So have you heard of this place called Five Guys? I have walked pass this location so many times and I was afraid to try it because I had a feeling I would be disappointment, but the hype cant be wrong. Can it? I heard its not as good as In-N-Out.. Thats not really saying much with only 5 items on the menu In-N-Out Fan Boys should try other places. I will probably get a lot of hate, but In-N-Out is good, but there are so many great burger joints you can try. If I wanted a small burger I can get a kids meal at McDonalds, because an In-N-Out Double-Double is a snack for when Im not hungry. Just saying.. :) Should you try Five Guys? The answer is no. Are you ready to take a chance on a 6 to 8 dollar burger only, without a meal? Save your money it was not worth it. I knew from the first bite that I was in the wrong place. I rather go to any burger fast food joint (not MCD) before I eat at Five Guys again. I try not to eat much Fast Food, but I rather roll the dice on a unsanitary-dropped on the floor burger at a chain fast food place then wait 20 minutes with nobody waiting for Five Guys! I didnt see Five Guys working there. Maybe they could have made my burger 5 times faster with more people. There was no one in the restaurant. Why did it take so long? Im still trying to figure it out. Burgers: Its not fair for Five Guys. Cali has the best burgers hands down! I havent tried Chicago or Texas so I will get back to you when I do, but CA can make a mean burger. I would never eat a burger on the east coast so why would we even consider Five Guys? You know you are in trouble when I restaurant has quotes from magazines about how good it is on the door and menu. I say trust the reviews! 3 Stars is fair. The burger is expensive, overly greasy, and not satisfying. The one good thing is the customization. You really can have it your way with the toppings. If only the meat and the bun tasted better, you would have a great burger. Burger Fan score: 1 Star. Average person that eats fast food everyday: 3 or 4 star. THE BEST PART! My favorite part was the fries, because they were hard to mess up and there were plenty of them. The Second best thing was the soda. Nothing fancy just a fountain soda with ice. Last place was the burger. I think I would have rated the condiments and peanuts over the burger if I had them. So sad, but I rather just eat fries with a side of fries next time. I didnt see any shakes maybe I missed it, but I did see someone drink a Shake from another restaurant. Wait Time: Ordering 0 minutes. No line. Waiting for food: Dine in 20 minutes. I was told I can order online next time and just pick up the burger right away. I took a To-Go Menu but after eating I was so disguised I just threw away the menu. Service: Friendly cashier, but the cook just talked and took his sweet ass time. Five Guys originated in VA and I know So Cal has a rep for being laid back, but what took so long to cook? Next time, I will ask if I can cook my own burger. Even if the patty was frozen I could still make 5 burgers in the time it takes to get one order here. I really wanted to give a higher score, but I just couldnt. I felt so angry, ripped off, and deceived after eating Five Guys. Im glad my buddy took me here so I could help out my Fans that are on the fence about trying Five Guys. Go to another burger place! The Habit, Stater 50/50, Smash Burger, or Fuddruckers will do! If you like five guys, knock yourself out, but there are better options.

Go to In-N-Out instead. Cons: Two burgers, one small fries and one drink = $20+ It took 21 minutes to get our food with no one else in front of us. Burger was overcooked, dry and lacked taste. Buns were squashed and unappetizing. Not good at all. Floor was dirty, tables not wiped. Pros: The fries were really excellent. Polite and chipper employees. Variety of burger toppings. This was my first and only visit to Five Guys. I will not return. Why bother when we have In-N-Out with better food at half the cost in half the time.

Bill July 24,2011 Im an In-N-Out kind of guy when I go out for Burgers. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Five Guys burger very good. But could not compare the French fries with In-N-Out theirs are much better. In-N-Out restaurants are much cleaner than Five Guys and In-N-Out is a better value. Room for both chains in So Calif......

They have big selection of drinks, even strange ones like coca-cola raspberry or coca-cola lime. Also they will explain you menu if you are first time there. You can also choose ingredients for your burgers. But their fries are not as good as they advertise it.

I dont know if they are better than IN-N-OUT but they are Good!!! I really liked there burgers, especially the fries. They do get busy so that shows they cant be that bad. I think it is a bit pricey, but I will eat here again. You need to give it a try!

Its true... it beats In-n-Out. They have a wide variety of toppings, and use really great quality ingredients. I particularly like their french fries, even though they are $5. It would be great however if they had some more vegetarian options.

Just like in-n-out, their fries are freshly cut on site. Be sure to order the chili fries, its killer Their burger is larger then in-n-out in my perspective, the meat is juicy, if you havent tried this burger, make it on your list.

I wish their burgers were as good as their customer service. My burger was really dry and besides lacking juice- it was literally a beef patty and bun. Had 3 of them- all were like that. Free peanuts though.
