Wedding and reception - May 7th. If you ever dreamed of having a wonderful celebration, Lucca is the place. During our engagement we went to Lucca several times for lunch. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the incredible staff. As a result, we decided to have our reception at Lucca. Working with Glenn Stewart was amazing,. I have never meet a restaurant manager that was so accommodating. You can trust him to be vested in your event. He had great suggestions for menus, and the best time to use the garden patio. The weather changed our wedding plans and Lucca was so flexible that we had the wedding there too. The garden was beautiful, they tables exquisite, lit the fireplace, and printed a special menu with our wedding information. Sky blue glasses, waterfalls. They allowed the coordinator to decorate with flowers and candles, etc. Amazing....Glenn was present to make things run smoothly. The general manager then stepped in. They treated us so wonderfully. The staff/chefs fantastic. Everyone worked as a team. Family and friends raved about the food!! and how beautiful the garden patio looked. Stop by Lucca for drinks and food and a family, community atmosphere, where you feel welcome and at home. Thank you for making our event the most wonderful time of all!! Kent and Mae

The best restaurant in Sacramento! This place is the total package, you can go all out and have a great 3 or 4 course meal paired with an amazing wine (best wine list I have found in Sacramento). Or you can keep it on the cheap and have an affordable meal for under $40 out the door for two. The happy hour deals are second to none, $5 half pound natural beef burger, need I say more. I go in often and the bartenders always have a new cocktail for me to taste and are constantly coming up with new liquors for me to try. Out of all that my favorite is still the Farmers Market special that they run on Sunday nights, Three courses for just $22 a person. It usually features a good cut of beef from thier own ranch and all other ingrediants are sourced from a local farmers market. They pitch it as "The Best Deal In Town" and I would be hard pressed to argue that fact. If you have not been to Lucca you are missing out.

My husband and I enjoyed a six year run with great service, good food and a dinner I could count on. My last experience was horrible. Looked like new management, was treated rudely. The meatballs were raw on the inside, when I asked to have them recooked, the waitress argued that all meatballs are pink. Never had a pink meatball there before. I always order the salmon dish, and this time the sauce was the wrong color! The calamari was over salted and very greasy. I never had these kinds of issues in six years. When I looked around and saw new faces, and the old ones were gone, I was disappointed. In addition to this, the management responded poorly. Last year, I would have recommended this place highly, This year, its a no-go.

I appreciate the friendly waitresses but was disappointed when our waitess didnt noticed that she brought us dirty menus then dirty water glasses. Then when we ordered from the happy hour menus after being given them we were told that we could not order from that menu because we were sitting on the other side of the half wall, apparently we were in the dining room and not in the bar which happened to be full while the dining side was empty. I should have walked away right then because my salad and side of shrimps was so disapointing. Shrimp were overcooked and salad tasted stale. I dont think I will be back.

Everything that is wrong with the Sacramento cuisine scene. Pride on farm to fork supply yet the food was completly blasé. Food had no taste, high in salt, and boring ambience. The mussels in drawn butter was good, but that was it. However the worst part of the experience was this troll of a man, fat, short, balding, who was overseeing the entire restaurant like he was a bouncer. Totally killed the vibe and atmosphere, what little it had. I cant believe this place is voted as a top 10 in Sacramento, says a lot about the food scene in this area. Will avoid like the plague, mostly due to the creepy fat dude!

Food was delicious! We went on NYE for dinner, and the people there seemed on the edge a little. Someone behind the bar at one point asked what I wanted to order for drinks. A couple minutes later, another woman asked what I wanted and I pointed at the guy that had already taken my order. She then stated, "that guy doesnt make drinks. " lol. That was a first. We later ordered and enjoyed dinner with our group of friends. Pleasant environment, good food and decent drinks. Id check it out again if friends wanted to go.

Good food in a nice but relaxed atmosphere. Went on a Friday and was able to get a table for two with no wait and no reservation. It was hard choosing what to get, since everything sounded good. Landed on the linguine with prawns. Portion size was good. Prawns were cooked just right, and the sauce was great. Tried the bread pudding with ice cream for dessert and it was amazing. Only drawback was it was pretty light on the ice cream, so I had to eat a lot of the pudding plain (still good that way though).

Restaurant and bar are very attractive, and the atmosphere is nice. The hosts greeted us very nicely and gave us a great table. But it was downhill from there. Our waitperson was slow and inattentive. Took us 20 minutes to get a drink. More time to get bread. We were starved by the time the food arrived. The salads were uninspired, and the dressings bland. Salmon was overcooked. Our waitperson never checked on us, and she never asked if we wanted a second drink. Lackluster food and poor waitstaff.

Really good food and also banquet service. Had two experiences with Luccas recently. The first was a special occasion . The service was excellent and the lamb, which is difficult dish to prepare, was amazing! The next occasion was a banquet for friends, which was held just recently. The set up was informative and easy to understand. The menu choices and service was again excellent! Great place to have a party with 24 of ones friends! Everyone enjoyed the setting, service and the food!

We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Luccas Restaurant. We booked the outside patio. Glenn, the manager; was fantastic to work with. He made sure the evening was memorable. The appetizers, food and staff were excellent. The waiters were courteous and attentive. There were 41 in our party and everyone mentioned what a terrific time they had and how great the food was from the Mahi-mahi to the NY steak. I strongly recommend Lucca for a casual meal but also for your large parties.

I was really impressed with this restaurant. We showed up a half hour before our dinner reservation and they got us seated within 15 minutes. The food was GREAT. I recommend the Chicken Piccata and the banana dessert.... Both were praise-worthy. The service was great, very attentive and pleasant. Loved the quaint atmosphere. And the price was right! Average about $20 a plate, $7 for a side salad, $8 for an appetizer... All for an upscale experience. Highly recommend it.
