I worked here briefly and was terminated without cause or explination so would i say i am disgruntled, yes. But aside from my opinon about the owner, let me give you all an inside scoop on what you are sinking your teeth into for the price you are paying. Besides the fact that the sewer backs up into the sinks that all vegitables ans dishes are washed in, the owner refuses to have the raw meat thawed under running water because it "costs too much". There is one out of 15 cooks that has any kitchen experience, or is over the age of 18. Everything you eat is bought from sams club and most of it is just thrown in the microwave to cook, including raw chicken. Their menu repeatedly says "house made" which truthfully means store bought. Between the few "recipes" they do have are bland and basic and prepared by children that havent been in an actual kitchen a day in their lives, so dont be suprised if you cant recognise even the most common menu items such as french onion soup. Their menu gives you a description of how a dish is prepared, none of which are accurate. The real step by step is to take it out of the packaging, overcook in the microwave and put on a plate, where it is then put under a heat lamp that does not work and usually sits for 10 to 20 min until the wait staff finally brings it to your table. (This is due to the fact that they are all under 18 as well and this is most of their first jobs too, not to memtion the fact that they recieve no training or education on the menu) . By the way, that dish just cost you around 15.00. So if you want cold, poorly cooked and microwaved, pre made, store bought food coupled with terrible, untrained and uneducated service, please try the Wines of Colorado. Where canadians have been giving locals a bad name and food poisoning since 2013. Oh but they have a nice patio. Sometimes it takes anger for the truth to come out. But i give you my word, nothing i have stated is a lie. If you dont believe me, ask the owner for a tour of his kitchen. Sincerely, Chef Karma

Id like to respond to the review from Tyler Marshall, the ex-employee that posted a negative review recently and set the record straight. First, this employee was fired because of basic incompetence and lack of cooking skills. Im not gonna trash him personally because I dont know him and this is a review on the wines, not someones lack of culinary skills. Ill give you the REAL inside scoop of the Wines of Colorado.... The kitchen staff is here are far from being children- everyone here has worked in kitchen for several years. Everyone knows and practices health code standards. The meals are NOT prepared in a microwave... they are prepared fresh to order. The kitchen staff consists of men that have ran Alaskan fishing camps, cooked for celebrities and even catered parties for a former president! Id say thats pretty impressive for a bunch of "kids"! Marv is one the best small business owners I have ever met! He is open, honest, trustworthy, treats his employees and guests with respect. I wish other locally owned businesses would take lessons from him. Kelly is the GM here.... his knowledge of local wines is amazing! All I can say is come in and give it a try! Great food, great wines, knowledgeable staff, great owners and management... support your local businesses. And Tyler AKA Chef Big Dog" AKA Chef Karma heres a tip.... you arent a chef if you cant cook spaghetti! You also look real pathetic writing negative reviews on places where you get fired... grow up, dude! (Also, I am not an employee of the Wines...I just support local businesses)

My wife and I love this place; we have been there probably 10 times and have never had a bad experience. We have ordered the crackers and cheese several times and always take half home to enjoy later. The ambiance by the creek is very nice. From Hwy 24 you would think it is just a tourist trap place, but it is really a very nice creekside dining experience coupled with a retail wine store. What that means is you pay regular retail for a nice Colorado bottle of wine that you pick out in the wine store and then enjoy it next to a classic Colorado creekside setting. As opposed to paying a jacked up crazy price in a regular restaraunt. If you want a sommelier to educate you on wines at $100 per $20 bottle, go to the Broadmoor. The entree prices are in the $10-15 range, and I think the quality is very acceptable for that price range. If your neighbor invited you over and served this food, you would rave over it. It is a very comfortable setting next to a very pleasant creek with very acceptable backyard / Colorado cookout type food. The waitstaff appears to be mostly young college age kids. Cut them a break and go with the youthful energy, and have a good time. They do a very good job with a limited kitchen. Plan on ordering an extra glass of wine just in case they are backed up. With the youthful staff, you might have to sit out on the most pleasant creekside patio on the front range 20 minutes longer than you planned. Since we dont go to sit by the creek with any sense of hurry that has never been a problem for us.

I HATE THIS PLACE WITH A CAPITAL "H" !! I have been three three times and out of the three Ive only ate there once...yes ONCE!! The first time we went the wait was an hour to sit, 20 min to order and another hour for food....THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE!!!! THE BATHROOMS ARE HORRIBLE!! THE second time we try again we stood infront of the waiter station to be seated....25 mins...there was only a couple people there and about 6 watress running around and talking to themselves...I finailly went up to this high bar area where you pay and they told me to wait and someone would be with me...15 more min and finaly I went and sat down somewhere...20min later a watress who was talking to another waitress finaly came by to get drink orders but never brough a menu....20 min later still no drinks and we left.... Thrid try: Same thing waited in front of the waiter station for 15 min still no one..so I seated my self... the waitress keep walking by the table but wouldnt give us the time or day...25 min later we left!!!! This place is a discrace

I have been to Wines of Colorado many times as I am a local. The food is and service are poor but it is the only restaurant in Cascade where I live. I find it ironic that the word Wine is in their name as they serve all of their wines in 1970 Chablis glasses!(tacky) I went yesterday to meet a friend for a glass of wine by the river. It was 4:45pm and only a few tables were occupied. They harassed me for not having a reservation and told me I could not sit at any of the tables even though they were free and apparently the reservations for at least several of them were for 6pm. One of the wait staff told me I could sit "on the rocks by the river" if I wanted to stay. Really? I asked for the owner and told him about this terrible service. He listened to me... acted shocked and apologized. Then he went back upstairs. I sat (on a chair I had gone and gotten from a stack against the wall) and waited 10 minutes. No one came and waited on me. I left and will never go back.
