I was very disappointed in Duffeyrolls customer service this morning. It is unfortunate, because my friend and I live in the neighborhood, and visit the cafe often for morning coffee. For approximately 4 years now, Ive ordered Duffeyrolls Hummus Florentine breakfast sandwich, often sharing it with my friend. This morning, the sandwiches were spicy, so peppery, neither my friend, nor I, could finish. Our mouths were virtually on fire! I spoke with a server and a woman named Laurie (sp.?) I politely asked whether I could make a comment, and Laurie, who appeared to be a manager, hesitated. Once Id explained the situation, she said, "Were sorry the sandwich did not meet your specifications." I pointed out to her that this was not a matter of my taste, that it was and is a health issue. I said I could understand the Company deciding to change the menu item, but that many people (in my case recovery from stomach ulcers) cannot eat blistering hot food ... that, among other things, someone unaccustomed to this change might even offer this sandwich to a child. I suggested they add a warning, or just put a chili pepper symbol on the menu item. I never heard anything like, "Were so sorry this happened, and we will speak to the kitchen staff right away." I never heard, "May I refund the cost of the sandwich?" or "Wed like to offer you a coupon for free coffee." These two women were completely unsympathetic, until my friend went into the store and asked for Lauries name. Then, the server said they had addressed the issue with the kitchen staff. She did confirm that there have been staff changes. Their former staff were wonderful! Duffeyroll is not inexpensive. They have lost a loyal and frequent customer in me -- Im still stinging, both literally and figuratively.

The Duffeyroll Café is Duffey-licious and has been naughty good since 1986! They claim to have "legendary cinnamon rolls," and I am not sure about that, but them rolls are delicious and nutritious. Well maybe not nutritious; but they should be! This establishment is within walking distance of where I reside, so I can walk off the Duffey-liciousness to maintain my quality of fitness which is nil. Their coffee is strong. Their breakfast sammiches on a rosemary ciabatta roll are spectacularly mouth-watering and served with a mini Duffeyroll on the side in its own waxed paper baggie thingie. One cannot forget the naughty good rolls. The handmade, baked-fresh daily rolls come in a variety of flavors: Original, Zesty Orange, Irish Cream, Mountain Maple, English Toffee and Pecanilla Crunch. As an alternative to other mainstream roll or doughnut businesses, I suggest coming to old South Pearl Street for an elegant local taste of Duffey-liciousness. Youll be glad you did.

Duffeyroll is one of Denvers great institutions. They do right everything about cinnamon rolls that Cinnabon does wrong Cinnabon is overly sweet doughy sickening bad for you and generally a nightmare in every chemical process way. Duffeyroll is flaky crispy feels and tastes like homemade sure its sugary although they now have delicious sandwiches and soups and wonderful savory Duffy rolls they are also just fantastically delicious without making you feel like youre sick and poisoning yourself every time you eat there. Do you know duffeyroll is to love duffeyroll and to miss out on the duffeyroll experience is to miss out on one of the great gifts that Denver has given the world

We were in there on a Saturday 2/2017. They had no regular cinnamon rolls all that they had were the miniatures and no regular coffee. The woman taking our order I think was on drugs. She seemed extremely confused. When I went to pay,I asked her if the machine accepted Apple Pay. Her response was "yes" when it didnt work she said, " I wasnt sure what you were asking" Geese then why did you say yes I thought to my self. Over all the staff seemed very hindered that there were customers in the store. Have to honestly say that the miniature cinnamon rolls tasted awful as well. We wont be going back.

Best cinnamon rolls, my a##! Their cinnamon rolls and food are horrible! This place is highly overrated and my group and I were so disappointed when we took our first bite. If you want a good cinnamon roll, then go to CINNABON!. Clearly all these highly rated reviews are from individuals who dont care what they eat. I dont recommend this place to anyone, if you catch yourself entering this place, leave right away. Biggest waste of money, we threw our food away after a few bites.

Far too expensive for me to visit on a regular basis, but thats not their fault at all. If you just want breakfast, go somewhere else. If you want cinnamon rolls and coffee that will likely be the highlight of your day, look no further! My favorite is the Duffy Latte. I was skeptical, but it seriously tastes like a buttery roll in your mouth.

Duffys have the BEST rolls and lovely croissants. Soups and sandwiches, and nice staff. If you throw this away, your tastebuds have died ...lol. If your looking for gluten free, youll have to avoid the breads. If youre looking for flakey buttery breakfast rolls, youve found a great place!

Really tasty Mo Betta BLT came with a delicious cinnamon bun on the side, excellent surprise touch. Even the lemonade tasted extra good. Nice place with prompt, friendly service. Dont be put off by the un-cool exterior if you like your food to taste good.

The Duffeyroll Cafe has amazing iced tea. The BLT was excellent, the Duffeyroll delicious. The soup was a little cold but otherwise delicious. The staff seemed to work well together and they were all very friendly and welcoming.

Tried the Pumpkin roll, for $3.75+tax. I thought the rolls were $2.50. The roll was no better than a $1 Safeway roll, truly. Call me old fashioned, but $4 for a Safeway roll just says Duffeys has changed.

Pros: the best rolls ever! Cons: loud, bad music. Plastic in my food (very bad situation with my Crohns Disease). Wont be having sandwiches anymore, but I will come back for the rolls.

Met friends here for breakfast. It had been a few years since eating here. Food was great and I was pleasantly surprised how good their coffees are. Been back twice in the last 3 weeks.

Been going here every week for many years now. I really like Janie. She has always been so friendly and helpful. She remembers what my friend and I order. Great place to sit and talk!

These are a must! No matter the location. The variety pack of miniatures is good to sample the flavors but you really need a big one to truly enjoy the soft, doughy center.

I got the turkey sandwich and it was bomb. Also I got a mini cinnamon roll on the side and that was delicious as well. Nice touch to include that with the which.

This place is iconic and therefore earns a reverent 5 star rating. That said: the classic Duffey Roll and a coffee are the only things worth ordering.

deeeeelicious! Visiting from Texas and this was perfect for that flavor of home. Beware, sticky cinnamon can be found on your person afterwards.

While I was writing reviews, I thought I would throw out a two thumbs up to Duffyrole... the best way to start your day in Denver.

Loved the coffee and low carb breakfast sandwich. Always appreciate places with low carb/gluten free options :)
