Wow just showed up to this place and placed an order for pick up food. The owners didnt like my previous yelp review about how horrible the food has gotten. The owner straight blew up on us in front of all the other customers just because they dont like the honest reviews of their food. How is the owner going to tell me not to post my honest review. Talk about disrespect. At some point they have to realize their food sucks. These guys are out of their damn mind. Welcome to America land of the free where people can post their honest reviews. These guys stoop so low with no manners that they yell at you in front of other paying customer. Dont make the mistake of going to this unmannered restaurant. Go to Agra Tandoor if you want real authentic Indian food. Taste of India will just disappoint you and you have to deal with idiots that have no idea what customer service is. And these crooks ripped me off didnt even give me my correct money back. Bill was 48 and change and got only 40 and some back. Crooks.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Came for the weekend buffet lunch a few times already, and I plan to keep coming here. Am very glad to have found this place. Every time I come here, I plan on eating a lot, so I always come for the buffet. Each weekend theres always something a bit different about the buffet, so thank goodness I dont have to worry about getting bored. The last time I came for the buffet, the rice and bread was a bit hard, but thats probably because I came just when the buffet closed. If I came earlier, then Im sure the rice and bread wouldnt have been so hard. Next time I should try coming just when the buffet opens when the food is more fresh. Then I would probably give an "Excellent" rating.

We were the only couple there but the staff stayed all the way at the other end of the restaurant and never checked on us. I ran out of Diet Coke then ran out of water and they never came and checked. When I finally got their attention and asked for a refill, they told me the diet coke refill would be a charge for another drink. I said forget it. The guy then walked away and left my water empty. I asked to have the leftovers boxed, they brought me a styrofoam box and left me to fill it myself. I left a ZERO tip and told them why. I will not be going back. The food was OK but portions were small. Dinner for 2 was $50.00 and nothing special. Skip this place. I should have gone to In-N-Out.

Brought some people who never tried Indian food over to try the buffet for the first time.(my first time too) Usually Indian restaurants here dont cut it , perhapss to cater to Caucasian taste buds food aromas and spices are dampened/attenuated. But this was different , it was...authentic, not overtly flavored or less. Just how its supposed to be. Its still not spicy though, which is a hallmark of most Indian food, but it was all right. Like i said earlier, it had the authentic base taste at least. The chapati and naan bread were hard and toasty though, could have been better. Good decor and decent service. Overall one of the better Indian places in the Valley.

I called earlier at around 9:30 PM to place an order to go and told the guy that I will be there in about 15 minutes. The guy over the phone from the restaurant was furious and wasnt polite. I guess he doesnt understand the true meaning of a customer. I hung up and then 12 minutes later called Anarbagh which is about a mile from Taste of India and they gladly took my order. It took me 15 minutes to reach as I had to drive about 13 miles and picked up the order. I used to go to Taste of India a lot however the courtesy exhibited by the person tonight has put a stop to it. I will rather drive another mile to Anarbagh than eat at Taste of India.

Below average ! This USED to be a good Indian food. I havent had it for a while and decided to have it for dinner. I had the Tikka masala combo dinner- it was below average, such a rip off! The yoghurt salad was all yogurt no salad, chicken was overcooked and dry, lentil was horrible, samosas were super dry! Oh hey ...at least the naan was decent and got lots of it at least since that was pretty much all I ate ! Ive worked for an Indian wedding planner for years and have come to learn what good Indian food is - and thats in Irvine. If you want good Indian food, thats where youll find it. Im never ordering food here again. /:(

Starting with the Service, it was great. I went in for take out, grabbed a glass of pinot while I waited, the wait was only 10 minutes. I got my food, got home and cannot express how amazing it was. I have not had the opportunity to explore Indian food very much, but if it is all like this, I cant wait. I got the fried chickpeas in a tomato basil sauce and garlic naan. VERY VERY GOOD!

My wife and I stumbled on this restaurant our last night in the L.A. area--I cant believe that we didnt know that this was here all along! My expectations for a "store front" restaurant arent very high, but this was amazing. Its quite nice on the inside, immaculately clean, and the food was terrific and well-priced. Its a shame that we didnt know about this place sooner.

Look, this place isnt fancy. Its the snack bar of a bowling alley, it doesnt have white tables cloths, waiters, or . You know what it does have? Tasty, tasty food. And tots.So go to the snack bar, order some food (I recommend the Donny) go next door, get yourself a beer for less than $4, and eat some delicious food.I guess you could bowl too.I just ordered a White.

Totally waste of money. Dont go there prices is high and taste and variety is low. No worth. V went for buffet its $12.99. And in the starter there is only samosa, in desert there is only kheer(no other option) and in salad no onions no chili no papad and very congested buffet tables, no spoon on tables.

I love Indian food and this place is very good. Ive come back several times so that tells you something. Saag paneer is great. Chicken curry is outstanding even if you think you don like curry, Indian curry is way different than Momma made (unless your momma was Indian). Definitely worth going.

Simply the best chicken mahkni you can get anywhere. Do yourself a favor and order it for yourself and all your friends immediately. Also, to echo other comments, the staff is wonderful. Take out is always perfectly prepared. They are respectful, considerate, prompt, and gracious always.
