I would like to say Ken of Japan is the best Japanese teppan restaurant in Simi Valley. I love their fried rice and I have to eat that at least once a week. Cant live without it! I recently went to a new teppan restaurant in Simi, the food wasnt good enough as Ken. The price was a little cheaper than Ken but food quality wasnt good. Atmosphere at M* was much nicer than Ken but their service was horrible. I asked for a refill on my drink three times but they never brough my drink back. M* needs to work on servers training work. I hope Ken changes their interior design though. Oh well! Their food is great and delicious. They have A+ chefs and excellent trained waitresses. They are very quick and friendly. You never have to worry about getting thirsty while you are having a meal. Their waitresses are super fast. Ken of Japan is the one of my favorite restaurants in Simi.

Pregnant fiancee and I sat for 50 min watching other teppan tables being seated around us and order. With few enough people that they would of fit at our table as well. No one came and asked us if anyone else was coming or if we would like drinks or anything. Only when we were seated did we see the waitress. Then when I complained the other waitresses defended the one we had and argued back.... Asked foe manager who only replied with it wont happen again? OK what about the hour we just spent with my pregnant fiancee and I hungry and thirsty? Loved this place but now we are never going back. Inexcusable lack of service or consideration.

Good lunch specials, this place needs to take the pictures down of who knows who they are, but they are everywhere when you step in..the salad was very fresh, the rice was good, and the chicken teriyaki was good, the spicy tuna rolls were very good, I would go back, kinda empty so we had decent service. I would go back to try different items on the menu.

Great for small groups of 2 or 3. Teppan is nice and chefs are very interactive especially with kids. Good for sushi newbies, easy to be helped by asking about what you like. Waiting for teppan table is VERY long time during peak meal times, not worth it.

The staff is always so nice. The food is great, you must get the fried rice! Teppan chefs are the best, always interact with the kids. California rolls are sooo good too! The inside is a little older and cpuld be updated but overall good experience.

I am a sushi lover and they have the best sushi in town. Every time I eat at Ken of Japan receive excellent service. The only time I ordered to go I didnt recieve soy sause which got me very angry and i was angry because i had ordered alot of susi

Interesting underground restaurant. Rolls and sashimi were fresh, however I felt really cramped. I may go again if I had a small group if 2, but couldnt eat comfortably with a group of 3 nearby the stairs and piano.

Eat here a lot, just for fun and some family occasions. Excellent food, good show, and decent service. Service can be hit or miss at times though. I adore the Teppan Fried Rice, and usually get 2 orders, lol.
