My wife and I went in for breakfast. She had been there for lunch before and warned me it wasnt good. I wanted to try it anyways. A case of curiosity killing the cat. They have large portions which would be a good thing if the food was good. The bacon tasted strange. Possibly bad bacon or just poorly cured. For as much as bacon costs there you should be getting top quality bacon. The hash browns looked okay but tasted funny. Almost like too much margarine was used or some other contaminate from the grill. BTW margarine doesnt taste that good in the first place but something was really wrong with the hash browns. And the Eggs. I dont know if this is a Crazy Ottos thing or just the cooks here. But scrambled eggs shouldnt look calico. Try mixing it in a bowl first. I think they believe they are saving time by cracking eggs and using the spatula to try to "scramble" it on the grill. Please stop doing this. Scrambled eggs this way have the texture of a chopped up fried egg. Also our eggs were overcooked and dry. My chicken fried steak was burned and the gravy well it was funny as well probably because they put the same bacon in it. And lastly the coffee was meh. Now for the FUN part. About 10 minutes after leaving I felt ill. I kept wanting to throw up. Later that evening both my wife and I had a case of Montezumas revenge. This lasted through the next day. It wasnt an illness because only her and I had this happen, none of the kids have had it and nobody we know or have been in contact with have had this. Ive been to bad diners and I can deal with that but what prompted me to actually post a review is that Crazy Ottos charges way too much for what it is. You can go the Broadmoor or Garden of the Gods Gourmet for the prices you are charged here. We are really sad about this because ever since the Peak Grill closed there wasnt a decent breakfast place in the area anymore. Our hopes were dashed when we ate here. And I believe our health was compromised. Something huge needs to change here or it wont last the summer.

Went here about a week after they opened with great anticipation. Two of us had burgers. So a cheese burger is 10.99 and I am asked what kind of cheese I would like. I say Swiss. Burger comes out with a small amount of potato chips as a side. Burger was OK and the chips seemed meager. When the check arrives I am charged another $1.49 for the Swiss cheese. Keep in mind I order the CHEESEBURGER which normally comes with CHEESE! I argue saying my cheeseburger should come with cheese and the server insists that Swiss is a premium cheese and I have to pay the $1.49 extra. I was never told that Swiss is a premium cheese and I would have to pay extra. Very disappointing as lunch with an ice tea is now costing upwards of $17 out the door. This is a little ridiculous for lunch! Same story with the person with me who ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Lunch portions were not that large for the price. Service was good. Everything on the menu is very overpriced and virtually nothing is less than $10. Was really glad something opened up here, but come on man...

We went on Saturday, Feb. 6th for the first time for breakfast. Walked in, was seated right away in a back booth. Waited 20 minutes before our waitress even acknowledged us. Once she came over, she was very short and asked us what we wanted for drinks. We order a coffee and tea, waitress continues to wait on other tables, check other customers out, ect. We wait another 10 minutes, no drinks. An older gentleman was walking around pouring coffee into mugs, we ask him if we can have a tea and coffee. He says yes, but continues to talk to other tables, pouring them coffee and ignoring us. We got up and walked out. I will never recommend this restaurant. Customer service is just as important as quality of food and the customer service was so terrible, I wont be back and I wont be recommending this place to anyone. If you want a delicious breakfast, go east on Austin Bluffs and eat at Dougs! Amazing food and amazing customer service.

Normally I dont post reviews, but I feel this is warranted. Their breakfast sizes are huge. Its expensive, but some things are worth the price. I got an omelette filled with bacon, spinach, and mozzarella with a side of hash browns and ate about 1/3 before being too full to continue. The "hash browns" were almost inedible as they were closer to thin chunks of potato lathered in grease. Within 2 hours I felt horrible. My stomach had stabbing pains, I felt nauseous, and was overall very weak. For 3 days the symptoms continued and I barely ate anything. I dont know what was in their food, but it must have been bad because I NEVER have issues with my stomach. In conclusion, I would not recommend eating here unless youre looking for an expensive laxative.

The cooks were putting bacon and pancakes on the plates with their bare hands! Use tongs or a spatula! They put some gloves on and re-served the food, but even still - why serve with your hands? Then my hash browns were burned, and the replacements were undercooked. The biscuits and gravy and Machaca omelette did not taste as good / the same as when it was Crazy Ottos. But I got tired of complaining and the waiter didnt offer an adjustment or anything. Disappointing. It was my daughters birthday so Im glad her food was good.

I went here with my family last Sunday. The service was underwhelming, and when we received the food you could tell it had been sitting a while to say it was lukewarm is being generous. I ordered the Spanish omlette, honestly it felt more like I ordered onions with side of egg it was disgusting and I could not get through it. I love onion but if I wanted to feel as though I only wanted to eat an onion I wouldve stayed home. My family and I will not be returning.

I have been eating at Crazy Ottos since it first opened in Colorado Springs back in January (2015). I have never had a bad meal there yet. With their HUGE portions, I have never walked out feeling hungry. I highly recommend the "ham steak" breakfast. The pork chop breakfast is also excellent. I am pretty picky about my biscuits and gravy, and I find Crazy Ottos biscuits and gravy ( bacon gravy) to be amazing. "If you leave hungry, it is you own fault".

A small, family run diner serving breakfast and lunch. Large portions, good food and that old-time diner vibe. When I say large portions, I mean exceptionally large. You certainly would struggle to leave Ottos still hungry. The food is standard diner fare. Its hard to go wrong with their sandwiches, which are all as excellent as they are filling. The only caveat is that this is still a fairly new place that is still getting the machine well oiled.

What a great place! Excellent Reuben, the staff was helpful, friendly, and relaxed so even when our kids spilled they just smiled and quickly helped. Wow, the food was so good. A family owned and run place. The seasoned home fries were to die for, the garden salad had fresh ripe toppings even avocado piled high. Cute memorabilia everywhere. Brand new place. Plenty of seating for eight. Great burgers, great mac n cheese. Super delicious.
