Ive eaten here several times and the general experience has been lousy attitude by the front end staff. I dont know how to explain it, its almost like passive aggressive politeness? If they seem polite or wanting to be helpful, you can definitely sense that its forced and not genuine. God forbid you dont hit the tip button when you order at the front counter, which i mistakenly did after a couple mediocre experiences. This lead to me waiting 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich that never came and i had to go up to the front counter to inquire about it....at which point they pointed at it sitting on the counter the entire time!! They obviously didnt care enough to bring it to my table and made some lame excuse like not being able to find me lol? I want to like this place for its food (its ok), locale, and cafe style ambiance, but ive made up my mind that i wont be spending $13+ for a sandwich if I dont feel like the customers arent appreciated.

I heard so many great things about Vert.....I like a short menu wich would usually lead to quality and taste......well.....the hostess/cashier was not very friendly and didnt seem to have much to say about the food for first visitors....we had to rely on another patron for advise....we ended up getting the steak sandwich and we were really excited....well the steak was over marinated making it way to salty....the ingredients were good but when its that salty everything else goes away.....the sides were nothing to look forward to...sandwich was too salty and the sides had no salt to bring out the flavor.....needless to say I will not return and will stick to Jimmy Johns or Spicy pickle....although chains....at least not a million dollars and much more flavor

I ate breakfast here last weekend with my grandma, and although it is extremely over priced ($35 for two breakfast plates and two coffees), the food is good. The problem I have that has forever tainted my view of this establishment is that we were catching up and it had been a little over an hour and a half (we were just about to leave) when someone kicked us out for taking the table too long. Im sorry, but if Im with my 84 year-old grandma and we paid an exorbitant amount for a small breakfast, I dont see the point in asking us to leave unless we were there for 2+ hours. In the past I have recommended this place to so many friends & family, and Im honestly hesitant to ever come back due to their poor customer service and loyalty.

While their food is over priced it is good. :-) Way to ruin a first date Vert!!!! If you have a service animal be prepared for their employeed to interrogate you on proof of your disability and your service animals registration. After being told that my service animal would be fine to walk through the restaurant so we could sit where there was more shade, on the rear patio, upon reaching the table I was approached by two separate female employees demanding to see proof of my disability and/or proof that my dog was a service animal. Still they said I will have to sit up front and they were getting their manager. To avoid making a scene we sat out front in the sun. The manager never came to speak with me.

This is a cool little place. I was impressed with the amazing aroma of food when I first walked in, right away my mouth started watering. The selection is great, and for the most part there are sandwiches, soup and salads available. The patio area in the back was really nice and cozy, and there were some heat lamps available. This place is a total hidden gem that is popular with the locals. Prices are great, and the service was outstanding. It is definitely a tight squeeze here and you will probably be bumping elbows with your neighbor every so often, but if you can grab some seating in the patio area, there is a little more room available

We try to eat organic whenever possible, and unfortunately, there are not many options in Denver. :( We thought wed try it out, and liked that the restaurant was intimate and quaint. The food was alright (only one thing we would really choose to eat again), but what really blew us away was the price!! I ordered off the specials menu (which had no prices) and my sandwich and cup of soup were $19!!! My husband got a frittata, and overall it was not much food, and then we both drank water and our total was $33!! Dont get me wrong, we know organic cost more...we buy it all the time, but that was ridiculous!

Vert Kitchen was the perfect way to end our trip. We were on our way to the airport, but we stopped by to grab some sandwiches to eat prior to boarding. I got the Lentrecote sandwich and my brother got the Curry Chicken. The Curry Chicken was delicious. The apples and cashews added a nice crunch, and the curry was very flavorful. But as good as that was, the Lentrecote was the star of the show IMO. The steak was delicious, and the vinaigrette mixed with the arugula added the perfect amount of acidity in the sandwich. I enjoyed every bite. Oh, the bread was great too.

If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would. This is hands down the best place to get a quick bite/sandwich in Denver. Their sandwiches are incredible, especially the lentrecote. That sandwich is so well loved there that they often sell out every day. However, you have to try their soups. They are to die for. Seriously. My favorite two that Ive had (they change daily) are the corn chowder and the chicken and wild rice. Oh, and dont forget to grab a cookie too. They taste even better than they look.

Delicious, healthy, fresh and fast. Dont let the limited selection fool you: the salads, sandwiches, and soups are creative, filling, and feature crisp, fresh ingredients. Although convenient takeout is tempting, dont miss out on the secret, charming back patio -- featuring many tables under umbrellas on several terraces, tucked between brick buildings -- a true urban paradise. Vert even has a mini library of magazines and books on food and design that you can browse while you await your food.

Well lets say its a nice local location, good concept. Nice menu, I am local Denver Chef wanted to check it all out. I came and was impressed with the building and everything, nice open kitchen. They seem to have a good thing going... Only bad downside is they have a open kitchen with their Mexicans making your food with bare hands and products sitting out not cooled or looked like there ice wells on the counter looked melted. Just things to mindful of that we the customer see.

My husband and I love Vert and visit it about once a week for lunch. The quality of the ingredients is clear from the first bite; everything is fresh, tasty, and amazingly flavorful. Our favorites are the power salad (substitute curry chicken for tuna) and the turkey sandwich. Their tomato soup and arnold palmers are also to die for. Im not certain where the negative reviews about this lovely, local shop have come from but we would absolutely beg to differ!

Their food is great but the customer service and Grab n GO is terrible. Ive had two experiences where I reached out to them and sent pictures. They dont respond because they dont care. Whatever you do, dont buy the Grab n Go at Natural Grocers. If there is a problem with the item and/or expiration date, thats on you. They wont refund your money and refer you to Vert. Vert doesnt respond to phone calls or e-mails. Bad customer service. Im done!
