My moms high school friend and her three kids were in town from California along with my cousin who was flying back to Orange County, California the next day all decided to go out for dinner at the Mellow Mushroom. We had an amazing server. But we called ahead for reservations for a table of nine and the young man who answered was so rude told us that we couldnt make reservations. When we got there on that chilly rainy night and a couple of us got drinks at the bar including me. A bridal party of twenty walks in and the young man who answered our phone call says hi youre the party of twenty right this way. They were seated after we called in for reservations way before this wedding party. This location was not even busy at the time when we arrived. There was an empty table already cleaned off and ready. It took forty five minutes just to get seated plus there wasnt even a place for me to sit. When my food came it was cold, hard, and disgusting. My fiance and I wont be going back after my experience with food poisoning

If I didnt have to put a star I wouldnt. Saying this Mellow Mushroom is a 1 star is giving them too much credit: I ordered a pizza through Groupon delivery and when my pizza came it was not what I ordered, not even close. I called Mellow Mushroom and explained to them that I did not receive the right pizza the hostess asks to put me on hold so she can get the manager but instead of being put on hold she hung up on me and did not call back. I then called again and was able to speak with the manager who was ABSOLUTLEY UNAPOLOGETIC. He said there was nothing he could to fix the mistake that was made by HIS restaurant and that I would have to contact Groupon myself. I thought was unacceptable so now I am driving downtown in the rain to Mellow Mushroom to try to get the pizza that I ordered. I will update my review accordingly.

I used to love this place but Ill never come in again. My friend and I came in around 9:15pm for some food and the bartender wouldnt give us a table, I personally didnt want to sit at the bar. She was clearly VERY drunk. Told us we could only get pretzels tho the kitchen is supposed to close at ten. We clearly said we only wanted to spend $10 but she continued to bring us things we didnt order, was too busy doing shots with her coworkers, opening new bottle after another. Triple charged us. When I called to speak with a manager the next day, he took my number and never called back. Used to be a great place, HORRIBLE service now...

We happened upon this place while exploring Denver and were really happy we did! The dining atmosphere is awesome; it has a very modern look and comfortable sitting areas with tons of TVs (albeit slightly small tables). I dont know why this stuck out, but their menu covers are pretty epic. The food was really, really good too. We had a pizza and pretzels with their beer cheese, which I would strongly recommend. Overall, this place was great for the money and I had a really enjoyable experience. The only (slight) drawback was that our waitress wasnt very knowledgeable about the beer selection.

Tonight I went out for the best pizza in Denver, what I got was a OK not excellent pizza. I have had other pizzas that were better, and cheaper. Thirty bucks ($30) including a tip for a large pizza is what I paid for this gorgeous pizza that tasted excellent, but was soon ruined by its nearly in-editable crust. I live near to a Pizza Hut, and order there frequently. I can get a large for eight dollars ($8), and no tip because I just carryout. Pizza Hut tastes just as good, and the crust is editable. Mellow Mushroom doesnt deserve to serve pizza into my mouth.

Got my pizza delivered through postmates so I do not know who is to blame. This review is being written during a hangry moment, so it might be a little harsh. I did just pay $33.00, so I feel entitled to rant. Ordered pizza with banana peppers and got green peppers instead. #firstworldproblems #noshame *UPDATE I was contacted by management and they were very receptive. They listened and accepted the feedback. I appreciate the response I received and will be dining at this location again.

Edit: Last visit Colin was very cool, after we were seated no one showed up. We waved Colin down and he took care of us even though we werent in his area. We go here often, great pizza place. Unique varieties of pizza, which tasted great. So do the wings. Food and drinks are mostly reasonably prices. Two of us usually spend 25 bucks. 30 with a beer. I recommend the buffalo chicken pizza or the potato pizza. For wings I recommend the Thai chili flavor

We were greeted by an unenthusiastic host who didnt seem to care to speak at all. We had to wait 20 minutes until we finally got serviced. When we did the waiter seemed rude and inconsiderate. We also had no silverware or napkins at our table while others tables did. We then asked for napkins and our server said okay then took 5 minutes to get them to us when they were 5 feet away from our table. I did not enjoy this restaurant or its workers.

Definitely a chain restaurant. I went there for a birthday party last night at their 16th St Mall location. While the atmosphere was nice, though the booth a little bit of a squeeze(Im skinny), the food was all too familiar unfortunately. I tastes almost exactly like Dominos and charges Old Chicago prices. With so many local pizza spots in Denver selling so much delicious food, theres no reason to stop by this place unless its convenient.

I have been to a few Mellow Mushroom restaurants in my day and this one is solid. The pizza is on par with what we get here in Atlanta and the beer selection is right on the money for Denver. The one thing this one has over some of the others is the atmosphere... its a big space but its open and very much takes on the "downtown" vibe since you can see everything from the patio all the way through the kitchen and everything in between. A+

Worst customer service of all time. Waiter seemed to be rushed and didnt want to help us out. His first approach to us was "You want water?! or?!" and left. Didnt even check on us once during the entire time we were there until we waited for our check and got upset when we got tired of waiting on him and tried to pay ourselves. As well as threw our change on the table. His name was Zachary. Very disappointed.

Hands down, best Mellow Mushroom Ive ever been to. Staff were super friendly, despite it being chaos due to the conference I was with. The food was consistently yummy and the kitchen kept up much better than I wouldve ever expected! I originally had this at a 4 star rating but after thinking about it I see zero reason why they dont deserve a solid 5 star rating. They absolutely earned it!

We were here from out of town. Stopped in because it looked fun. The red potato pizza was one of the beat pizzas Ive ever had. The crust was so unique and delicious. I was confused about the crust at first i thought it was burnt. Then i tried it and realized it was just a little carmalization from sugars in the dough and the fact they use a wheat/white blend of flour. Very delicious!!!
