Ordered a $24 plate - halibut. Mashed potatoes were served STONE cold, so I sent the plate back where they proceeded to NUKE/microwave my dinner, turning the fish into RUBBER! All while the owner sat at the bar falling asleep in his drink. The service was alright but food was terrible - cant believe I waited this long to go for a $90 meal that wasnt any better than a $20 meal at Jack In the Box. Pasta portions were tiny (cheapest food you can make), so my boyfriend ended up being hungry 1 hour late. Wish I had never gone since I know that they arent truly SF quality - and yes, my family has been in the restaurant industry for 50+ years so I am a tough critic. I wont waste my money again!!!

Our family loved our Christmas Dinner at M&J so much that we returned for an Easter get together. Waiter was excellent and most of the food was delicious. However, my husband ordered the Halibut. It was an extremely tiny piece of halibut. We know halibut is expensive and didnt mind the price you charged. Not happy when he saw and ate the halibut. Flavor was fine but way too small a serving for the price. Too bad, the rest of the food was so good. Spent almost $200 for 4 adults. One went home hungry and disappointed. We suggest you either remove halibut from the menu or serve a little larger portion.

Just ate there with my family and was extremely disappointed. The staff were not on top of things. We asked for bread that never came. Drink orders that we had to remind our waiter to get. The French onion soup was nothing special. I was extremely excited for the dessert crepes, but they didnt measure up either. Even more horrible, was the price of all of the food. Extremely expensive for low standard food. My group of five decided to go through fast food after we left the restaurant. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant unless they make serious changes.

Second time here with family, really great food and attentive waiters. The owner / chef is friendly and definitely cares about each dish bring served and the customers enjoyment of it. The Caeser salad is fantastic. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Large portions & quality food youd expect to get in SF. We are trying hard to come up with an excuse to visit Tracy again so we can come eat here!

The wait staff was friendly but,we were told there would be a half hour wait and the place was pretty empty. Wait Staff apologized and we chose to take our party of 8 elsewhere. This was my first time visiting this place and Im pretty sure our business was not welcomed there.I would not recommend this place to co-workers,Family or Friends.

I am from the San Francisco area and I would NOT say this is a taste of San Francisco. What it is, is a wannabe over priced strip mall eatery. The food was just ok and certainly not what youd expect after reading the menu. Save your money and eat at Mimis or the likes....cuz this place is not that special.

Excellent food, prepared quickly yet fresh and done right. Staff very personable. Christmas dinner was superb and quite surprising! Others equally as wonderful. Take a trip over before hittin up the "chains". Support the local independents! "Jason...keep up the good work!". Well be back for sure.

Jason will prepare Gluten free dishes and loves to get to know the customers preferences. Elijah offers the best service in Tracy... but remember it takes time to prepare these dishes so expect to enjoy a beverage before being served... this is *not* fast food.

Awesome!! These guys are crepe specialists, but make about the best French Onion soup I have ever had. The staff is professional, not just good or polite or nice, but professional. I am going to be in this place quite often, so Ill se you there!

When you want to be treated like royalty and enjoy some of the best food you will ever encounter, try M&J Bistro. Wonderful service, professional and friendly staff, fantastic food. Definitely worth trying. A little jewel in Tracy.
