure, you get literally the best breakfast sandwich in town as a substitute but, its just not the same!!

This is one of my favorite cafe/restaurants in all of Denver. Everything is super fresh and wonderful but I especially like the quinoa cranberry arugula salad. Just leave your ipad/laptop at home, there is no wifi, they are not allowed. Its a small Cafe and if they were--you would never get a table. Despite it being small, they are pretty good at serving up your food quickly. Love this place!

Tucked in a quaint little neighborhood near the top of the hill in LoHi. Rotating specials, fresh baked pastries and hand crafted coffee drinks highlight the menu. A small alfresco area is available during the warmer months. A modern interior has the feel of a small french cafe. This hip little area of Denver is peppered with cafe options but for your money this is the spot to go.

I came here to grab a quick, but high quality, treat. I was not upset - the pumpkin tart was full of balanced flavor. The filling to crust ratio slightly favored filling, which I like. The crust tasted more like a shortbread cookie and not dense as most tart crusts; it was lightly sweetened. The filling was flavorful and not too sweet. A+ treat and adequate service.

The BEST fresh baked scones and coffee! We pair a breakfast sandwhich, yogurt with delicious sliced fruit and granola, a slice of coffee cake and/or a scone with a cup of Joe and a cappaccino and this is my wifes (and my) happy spot in the morning. The small cozy atmosphere is perfect for a quick bite and a great way to start your day in Denver.

I like this spot. Its exactly what it says it is. Wooden Spoon Cafe & Bakery. Freshly made sandwiches, good ingredients, nice atmosphere. Great spot to grab a quick bite to eat or hang out and grab coffee with friends. I get the chicken salad sandwich every time I come. Its good! And Im guessing is the owner, is always very nice.

The Spoon is one of the best breakfast/coffee spots Ive ever been to. The owners and staff are very friendly. The scones are amazing - as are all the in-house bakery creations. Their made to order breakfast sandwiches on brioche are by far the best breakfast sandwiches Ive had anywhere.

I live across the street. I like the food but it always gives me stomach aches. Plus every weekend some dbag eats inside while their dog barks at 7am. Tell your patrons they cant leave a barking dog at 7a on a weekend. EVERY SATUDAY..

Quaint, cozy bakery/cafe, little bit of a wait, so navigate the crowd/hunger pains accordingly. Two, small patio tables outside at storefront along with a couple sidewalk benches that corral parked strollers. Friendly staff.

Tiny spot for some very tasty food! Come early if you hope to get a seat, and be prepared to be very tempted by lots of wonderful looking baked goods. We ordered various egg dishes, and they were all excellent.

Cute little bakery in the Highlands. An awesome assortment of pastries and baked goods to satisfy sweet and savory tooths alike. A small number of breakfast sandwich and scramble options. Sandwiches and salads.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. I got the BLT with chive cream cheese and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The baguette was also perfect and didnt cut the roof of my mouth as they tend to do.

Very small, limited parking options. The place is popular with those within walking distance. On street parking, expect to walk a few blocks to get there. Also seating is limited.

I go there all the time and the pastries are astonishing. They have been described to me after I gave some away as "it may be the best thing Ive ever tasted" and "magical".

Great food in a very intimate, hip atmosphere. Friendly staff and pretty quick service considering a line out the door. Would gladly visit again when in the area!

They would have gotten five stars alone for the "no tablets or laptops" policy, but the breakfast food was delicious and the staff was courteous and attentive.

Went for lunch and this place was great. Had 1/2 sandwich and salad. Reasonably priced. No computers allowed so make sure you bring a friend to chat with.
