I used to like this place the food was great and very well priced, but lately the service is horrible the people are rude and the food is not the same. They either have a new cook or their cooks are getting lazy. I used to purchase a taco for breakfast and I would get on hot sauce, then I purchase 3 tacos the last time and I only got 2 hot sauces, so I asked the lady for another on and I was told I had to pay .17 cents or so. I told her that if I would buy three tacos separately I would get a hot sauce for each, so she tell me that I still have to pay for the extra sauce. After I paid i asked for a receipt and she got upset, oh well if I am paying for I should be entitle to a receipt. Ever since then I have not gone back, it is not the point of a .17 cent sauce, it is the simple fact that the they were rude and lost a customer. I would not recommend this restaurant the way it is now. There is a new Mexican restaurant in FM78 next to the FM78 club the food is excellent, go there to see the difference for yourself.....

I used to come to El Sabrositos at least once a week for about 2 years before I moved to Cibolo. But lately when I come the food is hit or miss. The barbacoa its either perfectly seasoned or dry withe no taste. The lengua is usually very good but some days it just tastes old and tasteless. The last time I went I waited for 20 minutes to get my food or should I say I never got my food because they lost my ticket. The lady came to explain to me that they lost my ticket but had a smirk on her face, letting me know that she would get charged for the food if my ticket was lost. I didnt care who was going to get charged for my food I just wanted my food but never got it. Ive also had some issues with my beans, sometimes their season perfectly, sometimes theyre salty, and sometimes theyreally salty and old. When the food is good its perfect but when its not its horrible. Parking sucks and lately the staff has been lazy and rude. I may try it one more time in the near future and hope it has all changed for the better.

It was okay food at best. Probably wont go back. It may be just a difference in cultures from Mexico. I lived in Phoenix,Az for more than 30years and it is just a different style and flavor of Mexican food that I am use to. Take for instance you go to Wisconsin and have chicken fried steak then you go to somewhere on the West coast and have it aswell. It taste totally different cause of different cultures and flavors in those totally different areas of the United States.. Cant just stop at chicken fried steak either. Pizza,Bar B Que or whatever you are into eating is going to taste totally different in a different part of the country or for that matter the world than what you might be acustome to tasting.

The customer service overall is terrible. Theres about two waitresses that are good but the rest seem very unfriendly. I received a nasty look from two of the ladies running the drive thru. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Anyways, I happen to receive my food at the same time as a nother customer who happened to be Hispanic. The cashier happily wished her a great day and thanked her and proceeded to not say jack to me. It was infuriating to say at the most. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Nobody should be treated like that. P.S. this isnt the first incident either. They seem to treat their people better than others. No bueno. They have good carne guisada though. Thats about it.

Have eaten their breakfast multiple times and every time it is absolutely hot and delicious. I only gave 4 stars because I have not eaten lunch/dinner items, but based on their breakfast food, I have no doubt its just as delicious. The prices are great! I recommend you call your order in ahead of time, or you can expect a 15-25 minute wait. They are packed in the mornings and late afternoon to close, and always busy on the weekends. They are closed on Sundays. Go try their food and youll see why theyre always busy! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious Mexican food in Converse.

I gave it one star because that was the lowest you could give inorder to submit a review. Our waitress walked away before asking if i wanted to order. I had requested limes she didnt bring first time around. She didnt want to go over specials. Every request was met with attitude. So i got charged more because had she explained specials better i could of saved. If you do not like your job find something your passionate about.

Excellent food, enough said! Okay the drive through does take awhile (quite awhile actually), but if you call in an order its ready when you get there at the pick-up window. Call for pickup at the pick-up window is the way to go if you have a menu or know what you want already. Never have gotten my order wrong in the 8 or 10 years Ive been going there way to often.

Ive been going here to eat since about the year 2000. Ive moved further away since then, but I still find a way to go and order the menudo. The owner makes sure all is in order. Ive tried many of the plates and they are still just as great as the first time. If your thinking about giving this place a try, better attend mid week because its packed on the weekends.

I use to come here for breakfast tacos and LOVED them.. Came here last night for some Carne Guisada tacos and got some REALLY bad meat.. in the bathroom all night long with food poisoning.. I did eat something after the tacos but I knew it was the tacos because it was the ONLY thing I threw up.. it will be a LONG time before I ever come back, if I ever do..

We were in the area and this place has a 4.0 so we went in to have breakfast. Margarita was friendly and attentive, the carne guisadas were on point with flavor, tortillas were made there and we were told everything there is made fresh except the tamales.This place was clean which is a plus; its definitely a place well be back to.

I really enjoyed this restaurant versus the El Pollo Loco, or El Taco Tote (chain), because this is better, cheaper, and fast! I loved the service, and the food. If you are looking for good food in San Antonio this place is one to put on the map. Very attentive to your drinks, and how you are enjoying the food.

Ive seen the kitchen of this restaurant and they dont do enough sanitation. They have had a serious problem with german roaches for a long long time and the owner doesnt want to change the way they keep the kitchen. Im surprised that the health department hasnt done their job here.

Uncomfortable seating (no cushions on chairs or in booths). Mediocre rice, lumpy refried beans, no good vegan or seafood specials on Good Friday. Not the friendliest service but the place was jammed. The chili relleno just wasnt all that, either. Prefer Taco Cabana or Las Palapas!
