Love this local spot! I live super close, so I dont have to worry about parking, but parking can be a bear. Dont park in a parking lot that says "No Local Peasant Parking" you will be towed! Food is delicious. A little trendy, so sometimes Im not "in the mood" for trendy food, I just want good food. As a local, I wouldnt go here for that. The drinks, beer, wine AND non-alcoholic selection is fantastic! So many varieties! Ambiance/atmosphere gets all stars, but dont go if its cold, as its an open-air bar, kinda outside bar. (But who cares?! Its RARELY cold in SoCal!) Hence the term, trendy. Great, great place for groups and you may even catch a celebrity sighting! There are some celebrities that live in the neighborhood. They also have brunch but I only went once so wouldnt be fair to rate it OK. Although, aside from the bloody mary bar (which I do not like nor drink), it was only OK. I was not impressed. My #localspot gets 5 stars though because I love it for just what it is!

The Local Peasant is one of those unique places where you feel at home right away. Its very open and airy which is great and the food is delicious. The Peasant Balls are particularly interesting and the Peasant burger is great too. Today I had the fried chicken sandwich and last week I have the chicken fingers. They have a large selection of beers, ruma and whiskeys. They even have sour beer regularly which is a personal favorite. On Sundays they have a Bloody Mary bar which has shrimp, bacon, olives pickles and other tasty morsels to add. Pretty much everything youd want in a Bloody Mary is there. Truly a great place to frequent. Were here at least once a week.

3.5. Located in an unmarked building with a blacked out sign that has barely legible Mexican Food on it. Prohibition era themed with exposed pipes and ducting. Bacon cheddar pretzel was damn good. The potato chips were OK. The breading on the fish and chips kept falling off and the fish was just OK. The grilled cheese was awesome as were the pancakes. The tomato bisque taste more like marinara. Mac and cheese was also very tasty. The cocktails is where this place shines. Wide selection of beers and wines with very good mixed drink and a do it yourself bloody Mary bar. I can see how this place would be a great night out with live music and these drinks.

Had a dinner date here last night. The vibe was great, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was...mostly really good. I got the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. No complaints there. I also ordered a side of Fries. These were undercooked (why cant fry cooks get the timing right?). I did like the sauce that it came with...a creamy aioli type sauce. Very nice. My only gripe with the experience was the $12 per glass of wine that my date ordered. I know that wine can be very expensive, but at a place like this, I would expect the MOST expensive glass to be $8 or $9. Still, Id recommend the place.

Pricey, to a point where it needs to be stated in reference to the entirety of the bar scene that surrounds it. For craft beer fans, the list on any given night runs from respectable to mind-blowing. Cocktails are good, food is quite good. Cant be overstated, theres a biergarten and thats amazing for this area. An essential stop on a Ventura Blvd bar crawl this far up the boulevard, and worth visiting if you are a local.

Its a pretty good gastropub, I got beer and a burger and was pretty happy. Its definitely in the $20+ per person for dinner realm, which is pretty reasonable for the area. The burger was predictably good, but the onion rings are nice, airy, and flake pleasurably in your mouth. Certainly the most memorable part of the meal, those big, buttery rings are probably the best Ive had

Yummmmmmmm! I came here with 2 other friends and we basically ordered most of the "first" tostadas, baked brie, and for "main" we got Salmon Belly Sandwich, Duck Confit, and Flat Iron Steak. We all shared and thought the food was all very tasty. But I remember we particularly liked the salmon belly more! So definitely give that and the tostadas a try!

In Woodland Hills/Calabasas? Cant beat this place... Rachel behind the bar is very nice, and the rest of the service staff is a group of Rockstars. Everyone knows the menu, the drinks, the specials (even sold out items before you ask). Compliments to the management...they keep their team informed. Food is also amazing. Compliments to the Chef.

This place is good, but not great. The atmosphere and decor is laid back and comfortable. The food choices are nice on paper, but they too often come clearly reheated and had been cooked hours ago. The service is friendly, but can be really slow. This place is great for drinks after work, but other than that, Id avoid it.

Horrible customer service. They told me not to wear camouflage print next time I visited. Guess what. I wear camo as an ode to my father who fought in the war for our freedom. If you deny camo then you deny our flag, our freedom, our rights,... dont spend a penny here. These people need a reality check.

I recently ate here while seeing some family in LA. My only complaint is that it was hard to find, Im fairly certain it was unmarked! But regardless, the food was excellent, the service was fine and the beer/wine selection was huge! Great spot to catch a drink and meet people! Highly recommend it.

A loud bar with a great view on the street from the out door patio. We had a company event and all had a great time. They have a list of gluten free options, but I was getting different opinions from the servers about what was safe so I only had the devilled eggs with bacon. They were very good.

They need more waitresses! Wasnt really busy... Then after 10 mins... I got up to get my own drink at the bar, there were 3 bartenders standing around, wouldnt acknowledge me. I finally spoke up. "Can I get a beer plzzzzz"? Then with attitude.... "what do you want"!!!

A little to fancy and pretentious for its own good. I really like the vibe of the Sherman oaks location because it seems pretty lax. I show up wearing a Dodger hat and they tell me to take it off because they do not allow hats. I mean its a bar calm down!

When ever Im in the area I love to eat at The Local Peasant. I live in the Denver ,Co. area and we have nothing this good. Wish they would put one in Denver. Have always found Chad and his staff to be the best.

The thing about this place is that although its nice to hang out, its a tad pretentious and expensive. The food is just ok no but the selection of beers on tap is awesome. Its not my favorite place in WH.
