Food was ok, service poor. Im giving this restaurant 3 stars and Im being generous. Heres the deal, the management and staff are inexperienced but that can be fixed. In the end, the meal was free , not because we asked for or were looking for a free meal but because I think the owner after trying to defend his poor staff choices just wanted us gone. By the way, the owner came up to us after my husband posted his short review and first thing out of his mouth was "I just saw your review and that was hurtful" ...Hurtful..."but Ill take your review"...ummm, yes sir, you will and this one as well. The owner is right, no one is perfect but dont pile the bad upon bad...service choices and then come at us like we set out this morning to ruin your day. So what happened, Im sure your wondering? First of all, let me say the hostess, manager and waitress were all nice people. However, the waitress took so long to take our order that when she came to our table , she asked "did I take your order?"....ummm, no . Once ordered , the food came out fast but sadly...my husband and had a nice long, black hair spanning the length of his pancakes (in between the two cakes)...now we have been known to just pick off a random hair and carry on. But the length if it was just too much. So we hunted our waitress (she had disappeared) and had them make it new. She said sorry and that shed tell the manager (who never came to the table) ...when we did get the new food, it was good. But she never came back to say, "how is it now?" She did walk past the table many times however she just never stopped by ours... and the manager never came by to apologize. Now we were done and sat for 10 minutes, no pre-bussing of the table...no check...and that is when the husband wrote his review and we got up to ask for the check...they were originally going to charge us for the entire meal and to be fair if they hadnt made us wait 20 min. to order we would have paid...its not about the money. However, we did mention the hair when we got the check and thats when the manager took off the husbands plate. It could have been all made better but instead the owner had to come over and argue about the hurtful review and discuss the fact that they are just starting food service. Sorry, thats not our problem. Please take this review as a learning experience. Customers arent coming in to hurt or help you, we just want good service and not excuses. When bad things happen - apologize until it hurts. Dont come at the customer because then you get a second review.

What a delight! When we began our search for a coffee place that went the healthier route, we were happy to have found it in a non-chain, locally owned shop. I called and the owner, Jesse, answered and assured us that he had a non-carrageenan option in the almond milk for my friends chai tea. The location on Trail Boss in Castle Rock, right by the new Kaiser Permanente location and just north of Natural Grocers was easy to find. We were greeted by friendly staff as we walked in, and they readily whipped us up the perfect so much healthier chai and a 2% milk latte for me - they even have raw stevia as a sweetener option! We decided to go for eggs, toast, and potatoes while we were there - it was brought to us at our table - on a china plate with real silverware - so much better than the packaged-in-plastic options at other places. And we had a delicious little gluten free cookie made by the owners wife before we left - they apparently have several gf options that well try next time. Kid friendly, yes, but there were young adults, business folks and seniors there as well. We will oh-so-happily make this our new go-to coffee shop!

We wanted to like it. I am all for a small local place, but our first and probably only visit we waited in line for about 25 minutes with only 5 ahead if us and 2 employees. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 breakfast bagels and a muffin. 1 drink was the wrong size, not a huge deal but the latte was way too hot.. I let it sit for an hour before It was the temperature of a dazbog or Starbucks coffee. The muffin was dry, the bagel sandwiches were not toasted, made with processed cheese slices and the bacon was way way undercooked. $20 later it was not worth it. I hate to give someone 1 star but honestly I cant give it 2. Maybe a 1.5 because the employees were nice...

This place is amazing! The staff go above and beyond. They always make sure that you are taken care of. The owners are present and are very involved. They remember your name and want to get to know you, which is really special. The employees are all kind and welcoming. Furthermore, the COFFEE is delicious. Ive never been served anything weird or with that burnt coffee aftertaste (that Ive experienced in more hoity toity coffee shops. The food is also amazing. Also, very family oriented. Seriously love this place! Its my official watering hole

Ran like a coffee shop with a decent kitchen menu. Unfortunately, without a hostess and waiters the seating area is a free for all and ordering food is like waiting in line for a roller coaster on a sunny day. Also with only one cook an four burners, (it appears by 50 minute wait from time of ordering to eating) there service is severely degraded. This is an example of what happens when an owner has a clever idea but no experience in the industry. Without a change, I give them less then two years.

Im visiting from out of town and thought i would give Cookies and crema a try since the reviews were good. I was actuallly excited to try it. My experience was pretty bad. First of all the blonde girl at the counter had an attitude with me for some reason? I had to greet her. I ordered a frozen drink and i got an iced drink. I let her know i asked for the frozen drink and she insisted i ordered ice. The drink i got had no flavor. She should stay off her phone and learn some customer service.

I was in Castle Rock for business and wanted to find a coffee shop that might sell hot apple cider. I called and spoke with Becca on the phone and she was incredibly nice and answered all my questions and recommended a hot caramel apple cider. Probably the best cider I have ever had. Creamy frothy you have to try it to know how good it is. The gal that helped me behind the counter was incredibly nice friendly and the service was great. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend.

Awkward employees, one sick wiping his nose and delivering food, and am extremely rude woman. She at one point dropped off a drink to my table and just threw it down without stopping to properly place it down. Got a gift card and wanted to give it a shot hoping for a good coffee. Turns out it wasnt even good coffee and way too expensive for what you get. Will not be returning because I dont go to a coffee place to be around rude, inconsiderate employees.
