My first job was at Baja Fresh in Thousand Oaks almost 20 years ago. I still love the quality and taste of the food. I have been to this location a few times. Usually its not busy. Its busy on Friday evenings apparently. I dont think there crew is used to it being busy. They all seem very flustered and unorganized. There are more people waiting for food then eating food. It might just be this particular combination of employees that is the problem. Food will still probably taste good when it finally is ready. Its been 25 minutes and I can tell they havent started cooking it because its enchilado style and the overhead oven is empty. I even ordered steak instead of shrimp in hopes to speed things along. Oh well. Not even half their tables are occupied. I wonder what would happen if they got a real rush.

Every time I go there , always to seem to have a problem. They "forget" to put extra sour cream. Or forget this or that or wrong soup. Just had nachos from there picked up and they forget extra sour cream I told them extra sour cream and they cheated me for it an I paid and they dont give me it. The nachos tasted disgusting never have it again.

I keep trying to new items, but nothing beats the baja burrito. It used to be much nicer when it first opened. The burritos were nice and warm, and the meat was fresh off the grill. Now they serve it out of a container in boiling water. They sacrificed quality for speed.
