So my fiancé had reservations for his 1st birthday in Los Angeles . Approaching the restaurant and hostess was great . We sat at our table and our waiter comes to take a drink order - after ordering Bottled sparkling and flat water we looked at the bottle menu - which we over heard the waiter at an adjacent table say their was a 1/2 off on select bottles . So I inquired from OUR waiter - he said yes- any bottle that isnt the chefs choice - we continued looking at options after finding out the new news : We choose a bottle - order it - the Sommelier (I assume brings the bottle ) and realized our server didnt bring us wine glasses - ha! He got them for us - AS WELL AS bottle coasters for our table - because our bottles of sparkling & flat water were sweating on our wood dinner table by then (ugh!) As we look at the food menu after ordering appetizers that our waiter DID NOT check on - we over heard the obviously fabulous server next to our table spilling his guests on soup and specials of the day etc . ( as a server should ) but by then we felt like we had a fine dining restaurant and a applebees server . Our server comes over and asked - ARE YOU READY TO ORDER YET ? My fiancé asked - is their a soup of the day or entree specialty this evening ? (In hopes the server got the point ) The server goes - oh yeah We have a squash and some soup he rattled off By then were ALREADY over it - were realizing for whatever reason that hes continuously checking on tables that arent us (Not sure why) Im upset because we were new to the area and its his birthday . By then I asked a busser (I assume ) was our server new ? In hopes that the answer would be yes - but that WASNT the case. As we asked the server came by and took our wine cork - (the sommelier asked if we wanted to keep it ) And we said yes because we scrap book our memories ( newly engaged) By then NOW my fiancé is upset That was the ONLY TIME throughout our entire entree the server came to our table - We asked for a manager An African American gentleman came over - who seemed fairly nice apologized as we reminded him that the food was amazing and experience was the opposite (he literally said uhmm - as if problem solving wasnt a part of his training ) We then let him know "Please we do not want anything Money is no object " We simply wanted to bring this to someones attention (which I really dont believe he was a manager - we saw him seat someone earlier in the evening ) But whatever He brought us 2 small dessert wines and a dessert menu Nice gesture but we didnt want dessert - As we get the bill someone brought sparklers and a dessert out My fiancée (in his mind I assume ) thought it was coming to him- after all it WAS his birthday dinner But of course they went to the table adjacent to us that made the cherry on top spin just a little . Wow - slap in the face is pretty much what it felt like . Anyhow - we are lovers of all people We still tipped the busser and sommelier that were very pleasant . But for the server - please send him back wherever you found him . Over all Great ambiance On time seating Awesome food - except the smoke beef app Horrendous service and problem solving Happy birthday to my fiancé and sorry ☹️

We went to Boa for our 6 year anniversary and were not disappointed. We sat out on the patio near the fireplace. It was breath taking. Our service was beyond excellent and the food so delicious. I had the Clean drink to start and it lives up to its name. The subtle taste of cucumber and mint made this drink very refreshing. Next was our appetizer of Blue Crab Cocktail. The crab was plentiful and ever so sweet just as crab should taste like. The Cajon type sauce that came with the cocktail complimented the crab very well. For our meal I had the Ahi Tuna, rare, with a black pepper rub and a lemon sauce on the side. It melted in my mouth. My Husband had the Kolb and I think I caught him licking his plate at one point. We also got the garlic mash potatoes and I think I caught myself licking the plate of those lol. We never made it to dessert because we ate too much. The whole experience was perfect.

We arrived in Beverly Hills from Montreal. Everyone knows how good the food is in our city. We were recommended by the concierge BOA as one of the better steakhouses in town. What a disappointing experience. Its started with us arriving on time 8:15 for dinner. The blondy at the entrance really needs to get a new job. Half the restaurant was available but still waited for 20 Minutes once given a table outside in the cold we requested to be seated inside and had to wait 20 more to be told no tables inside and given a table next to the previous one. Siriously!!! Is someone even listening to what the customer requested. We ordered the Cesar salad and it was way to salty than my steak arrived raw not medium sa requested chowy and way to salty again. Whats with the salt!!!! Bottom line great look but dont expect anything great from the food.

A friend suggested that I visit this restaurant once I have the time. Since it was a weekend and was out with my boyfriend, we decided to check the restaurant for ourselves. Upon entering the place, warm smiles and loud greetings of good evening welcomed us. We were then seated at a table that overlooked a very nice view. The food that we ordered arrived in about ten minutes, and we were more than happy to get started with our meal. Upon putting the spoon inside my mouth, it definitely felt like love at first bite. The meat that came with my order was very tender and juicy, and I didnt even have to put effort into cutting it off with my knife. It was very soft and plump. Their staff was also very courteous. When we were done with our meal, we decided to give a big tip since we were very satisfied with our dining experience.

while we rarely get those opportunities to eat out and enjoy the fruits of our labor because we are working so hard and trying to get ahead we did take the time this past week and glad we did because the food was EXCELLENT! the lamb was the best weve ever had and the chimmichurri (sp?) tasted like it was straight from Argentina. Baklava goat cheese, yummy but maybe for dessert as it was really too sweet for an app. The Wedge had the perfect amount of bleu cheese and the roll was served hot like straight from the oven with creamy butter. My filet was cooked to perfection with salt topping- which I love. The only thing I might add is I felt a bit rushed and at $200 no one should feel like they are on a time limit. I do understand they want to serve everyone and appreciate the mentality- just dont like feeling rushed.

The Reservation we have made through opentable was confirmed by email. Then the reservation was "acted" to be honored after presenting my business card to the reception. The Fresh Orange Juice after especially asking the waiter twice if he would be shure if its fresh is not fresh at all and tastes unsatisfying. The steak was okay. Arbys Style Filet. Service not good. Big with once in a lifetime steakhouse crowd, a birthday candle at each table every few minutes. Suprise: Coming back home the venue faked a no show open table reservation to get rid of their dues towards open table and the collection points very obviously. Great marketing, not great experience. Any ruth chris so much better in food quality. not to come back.
