Ive been to Superba Food + Bread 3 times since it opened. My first visit was in 2014 not long after they opened and service was very disorganized back then worthy of 2 stars. My most recent visit Id say was 4 stars -- hostess for dinner was alert and sat me quickly although I had no reservation; server was attentive and knowledgeable; water glasses filled by bussers on request. The bakery offerings have changed considerably since the opening a few years ago. Famed pastry chef, Lincoln Carson was the founding pastry chef back then and since his departure, the selection of dessert pastries from the refrigerated case have been scaled back. Nevertheless, my recent visit at the end of May after 2 years was quite positive-- I really enjoyed the rotisserie chicken with green goddess dressing salad for dinner and the special seasonal dessert of strawberry shortcake consisting of a lavender scone and whipped chantilly vanilla cream -- delicious! Note: I sat in the patio and it gets rather chilly in the evening. FYI: They offer complimentary blankets. They have patio heaters, but they would not turn them on because my dinner was before 8:30p. They allow dogs on the patio and unfortunately for me, there was a small group 2 tables over that allowed their unbathed (smelly) dog to roam around my table and others while on a very long leash. This isnt reflected in my rating of the place, but were I to go back for a meal, I would request a seat away from dogs on the patio. (I like dogs, but I dont want to be near a stinky one during a meal).

I want to give a 3.5 regarding the dine-in food and experience because there are a lot of little things like too many waitstaff giving conflicting information or being served a sandwich that gushes sauces on a flat board so they run everywhere, which they have been evolving and working to make better, so i give them credit for that. That all said I LOOOOOVE their in house baked breads- as a bakery alone they are amazing, totally worth the price. I walk over some mornings just for the bread. All are very nice, great interior design and flower work, etc, making a very visually pleasing experience, though i wish theyd ditch the terrible pouring bottles for water which splash all over the place in favor of something more fluid and useable- i dont care how aesthetic it is while me and my pricey food are covered in water.

Superba Food & Bread offers superior food, well-curated and fairly affordable wines by both the bottle and glass, sedated, industrial atmosphere, and straight-forward service. Superba Food & Bread is a very good expression of a food trend that focuses on informality and a core selection of food and beverage choices. I personally appreciate how the pick-up-bakery-coffee-but-wait-heres-a-smoked-pork-shoulder locale captures high quality execution with higher-than-average complex dishes (seared scallops, aforementioned pork shoulder, crispy cauliflower were stand-outs) coupled with options that show case that someone knows that theyre doing with bread and desserts. A top choice for a local weeknight dinner spot, particularly on the early side when you have your kids in tow.

A++ Superba F&B hits on all points I look for... Atmosphere is clean, basic and friendly - Farm Chic. Patio seating was comfortable and quiet even though we were recessed just off Lincoln. Featured bike parking rounded out a fun experience. Firsts - Bread, toasts and firsts were easily shared and you could stop there and be fulfilled. We ordered entrees - Simple ingredients. Dishes came paired with a side which I appreciated. Dessert - Homemade Candy Bar. Layers upon layers of deliciousness. Also - Our server hovered a bit too much but she was friendly and was determined we had a good experience. Cant be upset with that. Id chalk it up to the newness (they were only open a couple weeks) and understanding your clientele.

My husband brought me here for brunch a few weekends ago and we enjoyed our meals. His salmon BLT was delicious as was my breakfast sandwich. I also had a brunch cocktail (cant remember the name of it), but it was delicious. I really like the atmosphere here. With indoor and outdoor seating and the cool breeze, I kind of felt like I was in a hip restaurant in the South of France somewhere. Superba is a solid brunch option.

I had no expectations. I wasnt even sure what time I should come... Is it lunch? Dinner? Breakfast? Snack? Who knows! The best description I can give it is it is a re-imagined modern day diner/coffee shop/"bakery". The food was pretty good, but not memorable. I like the space though: it is large, simply decorated, trendy. All that said, the bread prices are ludicrous, so dont go there for that.

Everything tasted as great as it looked. Eggs in Purgatory were great and flavorful. Bfast sammich was great, the potatoes are amazing and crispy and seasoned well. Homemade poptart was flaky and fresh. Coffee was great, strong and full like it should be. The breads were all on point. Wait Staff genuinely friendly and attentive. Looks like it gets pretty busy after 10 am.

Great customer service and menu. Wonder group environment. Environment is pretty chill and not to loud during the weekday. Evening date night and weekends are busy and packed. Parking can be difficult on weekend, so a block away and walk over or bike over as a local. Amazing and energetic staff will give a good reason to come back besides the drinks and food.

I frequent this spot and enjoy their lattes, avocado toasts, egg toast among other things. Once upon a time they served a housemade hazelnut milk latte that was foaming at the mouth good...but RIP, turns out making hazelnut milk is a HUGE pain, time sucker and really expensive. I would pay $15 for that latte if they brought it back!

Food is great. Everything I have had here always has a home cooked freshness. I love their braised Lamb for dinner. Their deserts are to die for. I have eaten breakfast lunch and dinner and always love the food and service. I also love the design of the place, never too loud with an extremely open airy yet homey feel.

I wanted to push 1 star, but the guy at the bar met me very friendly, thats why 2 stars. I took a seat at the table, but there was somebodys long black hair on it. I called a waitress and she saw I called her, but she didnt come to me and made a view later she didnt see me. Will have my lunch somewhere else.

I have been here 3 times over the course of 3 days and if I didnt leave LA I would be definitely back. They have absolutely excellent and well thought through food menu and coffee is to die for. Honestly! Best espressos I had while staying in LA. They delivered every single time I was here. I will be back!

Wow, the staff consists of hipsters. Bearded men. Do they sell food, or artisan firewood? Unclear how the system works... Do you pay at cashier 1 or 2? No wait, theres a waiter. Hum. Loud music. Strange vibe. Cappuccino arrives, which tastes like espresso with foam. Pricey. Nah. Bye.
