The service: Went here for the first time on 01/22/2017 around 530p. I was told this place was good for dim sum, so I figured I give it a try with the wife. The service was not impressive at all. The skinny lady with the dim sum bar cart was very rude. She asked if we wanted dim sum and I told her its been awhile I dont know how ordering about it works. She then asked what flavor. She mentioned she had shrimp and pork. I told anything without either? because the wife doesnt like those meats. She says, "look at menu." Then, as we were ordering from the menu, I asked the server to hand me a shrimp dim sum one (for me). The dim sum bar cart lady came hands over the dim sum all the while murmuring something in another language. Right then, I noticed her attitude. So I thought nothing of it. Then when we are halfway through the meal, a white couple comes in and they get seated close to us. The same thing happened but with a twist. As the dim sum lady walks up and ask if they want dim sum, the couple asked that they didnt know how ordering about it goes. The lady started being friendly with them and even showed them how to order, gave them all the options she had. And I thought to myself, "it was a completely different scenario with them, why??" The whole experience was very uncomfortable. The food: Just average, but pricey for that matter. We ordered vegetable and chicken noodle (wide noodle) and short ribs with eggplant clay pot. Both were heavily greased and salty. I will never come back here again. Please do yourself a favor and dont go here.

Food is OK. Definitely not as good as star kitchen. Service was the worst in town. Server curses and bad mouths about customer in Cantonese. They are also very racist. Treat customer differently base on customers race and color. I wouldnt be surprised if their servers spit in food based on what I saw. Tonight was the worst. The young boy with eye glasses after we waved at him, wouldnt stop murmuring , and stared at us with this mad angry look, feels like he wants to start a fight. They we heard him raising his voice as he was walking back. He was speaking Cantonese. Since we understand Mandarin. I was pretty sure it wasnt nice. Fish is always bitter, either they use very low quality fish, or they batter it with too much baking soda. If it wasnt because Star kitchen was hosting a wedding tonight. Wouldnt have gone there. Hope the owner will start managing his servers.

Today is the day I mark it as my last official day at this restaurant. As being a regular customer I know how awful the service is. Anyway, the story is I went out for dim sum around 1:30. Since is the holiday and i know is going to be busy so thats why my boyfriend and I wanted to eat lunch late. I ordered shrimp dumplings and the shrimp was undercooked, so I brought attention to one of the waiter asking him to take the dish off my tap since I cant eat uncooked food. After that I lost my appetite, went to the counter to pay my tab, instead of taking the shrimp dumplings off my tab I received obnoxious, offensive, despicable attitude from the cashier (which I only see working on the weekends). This is really sad, Ive been here for over 5 years but being a loyal customer doesnt matter to them is the dollar sign that matter.

Very disappointed. I know Chinese restaurants usually have bad service, but you guys take it to another level. Wont come again.

Some of my faves are the traditional siu mai (pork & shrimp dumpling), har gow (shrimp dumpling) and pork buns (both the steamed and baked ones are good). I also really like their shrimp chang fen (noodle roll). Generally all their dim sum is pretty good. Id consider it as one of the best dim sum places in Colorado. The egg custards and pineapple buns are always gone before the dim sum cart has made it halfway around the restaurant. Be sure to snag a few dishes of those for dessert! Make reservations or get there before 12pm if youre going on the weekends; otherwise, be prepared for a long wait. Go with large groups--dim sum is one of those meals where the more people you have, the cheaper it is per person. A table can seat 10; groups of 10 or 20 people are great.

I found this place through Grubhub, and although the cost was higher than some, the dim sum (dumplings) are SUPERB! I highly recommend the Crystal Leek Dumplings, Fun Gor Dumplings, Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings, Fry Shrimp Dumplings with Mayo, Pot Stickers (some of the best I’ve had), and Steamed BBQ Pork Buns (which were a nice fluffy and delicious contrast to the other dumplings). Each type of dumpling had a unique flavor and was visually different, which made it really fun to sample all of them together. The Hot and Sour Soup was more tangy (sour) than other places. The total delivery cost ($50 for 2 people) seemed a bit expensive in comparison to other Chinese places, but it was absolutely worth it.

What do you dislike about Superstar AsThis restaurant has been placed on a short list of restaurants in Colorado that offer shark fin soup or shark fin products. The practice of shark finning has devastating environmental as well as human consequences. Trade in shark fins encourage subsistence fishermen in developing nations to kill thousands of these vital creatures every year for their fins while their families eat the poisonous, mercury laden meat. Only you can stop this. Tell everyone you know to avoid this restaurant until they change their practices. I am unable to post a link on this review site, but feel free to look up the Animal Welfare Institute to verify this and learn more.

As we arrived, our waitress seated us by hastily striding to the opposite corner of the restaurant with menus. We wanted to request a table that would be more accommodating for my 95 year old grandmom (in-law) who can barely walk, but, after our waitress barely glanced at us and then practically sprinted to our table, she quickly disappeared. We never tip less than 20%. We regretted tipping as "generously" as 15% here. We didnt receive all our dishes, but we realized after the fact that we were charged for all our dishes. Waitress seemed abrasive, impatient and disrespectful; forget asking for anything that isnt cookie cutter without apologizing profusely. Food was otherwise OK.

This was my first time going to this place and we went on a Saturday. It was very busy but I heard that it could get busier since that is the day they serve Dim Sum which is what I ate while I was there. The service was fast and the food was delicious! The Dim Sum food was pushed around in carts and they would come to your table and you order how many plates you want. They then take a paper at your paper and stamp what you got and how many you got. They also had a normal menu but I did not order anything from it. If you go for Dim Sum I recommend the steamed and baked pork buns they were one of my favorite dishes! Also the bigger the group that goes the cheaper the price is.

Delicious, authentic, and will come here AS LONG AS THEY HAVE SHARK FIN SOUP!!!! Enough with the food Nazis. Lay off the foie gras and all that yummy food. Stick to hamburgers, pizza, and ribs and leave authentic places like this alone for goodness sake! Horsemeat rules (even though I own horses) and there are so many cultural foods that the typical American thinks is gross, fine dont eat it but dont try to keep others from eating it. I want more authentic foods, to explore the incredible food that God put on this earth!
