I have been going to this pizza establishment for years and absolutely loved their pizza...until recently, when we ordered a slice or two and while they were reheating them, they "forgot" and burned the slices and so we took them and tried to eat them. Very bad! I took the remains back to the counter and told the young man that he must be new and needs to time the slices better. I NEVER asked for anything, just suggesting they be more attentive to their product. The young man just said they were very busy, turned his back on me, lifted his shirt to wipe his face, exposing his back side and showing his butt-crack. Disgusting! We thought we would give it another try this last weekend. We ordered our slices and found a dirty table vacant. We asked an employee to please clean the table so we could sit there. He proceeded to clean the table, dropped the cloth on the floor, picked it up and continued wiping the table with the same cloth. I called him on it, and he said he turned it over. We walked out, again disgusted. I told my husband if that is what they do in front of the public, Im afraid of what they do that we cant see. I doubt we shall ever go back, even though the pizza was exceptional. Two strikes in a row is not great! I dont think we shall give them a chance for the third strike!

This small shop turns out some of the best pizza Ive ever eaten and does it consistently. The atmosphere is laid back and the workers regularly interact with the locals who frequent the shop. You can order by the slice or by the pie, but either way your pizza will be prepared in an authentic stone oven, giving each slice the perfect amount of crispiness. The thin slices are topped with delicious sauce and the highest quality cheese and toppings. They have a number of set pie combinations, but if none of those tickle your fancy you can create a custom pie with all the toppings you want. Drinks are standard soda fare, and unfortunately they dont serve beer, but that doesnt take away from the experience. I highly recommend this place.

As a born and bred New Yorker living in SoCal, its been difficult for me to find a good slice of pizza that reminds me of home. A Slice of New York in Seal Beach has nailed it. The size is just right, great balance of sauce vs cheese, and the crust is the perfect thickness. My only issue which is easily alleviated is they tend to pull it out of the oven prematurely, which causes the slice to be limp. However, all you have to do is ask for it well-done or crispy so the dough isnt soft and boom, you got yourself the perfect slice of pizza that as the name implies tastes just like New York. I also very much appreciate the decor, although they need more Knicks stuff in my honest opinion! Great slice! Cant go wrong!

I am a Pizza purist being originally from New York. I have searched high and low and eaten a ton of very bad pizzas before lucking into this great New York Style Pizza parlour. You have to try the plain cheese pizza with an extra crisp thin crust. The cheese makes it. All oily and stretchy, just like in Brooklyn! If you want an authentic New York Slice, this place is it. After your slice take a nice stroll on Seal Beach Pier. A real treat for the whole family. If you accidently stumble into a pizza place with a "Z" on the window, you went too far....Turn around and make a left 2 doors down.

Absolutely phenomenal. I dont throw around praise, especially when it comes to New York style pizza, but this place is the ISH! The crust is crispy yet chewy, theres not too much cheese or grease and the sauce has just the right amount of sweetness. I have trapsed all over Orange County looking for legit New York pizza, following any and all recommendations. Ive hit at least 20 different spots now and have been sorely disappointed everywhere except here. If this place ever closes Im packing up and moving back to Brooklyn.

This restaurant serves an average pizza. The crust is thin which is the only positive comment that I can make about the food. The pizza is greasy and the sauce not remarkable. A pizza at the beach is better than anywhere else so I get the high ratings. No bathroom and only place to wash my hands before eating was the sink in the kitchen. The staff was very friend so the atmosphere was good.

Born and raised on the streets of Brooklyn. This is the only place that comes close to authentic NYC pizza. Z Pizza moved in next door and I thought they were threatening this little store but no they beat the giant! This is the perfect spot to bring a casual date to after a day at the beach or shops, pick up a quick slice and go!

AMAZING PIZZA!!! This pizza has to be the best pizza I've ever had! The ratio of toping to sauce to crust is just magical! I haven't had a pizza I don't like there! The toppings totally make it the freshest pizza I've ever experienced! All in all its the pizza that knocks all others off the plate! SO DELICIOUS! :D

This was a good experience. Seal Beach was very busy with the car show, but Slice of New York Pizza kept up with the demand. The pizza was good, hot, and inexpensive. The staff was friendly and helpful. Its a small place, and you might walk by it in search of something more fancy, but you should definitely try it out.

Food is delicious! Its seriously the best pizza in Seal Beach. Just as the name says, these guys brought New York to us with their authentic pizza. Dining in is a little tough though; theres only 3 booths and 2 tables. I dont care though, Id eat this pizza standing up if I had to! Eat here, you wont regret it!

This place have really good pizza, but today I went when it was very busy so I got 1 slice that was luke warm, which still tasted great and my other 2 slices like 15 mins later. I will still continue to go here and I also recommend every pizza lover to try it.

I called and asked if they deliver. They said that they did. I gave them the address and then the employee said it was too far. Apparently ROSSMOOR which is 2.9 miles away is too far. Ive ran further than that. WTF?

Best Pizza in the Seal/Long Beach area hands down. Thats if youre from the east coast and you crave the thin slice style of pizza. I drive here when I need to be reminded of home. Dudes...get a bathroom!!

Good pizza. Better than most. 2 slices and a drink for around 6 bucks. Almost no seating. But friendly people and good service. Get a slice and eat while you walk to the beach a couple of blocks away.

I liked the pizza. I cant tell you if it is comparable to NY pizza because I have never been to NY. It had a thin crust. And we bought an entire pie - not by the slice. So - by the slice - ymmv.

Pizza was great, enjoyed the how the crust was made and how crispy the pizza was. Would have given it 5 stars had the slice been a true NY slice size. Would eat here again and recommend stopping
