This restaurant has delicious and flavorful Indian food for reasonable LA prices. Some favorites are the daal makhani, murgh makhani and saag paneer and mirch paneer naan. I came with my family to celebrate my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and the staff was more than accommodating. The owners offered us complimentary champagne and their hospitality was outstanding and friendly. The ambiance is nice too with modern decor and nice paintings. One down side is that it is beer and wine only - it would be nice to see some fancy cocktails on their menu but I understand they are a fairly newer restaurant (opened last fall). Valet parking is available for $5 or there is plenty of street parking on Beverly Blvd or surrounding streets.

All too often, Indian restaurants focus the majority of their attention on the authenticity of the decorum at the expense of the cuisine itself. For example, masala should practically overwhelm your tastebuds; anything less is frankly subpar. Cardamom is one of the few establishments in the USA that combines the traditional look and feel of an Indian restaurant with the authentic flavor of its cuisine. Extremely happy with the curry, particularly the lobster dishes. My only gripes: I should not have to remove the tails from my prawns before eating them, nor should my naan be thin as a tortilla.

I went there around 10:30 on Tuesday. They told they are closed but can do a togo order for me. I ordered a lamb biryani and took it home. As a food lover, I have tasted more than 30 kinds of biryani . But this biryani is the worst biryani I have eaten so far. It was cooked like tomato pulav , absolutely bland and lacking basic taste. I couldnt eat the second bite and had to throw everything . They are pretty costly too. Not at all a good experience. Please avoid.

I arrived at the restaurant late on a Monday night, and the staff and manager were very accommodating and cordial, even at the end of their shifts, while I waited for the rest of my party arrived. I was quite impressed with the food, especially their garlic naan, but also the spice and heat in the Chicken Vindaloo, which both came out perfectly prepared. Definitely one of my favorite Indian restaurants in LA.

One of the better total dinning experiences Ive had in a while! (I worked in restaurants for 7 years) Food is stellar, very flavorful and not over presented. I had Gosht Biryani, my wife Daal Makhani, just perfect! The wait staff was clearly 5star trained and added to the relaxing under control vibe. For a nice, not over pricey, not over pompous experience support this great new restaurant!

One of my favorite Indian restaurants. Their food is just spicy enough to where you can actually taste the delicious flavors. Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in LA. Also- to the owner, 2 of the 3 star reviews on here are from fake profiles. If you do a reverse image search on their profiles, its clear that theyre fake. Looks like you have a competitor thats leaving fake reviews... :(

Been here twice now which means it is not a bad place. I like the decor and the customer service, they have some interesting dishes on the menu that taste alright. Its not amazing but not bad either. The appetizer plate is not that great, the paneer tasted chewy and had no flavor, samosas were ok and the pakoras were too oily/not crisp. The food- chicken tikka masala, dal makhani were good.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Ordered 3 appetizers, two mains and wine. Service was perfectly attentive, yet not over bearing. Food was modern, arrived hot and flavorful. Murg Makhani (butter chicken) was especially delicious, in a unique style. Definitely making this my staple Indian restaurant, after searching for a great place for a while.

Pretty good place for authentic Indian fare. True Indian spice level. A 10 elsewhere corresponds to a 7-8 here. We ordered stuffed Shimla Mirch, Haryali Murgh, Madras Machli Curry, ice cream, gulab jamun, and chai. All of them were well presented and delicious. A bit on the expensive side but well worth the price.

Service here is fast and polite. Unfortunately, the food is incredibly bland for what is purported to be spiced Indian cuisine. Im normally keen to avoid salt but there wasnt enough seasoning in any of the appetiser or entrée dishes we ordered. Mango lassi was okay but otherwise a disappointing dinner.

Such good and authentic Indian food! Lovely staff. Whether dining in or delivery, I have had great experiences eating here. Murgh Makhani (butter chicken) is hands-down my favorite thing here! Their rice is so fragrant and delicious and their popadoms are incredible.

Ordered the dum gosht biryani. Got sweet rice, raisins, and two small pieces of lamb. $20. There are other restaurants in LA that are an order of magnitude better with biryani.

Amazing! Definitely a step up on the scale of Indian food. Best saag paneer Ive ever had. The flavors of all of the spices were really present and really popped! Loved it.

PROBABLY the best samosas Ive had. Rhey use a flaky crust like a wonton. Theyre dipping sauce os so good. Nice atmosphere and wine selection.
