I went to Garlic Brothers with my wife for 4th of July and was pleasantly greeted at the door and quickly taken to a table. This was the end of the good. Once at our table our server came over and was crap. "Do you want anything to drink" No greeting no, thanks for choosing here over someplace else. So order my beer she orders an iced tea. 10 minutes later they arrive and the server impatiently wants to know if were ready to order. She wants to order a beer at this point so we put in an order for chips and salsa which was chips and this bitter salsa with no heat at the same time. 15 minutes later we get our chips and her beer. My beer needs refilling and I dont remember if she offered or if it was one of the 3 that I had to flag her down to get. Ordered a fire grilled pepperoni pizza and you could do better with digiorno. No offers to get more drinks. We ordered pizza and beer and I even asked for a pitcher (which they dont offer) so you know were going to be there for a few. Serve us some drinks!! Half way through our pizza, tritip quesadilla and chips she brings us our check. Hello?!?! What about dessert or maybe another freaking beer? To the places credit had we gotten a different server the others looked pleasant and were very friendly with their tables. And I will admit that the girls are hot here in tiny shorts and tight fitting tops. But youre better off going somewhere else.

Short answer: Good food and atmosphere. Terrible service and dirty establishment. Long answer: The oysters are amazing, as well as the clams. The food here is good and always has been since my family has been coming here two decades ago. Last night, we were craving oysters and knew that GB was the place to get them. After we ordered our food, the waitress came back out 15 minutes later to tell us that they ran out of half of the items we ordered. Uh okay, sh** happens and it would be nice if she had come out immediately. Alas, we ordered 2 different items. Of course the waitress comes out 5 minutes later to tell us that once again they do not have that item. It was ridiculous. To put the cherry on top, she took what felt like 20 minutes to bring back our check with our credit cards. My knife was crusted in old salad or spinach. The small plate I used for my clams had crusted food on it still. So gross! To conclude this review, I will not return to this establishment. Management obviously sucks since it allows this terrible service and disgusting, lazy practices here.

I personally did not care much for this restaurant. I arrived to Garlic Brothers after work with some friends on a Wednesday evening. The place had some patrons, but was not exactly busy. The wait staff was friendly, albeit slow. There were several instances in which people in my party had to flag down someone to get a refill or place an order. Our entrees came out separately approximately 30-45 mins after we ordered. The biggest downfall was the food itself. I ordered the seared ahi with polenta and green beans. The ahi was overcooked which made it extremely tough and chewy. The polenta could have been decent if it was not for the overpowering taste of garlic powder that coated my tongue giving a "chalky" texture. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Im so glad I thought ahead 2 months ago and got a reservation. It worked perfectly to have a 5:30 reservation after going to a matinee at The Pantages. It was also nice that we were the early reservation since I could imagine that it would feel very crowded and loud in the small restaurant during a very busy time. This meal was nothing short of amazing. The service was among the best I have experienced with knowledgeable servers anticipating your every need. The sommelier suggested a perfect wine for us as well. At one point, loud music started, but someone must have said something because it was quickly turned off for which we were incredibly grateful.

Never had a bad experience or meal here. This is hands down among my favorite restaurants east of Oakland and Berkeley. You will not find many establishments with a better view in the valley. The food is great. The people are friendly. I recommend the Garlic Ribeye Steak with the Mushroom sauce. Perfectly sized for the best flavor. The seafood pastas and the ribs are also very good. Not to mention the pizzas and the grilled oysters... yum. Theres room for improvement but not much. This place only disappoints when its not open.

I wanted to wait and give this place a second chance after I didnt enjoy it the first time. The food is not good. The hamburger patties are very thin. The fries were on the stale side and my hacked chicken salad was blah. Our server was nice, but not very attentive and Im a little sad I wasted my money on the food. On a positive note the live music is cool and the location is beautiful, hence the second star. However, I wont be back for the food. Drinks maybe, but not the food.

Second time here, I had the special pork belly served with rice and an egg on top. The portion was a little smaller than I expected but it tasted soooooo good! I also ordered the $3 spaghetti since it was also a special and it was bomb dot com backslash delicious! Totally recommend this place for the great food and the view of the delta. Excellent service BTW

Creative menu with superb raw bar and inventive and tasty hot dishes. Scallops were excellent! Ordered scallops based on servers recommendation and they were a highlight of the meal. Mussels and octopus were savory and definitely a fun twist on the norm. Refreshing Ceviche with persimmons really worked! Want to go back and try the rice dish!

One of the best atmosphere places I have found in Stockton. Right on water and around boats, this place gives off a sea time vibe. The food was pretty good but pricy. The only bad part was we had a party of 9 and they wouldnt split the bill with us so it took us a while to figure all the prices out. Otherwise the staff was nice.

I have been going to Dave Wongs for about 20 years. The staff and the service is always excellent. I usually go for take out. I hardly ever eat in. Their food is Anericanized Chinese food. It appeals to non Chinese. It is a little high in fat for my liking and the taste variations are fairly minimal. Mongolian Beef...

Great view, atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Decent happy hour specials...however the service was terrible and unprofessional. We had to request for clean dishes , placed three different orders in when the waitress would finally appeared, only to find out they ran out of the items!!! Manager seemed indifferent!!
