I have never written a negative review before, and truthfully this place wasnt that bad; coffee is ok, pastries are good but a little overpriced. Atmosphere is a little dingy but I like the free books. The only thing I was really taken aback by was the rudeness of one of the baristas. Like another review said, a smile and a hello does go a long way. But the guy I encountered went a little further than lacking a warm attitude; he passive aggressively made an unwarranted comment about my quiet speaking voice when he was taking my order. He was short with a customer who was in front of me as well. Maybe he was just having an off day and isnt like that all the time, but my experience was uncomfortable and I will not be returning.

I just made my first visit to the new common grounds; relocated from west highland to sunnyside. sadly, its more of the same, half-assed and hacked together. the place has been open only weeks, and has a layer of filth on it thats inexplicable in that time frame. given, not everything is new in the place, but the stuff that is, has not yet been cleaned. like the old store, the 44th location is dingy and disorganized. im glad common grounds isnt a blinged out merch booth like starbucks, but i dont need to see dirty wet rugs piled up outside the bathroom. I hope the owner wises up and hires a thorough cleaning crew to maintain the store this time around.

We come here quite often and usually have a good time, but recently tried it on a Sunday night at about 6. The 2 people working seemed put out that they had to serve us. The place was nearly empty, and I guess they liked it that way. We ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread and it was dry and the bread was still frozen. For the price it was very disappointing. Ive had the same sandwich during the busy times and it was great. Get some better staff for Sunday night. We havent returned since.

Always friendly and knowledgeable staff. Consistent great service and environment. I go to get work done and listen to music, its perfect because everyone is nice but keeps the chill atmosphere so you can think and focus. Needless to say the coffee selection is great and they always have real honey which is a plus. Recommend trying it.

I love the atmosphere and vibe of this chill little coffee shop. It is such a nice place to order a pot of tea or a cup of coffee and sit down to read a book. They also have the best hummus Plate with their very own in house hummus. Probably the best hummus I have ever had. I need to visit this coffee shop more often...

Fantastic place. Baristas are nice and very down to earth. Plenty of space but gets crowded since it is so popular. Sandwiches are awesome. All food is fresh. Heads and tails better than rude staff and lousy food at coffee and cork. Internet always works too My favorite coffee shop in Denver so far

They make pretty good chai. Not so happy with the lack of pain tea. Most people will like the blends. Me I like straight hibiscus for instance, they dont have it. I had a sandwich once it was fairly tasty, it isnt really meant to be filling food to the extreme. This place is a coffee shop after all.

I was a regular at the old Highlands location, and I think I like this new place even better. Same friendly, knowledgeable staff, same great coffee, but a cooler vibe. The garage-type doors really bring the outside in, and thats fantastic! Ill be a regular here, too.

Simply put, the coffee was horrible and the service lacked in every way imaginable. A smile and a warm welcome goes a long way, but this place had neither. It was truly a disappointment. I gave it a star only because there was nothing lower to give them.

Loved the old place, love the new place better. Even though I miss the old lumpy chairs, this location is so much better. A nice neighborhood feel, not the rushed feeling at the old place. Be great to have a space for private coffee meetings...

This was a cute little coffee shop. They had good options of foods and drinks and the place wasnt loud. A good place if you are looking to have a meeting, or get some studying or work done. Everyone here was very nice as well!

I have come here for years and it never fails to impress me. Their coffee is superb, the employees are kind and willing to help, and its relaxing to come here after work to just read a book and wind down for the evening.

Love the drinks & food! I know this is personal preference but I do not like the smell of roasting beans, so I try to stay away on those days BUT otherwise LOVE the people who work there and all the magic they put out

Love Common Grounds. Terrific when I need to work or when I just want to hang out with a good book. Much more comfortable and personable than a chain. Great coffee and delicious food!

Weve been meeting at CG every Saturday morning for about 20 years going back to the 32nd Ave address. Everything about the place is great, but the people make it the absolute best!

Fantastic spot to tuck in and enjoy a cup of tea or a latte. The atmosphere is lovely and the coffee is REALLY good. They even roast the coffee in house. Check it out!
