Ive been to Kabuki twice, once in Culver City and the other one here in Woodland Hills. Their food is just okay. Its not bad sushi like Todai, yet not on the same freshness level as that of places like Yotsuya or Hirosuke nearby. I guess I can say that the quality level is a few notches above a typical all-you-can eat sushi place. When I came here, I remember having the sushi (yellowtail, tuna, scallops, albacore, salmon, eel, white fish, etc), some of the rolls (BSC if I remember correctly) and the tempura green tea ice cream. The quality of the fish is fair, but not outstanding, although the tempura ice cream was pretty lame due to the poor texture of the outside tempura skin, which happened on both of my trips to Kabuki. In conclusion, I dont recommend this place unless youre looking for moderately priced sushi in the neighborhood. Its not bad enough to avoid, yet I wouldnt tell you to drive out of your way to eat here. The service at Kabuki is fairly good and the atmosphere pretty nice

I came to this place cuz I was craving good sushi only to be very disappointed. First off the waitress did not give us much attention and poor service while other waiters around us were great with there customers our waitress almost ignored us.We waited a long time to order drink the waitress came back and didnt even ask if we wanted appetizers.. Finally we got to order appetizers and meal and when we got the food is was horrible and let me explain. The first plate the crab in the tempura Cali roll was old the wasabi looks like it been sitting at different tables all day ,it looked old as well. The plate I got the fish on top was rancid I took one bite and couldnt eat it anymore and the plate my boyfriend got the fish inside had bones. I ordered a different plate and it wasnt great as well and the spicy mayo tasted like they dropped jalapeños and the vinegar mixed with mayo not even taste normal this place was so bad I am sincerely disappointed and off sushi for a while and I love sushi..

You know how you are greeted with "Irrasshai!" when you enter a Japanese restaurant. This place has the attitude of the total opposite. We entered the door and were looking at the back of the waiter behind the greeting counter. Without looking at us, she departed. Another one came in just to enter something on the computer screen - her back to us all the time. After two minutes I was able to catch a waiter. He asked for my name and told us the table would be ready in five minutes. Fifteen minutes later, the pair ahead of use still waiting to be seated, we left. A whole section of the restaurant, with at least five tables for two, was empty all this time. I dont care what kind of food they serve, with this attitude and this service they are not going to see me again.

I gues this place is different for everyone but i got to say that i love their food. Really good sushis very fresh for great prices. Ive come here during lunch hour or for dinner and even their happy hour. They have really nice and friendly staff that give great service and the food is great. Whenever i go there it is with a bunch of people and we always order a lot of food but the price that we pay is not a lot at all.

It had a bad expansion ever. i have been in this place several times, and it was good not really but still, but now they bring me "Lotus roll" with the shrimps on a top instead the lobsters! Be careful! It was a very bad food i ever had, baby shrimps? really?... I told a manager, and he was trying to explain me what it was, like im a child and never saw in my life any lobsters! Be careful!

horrible, disgusting almost died Im thinkin this is a great place to eat well I thought wrong as I sit down the first thing I eat was my lobster roll and looks great. As Im eating it, the lobster wasnt fully cooked... eww! As I finish eating my last roll I nearly choked on something and it was an avocado seed which ruined my appetite.

Poor service, very hard to get your waitress attention, they never came to check on us after food was delivered, waited a very long time for the check AND had to stand out in the cold to wait for the "valet" with a bunch of cars blocking your way out and they charge $1.50 for that inconvinience. That is just plain dumb!

Acceptional service, great rolls, decent pricing. The only problem I had was not being able to return a roll once it was out. I realized after it came out that I meant something else and they said I couldnt return it, that really disappointed me. Other than that the Eel and Alaskan rolls were my favorite.

I went here with my husband the other night and enjoyed it. We ordered mostly off the sushi menu and we werent disappointed. I recommend the spicy tuna on crispy rice. This would be a 5 star review, but you have to pay for parking and I just dont like that.

Pros: reasonable prices, plenty of seating get and space. Cons: sashimi, sushi, and rolls are average, small portions, customer service is below average. There are so many sushi restaurants in the valley. I will not revisit this one again.

Food is great, slightly overpriced. The service was sub par. The waitress was seemingly swamped and running around, forgetting to tend to us timely. I prefer the Burbank location, although this locations is more spacious and calm.

Love coming to eat here with my family. The sushi is made right in front of you. The sushi here is amazing. The spicy tuna rolls are the best. I would recommend anyone coming to eat here.

This restaurants food is so good! They always have new food every time we come here, and we come here at least 3x a year. The waitress Pao was very kind, helpful and knew her stuff :)

Once this place used to be good and cheap, now its good but not cheap. Food is reliably good, lousy service though. Good luck getting your waiters attention.

Sushi is unbelievable....their happy hour has amazing prices. On a Saturday night it can be very crowded...but the wait goes by very quickly.

Some staff are amazing, some are bad. Overall the food is ok, but the sushi is amazing. Also help your kids learn how to use chopsticks.

Chain restaurant, and tastes like it too. If you want really good Japanese food find another place.

Nice decor. Reasonable prices. Timing of serving dishes for a party of 4 was a little scattered.
