I came to enjoy lunch here with my family and as soon as I sat down the service was disrespectful and very very unprofessional. Connie the server came and signed our ticket but my grandmother forgot to pay for two drinks. Connie came over very rude and said she will let it pass this one time. I offered to pay but because I believe I was African American she thought we were trying to steal some soda. Seriously!? After she signed the new ticket she slammed her pen down on the table. We asked why did she do that and she stated it was a form of expression and we stated that was rude and unprofessional and she came back and did it again hitting my hand. I didnt want to be in the stereotype category she put me in so I didnt want to cause a scene. This is Stockton California and understand we have ghetto Ass ppl in this city but I never expected to be assaulted with a pen for a soda. Once I mentioned Mike Jones my very good friend she said he is no longer here and it doesnt matter if he was. I will never eat here again due to the assault on my hand with Connies expression with a pen.

Good food, BIG selections. Almost every year I go to a transportation convention in Stockton and look forward to having dinner during our long dinner break on Saturday evening. Try to get their early as the place is loaded with families on the weekends. The number of choices for every part of your meal is unbelievable. I made three trips for salads and entrees, plus two trips for desert. (Yeah, but I only cheated on my diet for one night.) Most of the food was simple but good stuff. The meat loaf didnt have much flavor, but the rest did. Lots of veggies. You get your moneys worth. I found the staff friendly and working hard to keep restocking the food tables. When I left my seat to get more, the staff picked up the empty plate pretty promptly. The place was pretty full. If you want value this is your place, if you want "a dining experience" take your hot date and a couple of hundred dollar bills elsewhere.

My family and I used to love going there and eat at least 2 times a week and go there to celebrate our childrens and grand childrens birthdays. Home Town used to be our first choice I am sorry to say we have cut down on going due to the fact the food quality has declined never enough and always waiting since they changed over to the hot tiles and smaller amounts available never seem to be enough silver ware or plates. When Mike managed the place you could tell he took pride in the service and quality of food he presented to his customers. I dont even see the manager on the floor anymore. We had even bought the booklets for our older kids and their familys it was a waste of 65 dollars due to the fact when we went there again was a long wait for food for cleaning the tables the was a lack of pride and food and milk and was an overall disappointment. so sad for us we used to enjoy going there.

Had to dig through many plates to find a clean one as well as the silver ware I even pull out a fork with hard food all over it and set it aside for someone to take it to be cleaned only for there servers to pick it up and place it back into the can of which I pulled it from. This place is very dirty and food was next to barely eatable. Id rather try my luck with a taco truck over this restaurant if you can call it that. The ice cream machine was filthy as for the toppings everywhere I didnt even bother to try it. And what do you know the cups for drinks where just as bad as the plates. Wont be going back to this place again.

Spent 33$ to be horribly sick.This place is dirty and a waste of time and money I ate here a day ago and woke up to food poisoning my wife also suffered food poisoning me and her have never in our lives been sick from eating anything also I found out they have a ten second rule if they drop food they dont throw it away like a clean sanitized facility should. My mom told me today never eat there again she got H. Pylori from eating there which is a gastrointestinal infection from bacteria all of this is 100 percent true I wish someone would shut them down Im never stepping foot on that place again.

I have mixed emotion about this place, sometimes its perfect- other times not quite :-( last visit i wanted some ice cream, when i got to the soft serve machine.... I was pretty grossed out of how dirty they keep it. Cones all broken up and all over the place, it looks like they try to clean it with a dirty towel and only smear the ice cream. Hey home town, consider using a different ice cream cone dispenser since all cones break when you try to pull one out... Causing a vicious cycle of broken cones

This place used to be awesome, Now, the Food is Awful, no flavor anymore some things they dont have anymore, like Fudge. the Condiments bar is gone so you cant just get what you need to dress up your own food, I heard they have new management now, Hes Not Doing a good job. Theres Good waitresses that are Never there. But the Food is the worst part and how they are with Customers. I used to go all the time, now, I have no Desire to go back.

Came in around 7pm for dinner.... Some of the food was okay, while others were horrible. Presentation, options, and quality(although I never expect hometown food to be "good quality").. Today was just the worst. On another note, the womens bathroom was absolutely disgusting, it will definitely turn your appetite. I would rate zero stars just based on the cleanliness of the bathroom alone.

Even though I had a very nice time with my family , & the food I ate was what I really needed, I felt quite astonished, angry, and heart broken that we were asked to leave!! Since when has there been a time limit!? A person would think as long as your place of business is getting the "business ", youd be glad.

I thought this place would serve Asian foods like other buffets in the area, but it was mostly American foods. Some of the food was bland tasting, like the macaroni and the pizza, and there didnt seem to be much variety for each type of food. Pricey, too, as for me and a guest came out to $35.

Today me & my friend with our family went to Hometown Buffet, Stockton. I had a coupon for free adult dinner. The cashier conveniently forgot to use that. I didnt mind that thinking the food would compensate. I was wrong. I dont think anyone would go back there second time.

The food was ok all the servers were very nice however found hair in my food twice and the potatoes it was nasty as hell I lost my appetite other than the hair in the food it was okay but whoever is making the potatoes they need to fire cuz I found hair in my food twice
