This is just too hard to write… I love Sushi and eat it frequently, and I also seek it out wherever I travel. I was hungry but tired from travel, so I asked Google where there was Sushi near my location and looked at the reviews. I picked HJS because it would be quick and sounded like I would still get great stuff. I got a Spicy Tuna Roll, Tigers Tail Roll, Miso Soup, and Gyoza. Everything but the Gyoza was foul: the Spicy Tuna tasted of bad Hamburger Helper taco seasoning, the Tiger’s Tail had an odd chemical/soap flavor, and the Miso Soup smelled like wet dog and tasted like over concentrated bouillon. I ate the Gyoza, threw the rest out, and then had a frozen pasta dinner from the Hotel pantry.

This place is the best,forget Masarus and their crappy chicken teriyaki. Tokyo Teriyaki has everything you could ever want, sushi, rice bowl, yakisoba, the best gyoza ever, salad with a great ginger carrot dressing, and all the other staples of a great teriyaki place. The service and atmosphere are great, youd be hard pressed to find anything that comes close to this place for twice the money!

My boys and I went for the first time and will definitely return soon! The hostess was very helpful and suggested to my 9 year old the Angel roll and he scarfed it down like crazy! I had the Caterpillar roll and enjoyed it is well... would only recommend adding eggs on top for texture enhancement. We had a wonderful experience at the Visalia COS location :-)

There are many great reasons to eat at Healthy Japan: 1. Great tasting food such as the calamari, salmon bento, lion and tigers tail sushi 2. Staff are knowledgeable and nice 3. Very clean 4. Reasonable prices 5. Many selections I guarantee you will love it!!!

We like sushi and living in the central valley it is hard to get. We have been eating at HJS for a while now and have never had a bad experience, actually Im picking up dinner from there tonight. I would recommended this place to anyone in Visalia.

Sushi, bowls, bento boxes etc. Usually pretty quick depending on the time of day. They have a good variety of rolls... All that Ive tried are delicious. Tight seating but adequate. I usually get food to go.

Their sushi is really good but they dont have any menus explaining what is in the different types of sushi so if you dont know you habe to ask.

I like to sit at sushi bars so this place isnt for me. Okay if you like fast sushi that is plain and simple. It was cheap.
