This place really defines the saying "Hole in the wall", they are located at the far end of Tracys 11th St . We walked in at around evening time on a lazy sunday but there were enough people to not make us feel all alone and since its a tiny place the feeling of crowd creeps in pretty quickly, we got seated in about 10 min and immediately got served with their complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were mediocre but the salsa was plain amazing, it had a pretty nice fresh cilantro flavor n blended texture of other ingredients. We went ahead and ordered the chicken fajita with couple flour and couple corn tortillas, the order came out in about 15 min hot n sizzling to our table they even serve you with beans n rice on the side. The fajita was much better than what we have tasted at most of the Mexican food joints, the onions were perfectly caramelized, tomatoes were juicy, capsicum were crisp and chicken was roasted on the outside n juicy on the inside. Overall the fajita seasoning was near perfect, the tortillas were nothing special to write home about but overall as a combination they worked well. Our first visit was satisfactory and since the fajita was in itself enough for two people we didnt get to try other stuffs on the menu, will leave 1 star for the future and we will be back for sure.

The food tastes great but I cant bring myself to giving more than one star as my burrito was literally filled with long strands of dark hair. I recently died my hair blonde so I knew theres no way it could possibly be mine. It was the worst experience!! I had to pull a strand of hair out of my mouth and then started looking in my food and immediately found 2 more and I was done. If you do decide to go there, make sure you thoroughly check your food for hair or anything else. Its a small restaurant that I doubt has seen a health inspector in years. Not to be rude but I take the cleanliness of where my food is being prepared very seriously.

Great service and great food. We come from livermore just to eat here. The restaurant was recomended to us from a server at a local restaurant. "If you want the best soup go to Los Potros" was his comment. We have made several trips, and have only had their soup. Although the other items from the menu that we have seen being served looks delicious. The orders are huge too. You may have to wait at times because it does get busy, but it is well worth the wait.

Small but clean and good air conditioning. The service was very good and the food was excellent! Homemade tortillas and authentic tasting dishes! I loved the old time Mexican ranch motif inside and you can create your own combination plate! Plus, they serve breakfast all day! Dont judge this place by its location, the food will NOT disappoint!

Great Mexican food can always be found in little "hole in the wall" places like this. I work close by and always enjoy the food here. Call ahead and get it to go if needed or sit and enjoy your meal there. Serving staff very good. Only one problem - very small dining room with limited seating. Food is well worth the wait.

We have been in the area for five years and we found out about the place through an acquaintance. He said this was the best place for Mexican food and he was right. The Berrian is to die for. Daughter loved the chimichanga. Come here as often as possible.

All their food is great, especially their soups and breakfast menu. If you have never tried NOPALES which is cactus and egg, then you have to try their version. Excellent!!! My wife orders it everytime, I enjoy their Chorizo w/ potato and egg burrito.

I like coming to Los Potros because of the food and service. Everyone is friendly and polite, family orientated place. It is a small place, so when its busy it would probably be better for take out, or just get there before the rush.

Great food our group of four ate here twice while working near Tracy. Both times our group ended up staying past closing time. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all stellar. Servers were very accommodating and funny!
