Not bad food, expensive, but also a terrible menu. Somebody thought being "whimsical" with the menu was cute and funny but it makes the menu nearly unusable. The titles of menu items are not descriptive and they are without a complete or proper description of the item to tell you what the item is. A menu item: “A Chef’s Salad? Your old favorite with ham, turkey, swiss and cheddar. An egg or two plus tomatoes and sprouts.” Are they saying they are not sure this is a Chef’s Salad by using a question mark? Since a Chef’s Salad is a common menu item, you might want to ask if it is actually a real salad since the menu seems to suggest it might not be. Another actual menu item: “Le Toast Francais - Having this item, with all the foreign words and connotations, could finally get us the respect we deserve. Topped with fresh strawberries, bananas and powdered sugar. With whipped butter, syrup and powdered sugar.” I think this might be French Toast, but I’m not sure since they also have: “French Toast Formidable- Our already great French toast stuffed with a rich mixture of cream cheese and raspberry preserves. Unique et magnifiqué. Have fresh strawberries and bananas for Sin-namon French Toast. This IS Sinful.” Here are two drinks offered on the menu, but what the heck are they? ““YOUR” SUMMER DRINK It never hurts to ask. We might be able to make it “YOUR” WINTER DRINK Mr. Boston wrote the book, or did you?” The menu is also disorganized with comments all over the place. A menu isn’t something that a customer should have to study to try to figure out what might be the French toast or a ham & cheese omelet. I want food, not an emersion into the restaurant’s secret meanings and flights of fancy. Not using common terminology means wasting extra time to have to read and study the menu to find a simple omelet or French toast. I saw several tables of customers having the waitress explain the menu or waiting to simply ask if they have a certain food item. It was aggravating and a waste of time to sit there to try to figure out the menu. We won’t be back. I prefer an enjoyable customer experience, not a waste of time and a brain teaser for a menu.

In case you are seeing negative reviews, people may have their wires crossed. Dozens Denver, not so good. Dozens Aurora though...yes! From Dozens in Aurora: Hello the staff of Dozens in Aurora has been made aware of the situation, and we feel terrible about what happened at Dozens Denver. We would like to make clear that the Dozens in Denver and Aurora have been separated for many years now. We are not a franchise, nor associated with the Dozens Denver by anything other than the name. We have a different owner named Chris Miley. Unfortunately we have been receiving backlash as per the occurred event. Backlash such as phone calls asking for John, bad reviews, and much loss of customers. We hope this clears up any questions about us. I will personally not be replying to any more comments, if you have more questions please feel free to contact us. Thank you for hearing us out.

Literally the WORST breakfast my family and I have ever had. The menu is confusing and sarcastic which looks like it was an attempt to be cute but its very annoying. Especially if you just want to order something simple like eggs and bacon. The service was incompetent and slow and the food is not fresh. Our eggs tasted like they were made from powder and we were completely overcharged. My moms scrambled eggs were served on a teacup saucer plate while mine were served on a large plate with potatoes and hers were more expensive. My parents were visiting from out of town and Im sorry and thoroughly embarrassed I brought them to Dozens to try. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Sams #3 down the street. Never again will I ever come back.

The service is ok. That is the two stars. I have gone here about 4 or 5 times now with my aunt who lives close by. However they have a little plaque now on the table that says "Higher wages across Colorado means happier employees, but it also means higher food costs". So, my aunt (who is 84 and ordered only toast) and my wife and 3 year old had breakfast yesterday. The bill was $60 before tip! We had coffees and waters for the adults and an o.j. for the young one. Totaled out we got out of there paying $72 for 3 people to eat (one only had toast). Bottom line, they have passed all the costs onto the consumer and dont believe in dipping into their profit margins to fuel the better standards and higher wages for the works.

The prices here are too high. I am not sure that treating toast, English muffins, etc as an a late carte item is appropriate. That is what they do. Breakfast is always served with toast. I paid $ 30.00 approximately for 2 people for breakfast. IHOP, The Village inn, The Egg and I other independent restaurants are all cheaper. The food was good, the service was pretty good. The menu does not say that bread items are extra or that the omelettes come with a choice of bread and it is extra. No egg dishes come with it. You have to add it on. They need to rethink this. I use to go to the one downtown for years. I am sorry I will not go here again. Breakfast always needs to be affordable.

Waited for table for 5 said 25 mins no problem, my husband , son, grandson and grand daughter waited 40 minutes then they take us to an elevated booth I am 75 so is my husband our children are x football players, we tried squeezing into the booth nobody could move their arms, asked for another table was told there was only one table in restaurant that could hold 5 so we waited another 45 minutes, it could have been much easier to just add one chair to a table that would have worked fine , the kids on the check in couldnt figure that out, by the time we got seated I was exhausted the food came and it was cold, we have eaten here many times over the years but this was the worst

On a Saturday morning the wait was around 25 minutes, which sounds about right. The service was good - the waiter was friendly and attentive. There is free coffee in the front while you wait, which I liked. The cinnamon rolls are pretty good and I think about $2 (theyre huge). I had the stuffed french toast (two slices of french toast with cream cheese and raspberry preserves in the middle). My roommate and I agreed the inside took away from the taste of the french toast. It would be much better with about half as much cream and preserves. The fruit (bananas, strawberries, cantaloupe and pineapple) was all very good. Overall a good experience.

There was nothing particularly wrong with Dozens, but there was nothing particularly right either. All the food lacked salt, I rarely use table salt at a meal but here that shaker barley left my hand. The presentation of the food was on par for breakfast restaurants. The server didnt seem to be a morning person but was otherwise pleasant enough. I liked the feel of the layout, to the eye a bit cramped but once youre seated more then enough room to relax. Honestly, if someone wanted a breakfast recommendation Dozens wouldnt come to my mind, like I said the food was lacking and I feel if youre going to pay for a meal it better be better.
