Pina Pizza, you know at one time this place was named pinas pizza, but if you said it a funny way, it would sound like something else. Anyways, this is another classic restaurant, it has a sixties decor to it, its kind of small for a pizza place, normally youd have a few families packed in their like at Downey Pizza Company, but I think there pizza makes up for it. I dont go there to reminisce, I go there to get decent pizza and decent garlic bread and about 75% of the time, its really damn good causing my to come back, but the only thing that kind of can be improved is the wait times, for years it took at least 30 minutes to get a pizza. Still one of the best pizza places in Downey.

The restaurant manager (Rino) started arguing with me after I pointed out a couple problems with the service me and my family received. He told me to wait at my table for my waitress after I came to the front to request sugar because our waitress was suddenly MIA. I called him on it, and he wouldnt back down or admit fault, and said "I have done nothing wrong" several times. He ended up calling me a smartass, and told me he didnt care if I chose to take my business elsewhere. I am disgusted with the way me and my mother were treated. She has been going to that restaurant for 30 years, and I since I was very young. Very disappointing.

I have grown up with their food. Pinas is a favorite in my family, especially their garlic bread! Its a long-run, well trusted local family business, and a great place to take out-of-towner friends for lunch. Their personal sized pizzas, and garlic bread are the way to go! Be warned though, its more of a place youd want to go to with the intention of hanging out for a while rather than get in, eat, and go- unless of course you are calling in and picking up.

The Best Pizza ever!!! I will admit I am a little partial to this place. It has been apart of our family for a very long time. My dad used to work there when he was in his early twenties. It was my first job at the age of 15 and my sister Krissys as well. Pina and John Persico were like my second mom and dad. I remember having such a blast working with Johnnie, Caro, Ronaldo,Mila and Darlene. Long Live Pinas Pizza!!!

When Im on deaths door with the flu, the Pina Pizza House me back to life. I look death in the eye and tell him: "TRY SOME HOT SOUP, REAPER MAN!," and then I throw hot broth in deaths face. While death staggers backward, I sneak behind him and strangle him with a small intestine. Good soup!

We are not from the area. Found this from a restaurant search. Glad we did! Food was delicious. Loved the appetizer with the cheese stuffed jalapenos, zucchini and mozzarella sticks. Our pizza was so good, that even though we were full, we had to have one more slice! Well definitely come back.

Good Food for many years~ Horrible Manager.... Customer DOES NOT come first..... Will order to go, will not EAT IN..... Until someones changes management Im afraid Pina Pizza will slowly start losing its long life customers~ I have been eating there for 30 years..... HOW THINGS CHANGE!

Can I get a refill ? No ! We carried our half finished lunch all the way home because the three tables the one waitress had to take care of was to much for her. She ignored us even after we raised our hands and were calling for her two different times. We will never eat here again.

Food took forever to be delivered and when it was, pasta was cold. Waitress didnt return to check on the food. We will never return and dont recommend to anyone. If u do come, maybe try the pizza, might take forever to get but it will be hot.

Over the years, people have tried and tried to convince me that this place has good pizza. Never once have I agreed and after getting dragged there for a party the other day, Id say their in house service sucks on par with the pizza.

Worst restaurant I ever been in my life, the service was bad and the spaguetti sauce bland, the mushrooms on the chicken seems like it was canned, the service was rude and the decor tasteless, so sad I spend my money in that place!!

Best pizza in town, the eggplant is OG, try the zucchini appetizers and great beer/wine selection. Best Pizza or pasta spot in Downey. Ask for Gia, she will make sure you leave full and happy!!!

Awesome pizza! They really load the toppings on. The carnivore is so meaty each slice weighs about 12 to 16 ounces. The best!!!
