I really love burgers, I love eating at hip places in Denver, and I love unique menus. I also have pretty low standards and I dont get upset or put off that often. I go to the Taco Bell next to my apartments in Golden, down the street from a prison, eating their gooey mystery meat burritos, served by potential meth-heads with about 3 brown/black teeth, and devour the food and love every minute of it. I eat double quarter-pounders with cheese from McDonalds and feel like if I died, I would die happy and with no regrets. But I have never been more disgusted than at Park Burger (which I went to because my name is Parker and it is called PARK burger... thought it was funny). We can talk about the food first. I got the Royale and it was okay; the flavor may have been a little off but Id never complain because NOM NOM NOM. My girlfriend got the turkey burger and it was pink in the middle, is that bad? Im pretty sure it was at an unacceptable level of pink but I didnt have a thermometer so who knows. The truffle fries were out of this world though. So good. So I probably wouldnt have gone back because there are places like Larkburger that are so much better, but I wouldnt have told people not to go. But lets get to the service, and why Ive never felt so sick in my life. While we were sitting and eating, another waiter decided he needed to do some wound care at the table next to us. Wound care is an exaggeration, but he took his shoe off and revealed a bloody sock, took a bandaid and opened it on the table, talked to some other workers, and then put the bandaid on his foot, put his shoe back on and continued to work. Without washing his hands. Lets see what is wrong with this. First off, if you were doing anything related to personal hygiene, wouldnt you do it away from customers? Like, even a mechanic would put a bandaid on in the break room. Second, taking off a shoe in a restaurant? That ALONE is a health code violation, not to mention the fact he was playing with his bloody foot and sock. Finally, he goes back to work without cleaning up. And the other workers thought this was okay? Like it was no big deal? Still, I probably wouldnt complain about this because it doesnt really mean much to mean and I hate confrontation with staff. Now I havent mentioned my waitress yet. She was rude, but more just like she had worked a long week and she was tired. She took our order, threw down the milkshake we ordered and walked away, and left our water glasses empty most of the meal. Again, I dislike confrontation so I left that alone. But heres where I lost it... My coke glass was empty and someone asked if I needed some more. Yes. And guess who brought the new glass to me. Foot man. Disgusting. I cannot explain how much my stomach dropped when I saw it was him touching my glass that had a brand new straw in it. Did he put it in there? If the shoe thing was okay in public, what happened in the back? I didnt touch anything else the rest of my time there. I asked for the manager, and he came over, I said my story, he said sorry, Ill take this glass away for you (it was about to be bussed anyway), thank you for bringing this to my attention, I guess there isnt much more I can do for you (Amateur response, by the way. This isnt something that just gets fixed with a thank you. This is the worst thing Ive seen in a restaurant. Especially a slightly pricey restaurant. Really, dude? I guess there isnt anything else I can do?). The waitress came up after and said "Hey, hun! Can I get some more water for you???" "HAHA, no." Guess she realized she should try to recover a little. Got the bill, he took 10 dollars off (my burger and drink), and I started gagging and left. Ill never go back. I dont want to know what goes on behind the scenes, I dont want to pay that much for a burger that wasnt the best, and the service wasnt even passable.

Still great five years on! We moved East 5 years ago for work and recently returned to Denver. Park Burger remains our favorite premier local Burger "joint". When I asked my wife how many stars she gives out of five...? "Oh [expletive deleted] ing five!" We did take out today. I got the original park Burger; my better half got El Chalingo (sp?). They offered to split our (very ample) basket of fries 1/2 set potatoe, 1/2 regular. There are old school Burger joints that used to grace the corners in white enamel covered buildings in small town America.... But we never knew or cared what was in those; especially after the bars closed. Park Burger is the best of a new generation of quality Burger joints. $6.50 for 1/3 pound very fresh delicious Burger aint bad. Blows "Smashed" Burger away. They have gluten free, turkey and tuna burger options too for those of us with dietary "sensitivities". Take out or dine in. Theyre just as great now as they were when they first opened over five years ago.

So, there was 8 of us out for a dinner celebration and we came here, based on the reviews. It was a Saturday evening so there was about a 30 min wait. They handed us one of those light up buzzer things and 25min later we were sat. All of the staff there was great, from when we stepped into the check, everyone had a smile and was super friendly. Beers were cold and drinks were made perfectly. They dont have too many options outside of burgers, but then again with a name like Park Burger... We expected that. The wings that we ordered were great, not too small and the sauce is very tasty. I asked around the table and literally everyone said that the temperature of the burgers were all spot on for what was ordered. Juicy and none of them over cooked! Also, do yourself a favor and go for the sweet potato fried, seriously money. I could go there and just sit at the bar and only have a few beers and a basket of fries. This place totally lives up to the high reviews.

I had a great time taking my family to Park Burger about a week ago. The food is really good one guy earlier said the fries are "ok" but I would have to say they are pretty good as well. Of course we got both sweet potatoe fries as well as reg so def get sweet potatoe fries. I love the burgers I ordered a double with bacon and cheddar was cooked exactly how I asked and the bun was freshly made earlier that day unlike some bars or chains that have the old flakey nasty buns that they try to hide the staleness by toasting it, blah. Beer was cheap as well with their happy hour and the best part of all I live within walking distance. Service was a little slow, or maybe the woman was slow I dont know which is which. I asked for refills over and over and had to ask some other guy to do it... owell everything else made up for it. Enjoy !!
