I give it a 3 star rating because the food was pretty good overall. We had the beef carpaccio and chicken caper piccata. The drink I had was a Pumptini and the LVP Pink Fizz, both delicious! But the reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because of the service. When we first walked in no one greeted us and we stood there for a few minutes, even though we had a reservation. The hostess and other waiters were right in front of us but no one looked up from what they were doing to say, welcome well be right with you. Also our reservation was at 5:30 so it was early and the restaurant was not full. When we were taken in by the hostess she was not friendly at all, almost seemed annoyed to be there. When we were seated I was surprised they put us close to the entrance at a very small two seater table that you could reach out and touch your neighbor on both sides. Which was the only area that looked full, and the rest of the comfy tables and other areas in the restaurant were completely open. The decor was gorgeous but the tables were so close to the trees that my husbands chair was actually on it because he had no space to move. The part that made me very uncomfortable was our waiter. The entire dinner he kept touching me. As he came up to the table, put his hand on my back, touching my arm. Almost every time he would arrive or leave the table he would touch my back or arm, it was really inappropriate. Overall whole experience was underwhelming and I have no desire to return.

i had no idea PUMP was located where it was, As a SECRET fan girl of the show, i was more than excited to finally make a stop at the location. Walking in you are def. surrounded with amazing decor, as it seemed from the show Mrs, Vanderpump herself is quite the decorator. I give the decor a full 5 star - A garden of Eden with a bar in the middle, def. a lot smaller in space than what ive seen on television! We sat as a group near the fireplace and it was turn way to high where i almost felt like it could of been hazardous, when we flagged down a bartender to turn it down he said " its either up like this or nothing at all" and walked away!??! I felt that was rude, I didnt even get to say just turn it off please, I would like to keep my eyebrows! When ordering our drinks another bartender tending to us was almost robotic, not very pleasant in taking our orders and overall a bore- i was hoping for some warmth but here is your drinks and byeee...Not that i want sass but a bit of smile really goes a long way! What made up for our whole experience here was prob the manager Arthur he was very nice and bought our whole group a shot, a delicious shot at that! Should of ordered that instead of the Pump & Glory! Overall, our experience was balanced out...

The food, drinks and surroundings were well worth the visit, though we were quite shocked by the lack of professionalism when it came to the service. Our waitress was pleasant but inauthentic and distracted; our later bartender asked our drink order 5 times like he was also occupied with more important guests. Just when we could have been fooled into thinking it was the classy establishment it presents as, the theatre of the entire experience came crashing down in one moment: the bussie who cleared our table (in front of our server) placed my plate in front of my partner and then proceeded to stack everything from our table onto it, piled and piled, right there on the tabletop. Every table touch felt clumsy and inexperienced; anyone who works in hospitality knows how to turn it up for their guests, and unfortunately this felt like a 24-hr diner warmed up - or dimmed down, given that you cant see a thing on your plate with all that "ambiance". If you wish to present as polished as your decor then invest in some serious service training!

Decor and design has to be one of the best looking restaurants. Lisa has great taste and eye for design. Staff are very good looking. Models and actors looking for aditional income. I hate giving negative reviews however have to be honest. There was ONLY one female on the staff team that greated us on the Sunday night. I didnt get her name however she was very cold and unwelcoming- considering I had booked from Australia and a massive fan of the show I was really looking forward to the experience. I have to say the experience was disappointing. Food wasnt good in fact bland. Chicken tasted like it been cooked at some cheap petrol station cafe. I Guess its just about the looks. I have booked SUR for Tuesday night but now wondering if it will be much the same.

This place is Outstanding! The food was fantastic! The atmosphere! The Staff.Salads, soups, steaks all great. I havent had a chance to eat here for dinner but my experience for happy hour far exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is very cozy and quite unique with all the having lights and hovering trees. **** The restaurant was able to expand from the tiny size of the former businesses by utilizing, what was the parking lot, for outdoor dining. The distressed decor and foliage creates the impression that the restaurant has been here for decade. I loved the drinks and the decor of this place. I had a bad experience with a bartender, who charged me for 4 drinks, for two people I wasnt even with, had just been socializing with. I asked him to split up the drinks, but he overcharged me. The people I was with gave him cash and a tip to make up for my overcharge, to which he made a scene about his tip not being big enough. I have never met a bartender who verbally harassed someone over their tip, let alone FOLLOWED ME throughout the restaurant to be sure I wasnt served again by someone else. It was his mistake, he was rude and ridiculous. This will make me think twice before I go back.

After visiting Sur I made two consecutive visits to Pump. Seeing what Lisa envisioned brought to life is wonderful. The first night I was highly impressed with the environment. That won me over instantly. I have never been at a restaurant that was so inviting and comfortable. I did not have food seeing my visits were mainly for drinking but the drinks were great and on both occasions our waiter was very nice, physically and personality wise. The biggest bonus was having the opportunity to sit and talk with Lisa herself! A brief chat with Ken at the bar the second visit was another bit of what we Cajuns call lagniappe!

super sexy and chic, everyone is beautiful if that makes any sense at all. The restaurant is just gorgeous, so many beautiful details. I love the chandeliers that hang from just about everywhere. Our waiter, Jesse M, was awesome. We didnt really know what to order so he took it upon himself to help us and order things for us. He did a fantastic job and our whole experience was so fun and the food was delicious. I know this place is super trendy and I hate to be the one to follow that however this place is so beautiful and the food is good to. I would definitely go back when I return to LA
