I think you can decide what you think however I will never go here again. I was not impressed when we first started but then things turned worse. A homeless man walked in with a wad of cash and a horrible smell. The entire place smelled like a Sewer in seconds. I understand something needed to be done. However the self righteousness of the staff and patrons smelled worse then the homeless man. The man paid for a shot and a beer. As he was enjoying his beverages he was asked to leave at the uncomfortableness of the patrons. He left with no attention drawn yet left without his shot. All the patrons laughed At his smell and the manager and servers laughed with the patrons. My friends and i grew very uncomfortable. I understand not wanting the smell, but you took his money. The least you could do was let him finish his drink. They did let him drink outside After closing the doors and moving all patrons to the back while joking with them all. I am not sure what the right thing to do was but it made me uncomfortable. And no not the homeless man but the self righteousness of the patrons and staff that they were better then him. I wont go here again. If they didnt take his money maybe it wouldnt have sat as bad. But i think it was wrong to have him pay then ask him to leave without letting him enjoy his beverages. Again I wasnt impressed to begin with but the end put a bad taste in my mouth. I will not support a place that treats people so unkind.

I was very happily surprised at this place. It wasnt too busy when we went, so there was a nice, quiet and empty ambiance. The building dates back to the late 1800s so there is an inherent historical and cultural intrigue to enjoy there. (It once served as a saloon and a brothel). Ive seen food complaints on the other reviews, but still give the Vault a try, as the waitress indicated that the menus we saw were only a few days old, and we all found our meals to be quite delightful. The buffalo burger is especially fantastic, definitely give it a try. The service was top notch, our waitress Hillary took very good care of us and treated us with genuine kindness and hospitality and exhibited that she loved her job. Youll find quickly that shes a true southerner. Perhaps the icing on the cake was the tour. The Blake Street Vault has some very rich history, and if you ask to check things out downstairs (Hillary guided us on a short tour), youll learn some fascinating things about the iconic establishment, including the creepy lore of the Vault after which the place is named.

Just got back from the Vault for lunch. I guess people go here for the drinks, not the food. It had a good vibe, good decorations and the server was nice but it took a while for the food to come out. When it did I was not impressed. Entree plus 2 sides it turns out is Entree plus garnish. The green beans side is actually about 5 beans. The meatloaf was under cooked (I wasnt sure if this was intentional) and Im ok with rare usually but this was a flavorless chewy meat with red chunks in it, could have been carrots or red peppers not sure. At first I thought it was bloody meat. The meat as a whole was not hot so I started to think it was just a mistake from the kitchen but I didnt send it back. Even if it had been fully cooked the flavor was not worth it. Mashed potatoes were good but nothing special. And I felt really cheated because this was a 12 dollar lunch :-(

I am making judgement purely on the drinks here. I have not tried the food - but in an area where there are so many great restaurants, I go here for drinks only. That out of the said, this place always has a great selection of beers on tap that make for a great happy hour! The primary reason for 5 stars however is in their Old Fashioned. A year ago I would have passed on this drink at the Vault. I tried one (two actually!) recently and the improvement is remarkable!! This is an amazing drink here, made exactly as they should be with nothing unnecessary added. The blueberry on the stir stick is a nice touch, though, that makes it unique to the Vault. This is a dangerous place to have nearby to work - I can see myself being more willing to go here for happy hour with the recent improvement to their cocktails!!

One of the better burgers on the Mall (which is damning it with faint praise, but it really is a decent burger). The fries are pretty awful - soggy and salty - but the burger itself was nicely made, with a fair stock of veggies piled on. The roll was spineless and sogged out before the second bite, but good luck finding anywhere in Denver where that isnt true. The place itself is a nice old saloon, with comfortable booths and friendly, helpful service. Just ignore the crowd; its the same cut-and-paste bros-and-yuppies group youll find everywhere in LoDo. Been here twice so far, and Ill be coming back.

I have been here twice in the last two weeks, both times I really enjoyed myself. The first time I went was for dinner before a bachelor party, our waitress was incredible and a lot of fun and the food was amazing. The drinks were relatively cheap and the tour of the building was very cool. The second time they had the music way too loud and the waitress wasnt the best, but she did her job. Overall I would recommend this place to anybody wanting to go to a decent pub without it being too overcrowded.

Great bar for grabbing a drink! The place itself has a really cool, historical vibe (walking ghost tours are often seen coming in and heading down to the basement). I was also completely surprised by how great the food was, if youre planning on settling for bar food, definitely check this place out! Prices are reasonable, the bar is huge (couple big TVs for watching games), and the bartenders and servers are all friendly. One of my favorite spots for a low-key drink and some food!

The food was great. Service and Atmosphere were terrible. The website shows a nice bar atmosphere and prompt service. We got LOUD club music and a server that was MIA most of the night. The burgers were great and was the only good point to come from the evening. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a place to eat great food and have a drink away from the club scene of LoDo.

This was their first year dealing with the gabf crowd so service was a little spotty. We had a waitress when we first sat down and then no one came to our table after that. Later on, we were told they dont service the tables so I guess the first server did us a favor. But, it would have been nice to know that we needed to go to the bar. It was nice to find a place that wasnt packed after the beer fest.

Waited 45 mins to get food during lunch when only 3 other tables in the restaurant. Food came out very cold, waitress never checked on us and had an overall bad attitude and was very rude. Their happy hour and drinks are good though so I might return to drink since I work very close but then again FreshCraft is very close as well.
