I dropped into this place with my family on Sunday afternoon. Half the tables were empty, so we were seated right away. It appeared to be a nice, casual place for a beer and burger. And the waitress was very pleasant. The tap beer selection is definately lacking. We ended up just ordering bottles. I wish I could comment on the food, but 35 minutes after ordering we had still not been served. We asked the waitress if there was a problem and she said the food would be out in five minutes. 10 minutes later we just paid for the beers and left. There was no apology, just irritation that we werent willing to wait even longer for our food. Nice way to put a downer on what should have been a pleasant Sunday lunch. Thanks Tidewater, I wont be back.

Seemed like a cool place until this guy shoved an acquaintance twice. Instead of kicking both people out they kicked the guy who was shoved out. When I went to talk to the Manger he said just go have fun instead of hearing my complaint. 5 minutes later he went to talk with the guy who shoved another patron and was laughing.

Fun place for meeting up with friends. Awesome staff, great food, and pool tables, and TVS everywhere. Super cool atmosphere in a really good location. Lots of fresh ocean air flowing through the place too because they have huge windows, and a garage style door that opens to an outdoor seating area.

Great tavern! Large roll up glass door makes it feel nice and open. Lots of tables for sitting with friends and a couple pool tables for fun. Large wrap around bar. Bartenders were great. Food was yummy and drinks on point. Cheers!

What an honor--to visit a place named after oneself! Hehe, the Lush Lounge is a cool spot for a drink and conversation. I tried the raspberry champagne drink and fell in love, at least for the night! Ill be back soon!

I stopped by to grab a beer while I was waiting for the train. I was floored by the owners involvement. Kudos to him. It is obvious he and all the staff are working hard to grow the business. 5 stars for the effort.

Food is decent, atmosphere is alright. Service is fairly slow; especially for this kind of restaurant, Id expect it to be quicker. However, theres almost never a wait for a table, so that shaves off some time.

Tidewater Tavern has an incredible VIBE! & The Owner is such a down to earth guy and is super friendly! The staff is also super attentive.. I cant wait to go back! Check them out!!! Theyre #worth it ;)

Fantastic Fish Tacos!! Best in San Diego. Always fresh fish. Gary, the bartender, is the most profestional of anyone in his class! He never lets anyone go thristy. Great neighborhood atmosphere.
