I have read reviews on this place and drive past it a few times a week. I finally drove to their parking lot because I was curious. Went around 10:30 am and wasnt super hungry, so I got a kids meal for about 5.50 ( I rounded the change up). It came with 2 housemade sauces, a side, 2 chicken stripes, and a drink. My order of sauces were yougurt ranch and buffalo and my side was the coleslaw made from kale ( I dont like kale, but loved this coleslaw) along with a lemonade. The chicken strips had a nice crispy coating with nice flavor. It wasnt overly salty like some places. The chicken was also moist and tender on the inside. I would definitely return for an adult sized sandwich. If the kids meal impressed, Im sure the big people food will as well. The young man that was at the counter that took my order was super informed and could answer most of my questions ( I threw in some curve balls). I was really impressed with his ability to answer all the questions and get the answers for the ones he could not. Great hiring as well, Starbird.

1000+ CALORIE WARNING! The CEO (Aaron Noveshen) has refused to disclose how many calories his food has. The only reason a food company will deny knowledge like this is because they dont want you to know how unhealthy their food is. The CEO has sent me what looks like two copy/paste messages to my complaints on Yelp almost a month ago and yet we dont see the calorie counts in the store I spoke to their staff in store and none of them knew the calorie count and all of them gave wild guesses ranging from "100" calories to a "...its a low 2000 calories but its good calories..." (whatever that means). Other people are complaining on Yelp and their voices are also falling on death ears. Top tip: if you work in an office, like 90% of people in Mountain View, then your body will not use any more than 200 calories in a working day and any excess you consume at lunch will stick go your butt to waist as fat cells. Bottom line: Star Chicken is making you fat.

Quite an enjoyable sandwich. It looks exactly like the pictures! I went there for my first time today. I went with their signature Starbird chicken sandwich and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. A nice, locally sourced piece of chicken. Not overly breaded, but not breadless! Very good slaw made with kale. Great roll as well. Also not too bready, and a good density, which is important for me when eating sandwiches! While there isnt much interaction with staff, the moments that did happen were pleasant, professional, and friendly Anyway, definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of their other creations. Check it out if you get the chance.

It was okay. The employees and service were really good. I have to say that I went in alone an just kind of ha a "people watching" lunch and I really like how happy all the employees seemed to be an how clean the place was. The chicken itself was really good and the in-house baked bread was awesome! Unfortunately, the sandwiches themselves just didnt do it for me? The cheese (pimento?) overpowered the whole sandwich, the whole menu just seemed kin of similar to other items on the menu? Go give it a try and decide for yourself. I wish these guys the best but it just needs a little "tweaking" to make it better.

This was so delicious! The chicken is fried to perfection and the sauces are delicious. We tried the California roll, Seoul mate, and chicken tenders. All delicious and would definitely get again. Its on my list to try as a breakfast spot next, the menu for that looks tasty. Also, cant forget, the dries were hot and perfect as well. A top chicken pick for me now!

Really quick and friendly place. I had the original Starbird sandwich and it was delicious. The raspberry tea wasnt overly sweetened which is always nice. The fries were seasoned almost like curly fries, and just the right amount of salt. The prices are comparable to similar places, but it was more filling and way more delicious.

This place basically serves fried chicken disguised as healthy food in the forms of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The Starbird sandwich (with slaw and avocado) was pretty good as well as the side of fries. This place is pretty small, but somehow they managed to put a lot of seating inside and outside without being claustrophobic.

A great lunch spot. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and the environment is bright and clean. The menu is kind of small but all the items are very tasty. I usually do not like fried chicken but the way they make it comes out less saturated and greasy the way that other fried chicken establishments do.

I went with my family and we all ordered different burgers. My personal favorite is the Free Range Ranch burger and Mango Ice Tea. The Bahn Mi burger is also great for people who like jalapenos. Loved the fact that their ice tea was not super sweet like others. Would love to visit again. Staff was good too!!

Had the banh mi, and my wife had the starbird sandwich. It was alright. nothing special compared to other places. For two sandwiches, two fries, one raspberry tea, and one cooker, it was $25. little pricy imo If I come back, Ill try the chicken tenders in a box as I wasnt impressed with the sandwiches.

Limited menu but they do it well. The concept is good...everything is fresh and the chicken is crispy. The employees are nice and helpful. But it is pricey to eat here and the sandwiches are kinda small. The parking is tight and gets really bad at peak lunch hours.

I havent decided if its better than chick fila but its still quite delicious and the inside/outside space feels trendier than your typical fast food joint. Tip: get chicken strips and waffle sticks and eat together for your own version of chicken and waffles!

Not sure why this place is crowded. Not good. Very small portions. Only alternative drinks. No Coke or Pepsi just cola etc. The food was okay but I think the draw is the organic ingredients. They come with an organic price. Probably wont go back.

Got the backyard BBQ with a side fries. Everything was very tasty and well cooked. Sandwich was crispy and juicy and the fries were some of the better I have had recently. If its like this on a regular basis then Id gladly upgrade to a 5 star.

Fantastic chicken sandwiches, tenders, salads and more in a modern quick service environment. This location is the first of this new restaurant concept. Dont forget to try the blood orange lemonade!

Good batter on the fried chicken. I got the BBQ one and luckily they had Crystal hot sauce. The parking lot was a bit tight. Homemade drumstick ice cream, cool, but no filling on the bottom.

They have breakfast here and its awesome. Maple bacon taco = the best. Waffle fries are decent (I like crispy waffles), and the coffee is strong. Would definitely do breakfast here again.
