We are locals and love the downtown Sunnyvale area. My family and I eat and shop there 1-2x a week. We came here once and it was a nice surprise so we decided to go here again and thats when it all went down hill. I ordered the ribeye steak at $26. I asked for the steak to be medium rare. What came to me looked like a cheap cut of skirt steak that was grey! So I decided to cut it down the middle, and no surprise it was well done. I NEVER send food back but I did and I really wanted to cancel the order but the waitress manager insisted that they already made a new one. The second piece was 35% fat and I cut it down the middle and it was medium well. I took ONE bite and pushed the plate aside I couldnt take another bite. My husband was so shocked with the service so as we left he came back inside to talk to the manager and told her how unhappy we were and the waitress "manager" said thats the way we make it and if you dont like it we dont care you are not getting your money back. My husband and I were appalled with what was happening I was like is she serious? I got one over cooked steak and took one bite and couldnt get a refund or even the courtesy to order a different entree? Seriously disappointed.

Avoid the wine list at ALL costs. We were presented with a white wine of more than 10 years old, and when we sent it back, we were given one over 25 years old! We were scolded by the manager when we sent that one back too, because, surprise surprise, it had turned to vinegar (not to mention the ice blocks floating in the wine). Food is ok, although a bit pricy for what its worth. Waitress was friendly, but the manager is a jerk. Seems there is a good reason why this was the only empty place on Murphy Ave. Definitely will not be coming back again.

imagine outside lunch on a summer day, we just kept coming back to enjoy the ambience and try more dishes: pide, lahmacun with baba ghannouj or hummus, muska boregi, eggplant salad, falafel and veggie wraps, salmon and kebabs. service usually good, waitress taught us not to stir the coffee grounds at bottom of a turkish coffee. we learn! even better if you find a groupon offer.

its a quiet restaurant in the front, but if you go to the back its a hidden lounge. the food is good and reasonably priced. the are located on the historic downtown street of murphy so if you get a chance to sit near a window, watch the newly renovated street fill with people in the evening. its pretty calm considering its sunnyvale, but its still nice to people watch.

There was once a time when I would have given this place 5 stars! But the quality of food and hookah has taken a serious hit. The Baba Ghanoush which I would once have died for, is now a plate of watery mush. The Hookah is not well made. Food is overpriced for its quality. The staff here is great though. Super friendly!

Delicious Turkish food. Went with a large group and sampled everything, its all good. Its not great for vegetarians, but assuming you eat meat this is definitely a place you should try. My friend from Turkey vouches for the authenticity ;) Things to try: beyti, or the sample plate (entrees), and kunefe (dessert)

Went there for a bunch, the was extremely poor. They served us stale old tomato and when we told them about it, they told us if we dont like it then we can go some other place. Apparently they dont like brown people. Never coming here. I would go somewhere they can appreciate my business.

Before the management and menu change, I would have given this place a solid four stars. Doner is no longer on the menu, they serve white bread instead of whatever the Mediterranean flat bread they used to serve and the food that they do have is sub-par for the price.

We went for lunch at Taverna Bistro. I very much liked the decor of the restaurant Service was also good. For lunch we enjoyed wine. I had chardonnay. They have wraps. I had their tasty Organic Lamb Top Sirloin Wrap. It came with fries and salad.

Quite a nice place this is. People are friendly, a good place to have Hookah and drinks. If you are looking for a hangout or need a break post office and if you are in Sunnyvale, this is the place.. PS: Do try Garlic French Fries.. :)

Sucks balls. Over priced. Small portions. No hot drinks with hooka. Slow service. Luke warm food. Small water glasses with refills few and far between. Outdoor patio is packed into a corner.

The waitress forgot to bring us napkins that we asked and brought tea of a wrong flavor, even though she was serving only two tables. The food was okay, but could be better.

I love this place. I highly recommend the lamb shank. Its fall off the bone tender. Rice is good but get the dish with extra veggies instead of the rice. It is to die for.

This is one of the few places in the valley where you can have a organic sustainable meet for a decent price. All meat cuts are incredibly tender and taste great!

This review is for the back-bar which has the hookah and bar. The food is reasonable, but this place is open late and has good alcohols too!

Servers dont care about the service in the hookah lounge. The owner/manager doesnt care either as hes too busy trying to hit on the servers.

Cheaters, dont go to this place, the waiters charge you 30% tips by default and lie about it to get you to pay extra..
