This is a neighborhood restaurant run by the same family for over 30 years. I have lived all over the city, but I will always come back because it has the BEST EGG ROLLS of any restaurant Ive been to across the country, and they always cater tehir cooking to anyone who actually asks for it. Some people want a flash in the pan experience from a big YUM! Brands restaurant, and apparently write reviews like their employees. They wont like this place because it isnt in vogue this week. To hell with them, I say! I have traveled to this restaurant through heavy snow and untold miles, just for their cooking! Ask anyone who has been to New Happy more than once. There is a reason tehy have won numerous awards over the years! -Robert Spalding P.S. If you have no tastebuds, this is the place for you. Absolutely one of the worst "chinese" places I have been to. Youd be better off to go to the store and get a frozen box of PF Changs than to eat here. Food has no flavor. The fried rice isnt even fried! Its some microwaved concoction with little chunks of ham in it. Severely disappointed to say the least. Its like no effort was put into the food to make it appetizing or appealing. My advice is save your money and go someplace else.

Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special. The price was not bad (around $8). The best part of the meal was the eggroll. The sesame chicken was chewy and flavorless. I ordered the wonton soup which wasnt too bad but only one wonton was in the soup. The fried rice is simply a yellow colored rice with little chunks of ham in it and its definitely nothing special. The food was overall flavorless besides the egg roll and wonton soup. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely did not enjoy the food. I rarely eat Chinese food because the chicken never looks nor tastes like chicken, this place by far the worst Ive eaten. The rice and eggroll didnt taste all that well. Well Im still hungry! What a waste of money!!!!! Jade Café way better sorry I decided to try something different

The tea was good. The chicken was of a consistence that I could not figure out. My friend said it was better throwing up than going down. The vegetables seemed to be boiled all day, meat found on the street and not good.

New Happy has been a favorite place for my family for years their food has always been great. That and the owner has been there the whole time and still remembers what my family likes and remembers us.

I LOVE New Happy Restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is a cut above the local eateries. They have some fabulous rose hot tea. Yummy, I get some tonight!
