I took a friend to this restaurant for his birthday dinner last night and I had the worse dining experience I think I have ever had. We arrived and both decided to order the special of 2 tacos, and 2 sides. It took 10-15 minutes for them to install paper to give me a receipt for my order, which I thought was strange, and unfortunately, I gave them a tip up-front, something I will NEVER do again, and I didn’t check the receipt because there were SO many people waiting because of the paper problem. It wasn’t to long before they brought us our 2 sides each, and 3 tacos. We ate our 2 sides each and waited an hour, but a server never returned to our table, and our tacos never came. So, I took my receipt back to the register, and some guy said he would talk to the manager. We waited another 20-minutes when PB finally came out, tossed the taco down in front of me and stated that "the price between what I was supposed to be charged, and what I was charged was close so we are even.” I was shocked! So my friend and I were forced to eat cold tacos that I paid about $6.00 more than I should have. When I left and approached PB and told him I was writing this letter, his response was to "make sure and state in the letter that the person at the register screwed up the order.” I reminded him that he was the manager and that he left us sitting there for over an hour, and to eat cold tacos, and that he was rude, and unprofessional regarding his staff! Go to Plancha, when they screwed up my order, I got an apology, and a comp.

Alright.. the food is excellent. But please. PLEASE get the orders right on take out orders. Nothing annoys me more than going home.. and youre missing three items in your order. And then, you have to come back and everything is cold and soggy by the time you eat it. I stopped eating at Maos cause they did that a couple of times. It is a pet peeve of mine. ... 6/20/2017 I wanted to change my experience, but I have been here four times, and three out of four times they got my order wrong. Lol! I ordered my boyfriend a fajita plate with carne asada, and they gave cubed chicken the last time (Not even the shredded chicken I was considering initially). At least this time, they credited my card back. I mean, excellent food. Just make sure you check your order before you dive in!

I work nearby and I have to say that Tocaya is my go-to for a delicious lunch. It is on the pricier side, but is to be expected in such a touristy area. The salads and bowls are great and you cant go wrong with the chef suggested protein and cheese. They have a kids menu with chicken tenders, but if you try to order without a child they will deny you because of their supply of chicken tenders. With that said, there are still plenty of options available and the staff are more than happy to help you figure out what youd like to eat. Cant recommend enough for people in the area.

This restaurant is brought to you by the same people who did Toca Madera. Its organic mexican deliciousness. We got the guac and plantain chips with pomegranate which was sooo good. I also ordered the Fajita del Rey Bowl with Tofu and vegan mozzarella. It was very good and filling. I should have gotten the Horchata. I will next time! We also got served water which had lemon wedges in it and fancy crushed ice. Loved the overall experience. I really appreciate that they serve meat here. MaryYourSoul(dot)com

Stumbled upon this place and its the best change of plans we ever couldve made. We ended up coming back here twice in the week we were in town, and it was our favorite place we went. The vegan and vegetarian options are out of this world, the happy hour is a steal, the prices are actually reasonable unlike everywhere else in LA, the location is amazing, the atmosphere is bright and gorgeous, we loved it if you cant tell. Enjoy taco Tuesday for me please!

Great spot for organic Mexican food. You’ll easily walk/drive past it and never notice. It’s a small storefront with plenty of interior seating, and the crowd is a bit mixed as it’s very close to Venice; hipsters, “artists”, and locals. They have very authentic Mexican flavors – similar to whole in the wall restaurants. I’ve had lunch here three times over the past two years, and the high quality has been consistent. Plus, they serve beer and wine.

Healty et sans prétention. Jai aimé les Tacos , le jus de watermelon et le guacamole accompagné de banana plant. La salade quinoa est bonne aussi, idem pour le mais. Jai par contre pas été fan du tout des burritos.

Super tasty and inventive dishes that are vegan but then meat eaters can add that later. The guacamole was even incredible with fried plaintain chips to use for dipping and the guac had pumpkin and pomegranate seeds. It was a chill oasis with nice modern clean decor in the otherwise tacky and grimy Venice Beach area. The bowls are very healthy and filling. We ate there 3 times in a short stay at the beach.

The food is really delicious, prices are kind of high but expected in Venice now. Got the kale and quinoa salad with mahi mahi and the fish was cooked to perfection. Not dry at all and well flavored. The dressing wasnt overpowering but still perfectly tossed. The service was decent. Outside patio area is great for people watching especially on a weekend day.

Tocaya has a great atmosphere! If you are vegetarian, this could well be the place for you. Lots of health conscious options - although I found it weird they used white sugar in their sweetened iced teas. My only gripe is the chicken portion in my burrito was very small. It was 90% rice, 5% beans and 5% cheese, salsa and chicken.

I got the combo so I could try a little variety. I had the everyday and the barrio styles, both were very delicious. I tried the tortilla soup and sweet corn tamale as my sides. I loved everything I ate. I was glad they offer vegan and vegetarian options. Highly recommend. Cheap too! Half price tacos on Tuesdays!

Good, innovative food. A good atmosphere in a great location. This shop has been several different restaurant concepts but I think this place finally got it right and filled a void in the neighborhood. Its simple affordable, no fuss food. I wanted several things on the menu.

Love this place and will definitely be returning. Customer service is above and beyond. They offer an all organic menu with vegan substitutions (vegan cheeses, tofu and soyrizo, my favorite). I ordered the quinoa black bean bowl and would recommend it 10/10!

Pro: el lugar es lindo. Contra: porciones muy chicas. Demasiado para lo q cuesta, diría q a la mitad de lleno.

Service isnt always the best (in fact rarely is) but the selection of creative/modern bowls, burritos and tacos is top shelf. Wicked good vegetarian options and have a taco-tuesday happy hour too. Definitely worth checking out.

Easily the best vegan mexican-inspired food in LA...including Gracias Madre! Try the fajita burrito with vegan chipotle jack queso and picadillo. Its amazing. The line moves fast so dont be scared off if its out the door.
