Best Italian deli around! I grew up in Chatsworth and our fam would come here all the time. One time my dad and I went to San Carlos to get some turkey sandwiches. I didnt like tomatoes despite my Mediterranean heritage so we ordered two turkey sandwiches with everything on it, but one without tomatoes. When Giovanni gave us our sandwiches he said, "Two turkey sandwiches...one with everything on it..." He handed that one to my dad. Then he looks at me and playfully yells, "...and one with NOTHING on it!" Mind you, our sandwiches were identical except mine was sans tomatoes. Well, I figured I should embrace my Mediterranean heritage and heed Giovannis overt suggestion. I now enjoy my turkey sandwiches with tomatoes on them. Also, I took my then girlfriend/now wife there for the first time. She doesnt like to try new things. She just wanted a simple sandwich. While we were waiting, Giovanni fires up some panzerottis. Wifey didnt want to try it, but didnt want to offend Giovanni. Needless to say, whenever we make the trek back to Chatsworth to visit my rents who still live there, we purchase at least a dozen panzerottis each time. I love this place and you should too!

The best! First off, THE FOOD: Awesomely good and plentiful. Their hot sandwiches are stuffed so full, you need a knife and fork to eat them, plus extra space on the plate. And, their hot dishes are so mouth-watering...Lasagna like your mother never made it. Secondly, SERVICE: The treat every customer so kindly. The first time I came, Pasquale offered me a free glass of wine (and that was a medium-sized coffee cupful!). Thereafter, they remembered me and what I like to eat every time I come. And suggest new things to try as well. Third, AMBIANCE: You feel like youre part of the family. And not just with the staff, but with the customers, too. Ive had some of the nicest conversations with fellow diners and takeout customers. A real community.

I cannot say enough good things about San Carlos deli. From the family run business to the high quality standards of ingredients, to the wonderful people who treat you like family this place has it all. Two friends and I came and got a half meatball half sausage, San carlos special, and pastrami sandwich. All which Ive had and all which are awesome. Ingredients topped high upon fresh bread, you wont be disappointed. They gave us free bread cheese appetizers as well. Their spumoni ice cream is great as well. Deli, sandwiches, icecream, everything you would want.

PHENOMENAL! I eat here with my mother and grandmother all the time and love it! So far we have tried the eggplant parmigiana, the San Carlo special, the hot pastrami, and the capoccolo with cheese sandwiches. Everything was delicious and the family working here are genuine and friendly. Even the people who eat here are nice and always strike up conversations with other people at the tables near them. This place also functions as a market where you can find Italian goodies such as spumoni, wine, and specialty pasta.

This place is expensive and the lady that works the register is not polite, I would say she is borderline rude. The hot meatball and hot sausage sandwices are flavorless and extremely messy to eat. The cold sandwiches however are very good, and their breads are pretty darn good too. Between the cold sandwiches and the limited and very expensive bakery make this place okay I felt disappointed with the hot sandwiches maybe I got both of them on a bad day.

This place is fantastic. I went here for the first time and it was a unique experience. The owners were there and were the nicest people. They even went so far as to share some of their homemade wine with myself and a few of the customers. What I really like is that they only have 10 sandwiches on their menu. What they serve is what theyre best at and the quality shows. Havent tried any of their pizzas or pasta but Im interested to try in the future

This is a Mom and Pops Italian restaurant/deli. Owners are very lovely people. You walk in and it is like you were invited over for dinner. The pizza was "perfect", dough was fresh, sauce was fantastic, lightly used and a tad bit sweet. Their breads are fresh and cookies are yummy. Thank you for a wonderful dinner for a reasonable price. I will probably make this my Friday nite takeout! Delizioso! :)

I was in here for the first time the other day and when I only had AMEX to pay (the dont take amex), the guy who I presume to be the owner, said I could come back and pay the next day. Being from a small town, I miss this sort of thing. It was an awesome feeling! Also the vibe and the food were great. The place was packed and the employees were super quick. I will be back for more!

I used to go to this place called Italia deli and I just didnt like the people that worked there and they werent that nice and good thing they werent because thats how I found San Carlos. There sandwhichs are great and I love there focaccia. I usually get a prosciutto sandwich or the San Carlos special and its never done me wrong.

Holy Cow! This place is AWESOME...Great customer service, food is amazing. Bread is fantastic. Try the stuffed pepper or any of the other things they have, they are all delicious! Great family feeling right when you walk in. Would have dinner here every night if I could.

The food is amazing!! I always get the San Carlo Special on a soft roll and the Pesto Pasta Salad. The service is great as well. Everyone says hi and will talk to you while you wait in line. Such a great atmosphere! If they had delivery, Id order every afternoon!!!
