Went there with my son who just moved Santa Cruz, to try out a local place. Service was very good and friendly. We both had the two pancakes, two eggs, two bacon for 8.50 plus juice. I ordered orange juice and my son ordered apple juice. The apple juice was a 10. The special was apple and walnut pancakes. I ask if I could up grade my standard order of pancakes to the apple and walnut. Yes for 50 cents. We both left taking about the pancakes and our over all breakfast. Bacon and eggs where cook perfectly. I will be returning in September with my wife, daughter and other son for a visit and the Colts vs 49 ers game and plan to take them all here for breakfast. Nice job Silver Spur.

The Silver Spur is a staple of the area. The food is prepared at least a notch and half above what you expect at a "breakfast, lunch" spot. The staff is great and always very attentive. I love going there and I have for years now... I have a funny feeling the last reviewer actually walks around with dog doo on their shoes all the time...or maybe that is the mindset!!LOL Parking can be a little tough but that is because it is a popular and busy spot!! Kind of logical..well worth the effort to get there!!

Even though its almost always busy, its worth the short wait - and there is always fresh coffee available to you while you wait for your table! My family has been eating here for years. The food is always delicious, the portions are generous (and the prices reasonable) and its rare to see the staff not smiling and friendly. I come from a family of foodies, and we really love a good breakfast - eating breakfast at the Silver Spur is like eating at home, only I dont have to wash the dishes!

Food is always good and plentiful. Service was okay. If you are ordering from the menu and there is a similar item on the specials menu be sure to state you are not ordering the special. My friend ordered the pancakes with 2 eggs and a meat for $10. She got the pancake special which included fresh fruit for $13.50. I am sure if she would have complained they would have refunded the difference to her.

I Love to have breakfast and lunch here. The best home cooked, comfort food around the area. They have a lot of us locals here no matter if theres a wait but service is fast and everyone is so very friendly!! The menu has a number of great food combinations for everyones taste buds, super fresh tasty choices. Also very family-friendly, I Love to eat here, Enjoy!!

Our family favorite for breakfast for decades. Great food quality, service. There is sometimes a line, but coffee is served to those waiting. Dont want to wait? A "community table" usually has none - meet someone new there. You can just eat or engage in a conversation with fellow diners there.

July 2015 - Returned to have breakfast here because it was so delicious last time! Was NOT disappointed with the Special French Toast. Lots of fruit and large pieces of bread. June 2015 - Delicious breakfast! The blueberry pancakes were delicious. The kids meals looked like adult portions.

I dont know where they get their produce but its amazing! Everything here is really great. The service is probably the best anywhere in Santa Cruz. The ladys who serve there have genuine warm smiles and truly care about their customers. A visit here and you will leave full and happy.

Lunch was a great experience. my friend and I sat at the community table joining three other patrons. I had Babes Favorite and she had Salmon salad on a tortilla. They were both great. Service was quick and efficient.
