Worst mexican food ever. Initially the salsa was gross. We ordered the $10 vegetarian burrito which was a tortilla with a can of Veg-all in it complete with carrots, potatos, peas, Lima and green beans and "boiled pinto beans" which was all unflavored. No cheese, sour cream, black beans, lettuce, rice etc that you would normally find in a vegetarian burrito. The $10 vegetable tamale was 95% masa and 5% cauliflower, broccoli and lima beans. When I complained the manager told me Mexicans are carnivores and dont make vegetarian food, that the tamales are "outsourced" because they dont make tamales but said he would not charge us for our 80% uneaten food then without telling us charged us $5 for the rice and beans that we also didnt eat because the beans had a purple tint also probably from a can like everything served at this establishment. When I said im not paying $10 for the 1/4 cup of rice we ate he told us to "kick rocks" and hes only gotten one complaint about theyre burritos in the last 6 months.

Im sorry im probably the only negative review but..ill tell it like it is!! I went in there today for my lunch. I am a regular customer, this is the first for me. I walked in and the *^*%&%&*^() hostess was busy chit chatting away with another customer, she did not acknowledge my presence or even bother to make eye contact with me. Nor did anyone else that works there! I stood there for 5 MINUTES before i actually got helped..this is unacceptable. There were plenty of people that were available and not one of them BOTHERED to help me!!! It wasnt even busy. I dont understand why it took so long. I will never come back here again. !!!!

Service was excellent, food was good and plentiful but not stellar. As a recently displaced Texan I am, I guess, still expecting a more Tex-Mex taste so maybe for the locals this is more to their expectations. It certainly appears to be a popular place; there was a surprising late afternoon crowd. Also seemed a little pricey but the portions were generous.

Cheap ingredients make bad food. The only redeeming thing about this restaurant is its location. It actually smells bad as you walk up to this place, which should be fair warning that whats inside will not be very good. Taco Bell is better and I hate Taco Bells uber-processed muck.

The worst excuse for mexican food I have ever eaten, aside from Taco Bell that is. Twice I was forced to eat here with friends and couldnt understand how they possible stay in business. Salsa with celery, really? Clearly the guerro regulars have no idea what real Mexican food is.

I loved Casa Lupe... In Live Oak, But was disappointed when going to the one in Yuba City. I ordered the same dish in both restaurants but the shrimp diabla I ordered in Yuba was more of a tomato soup than a thicker more favorable version that they had in Live Oak.

I ordered a shrimp cocktail and was given a huge goblet filled with large shrimp, diced cucumber, diced avocado and a tomato based sauce. This was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. They could be more generous with the tortillas though!

I love Casa Lupe. They used to be in Chico, Hamilton City, Williams, and I think Gridley but now they are only in Yuba City. My most favorite is Chile Verde Burritos and theyre salsa. There salsa is simple and fresh and I love it.

This place is junk. The salsa is bust. The food is less than mediocre. Just a very shabby place to eat. There are plenty other Mexican joints in Yuba City that triple in comparison to this place. I would not recommend.

The salsa was watery, the guacamole was bland and looked like it came out of a container. The amount of meat was less than average. Only thing they did well was the service. For the price, they can do a lot better.

The food isnt so bad; just dont let them seat you in the back north area of the restaurant. They need a privacy wall to seporate screaming party animals with kids whom dont know to behave in a restaurants.

If youre under age and enjoy drinking alcohol, Casa Lupe is the place to be. The boss allows minors to drink alcohol at the bar!!!!!! So illegal.
