We ordered a spicy Sichuan tofu and after we waited for ONE AND A HALF HOUR the food finally came. With all the excitement and hunger, only did we find PLAIN WHITE TOFU in the box, not a single shade of red spice to be found. Seriously we could not believe that we paid 7 dollars for a box of tasteless tofu. So we called the restaurant and the lady said she made food for white people so we shouldnt expect much. So I started bargaining with her in Mandarin to present myself as a Chinese customer. I demanded that we either have our money back or have a replacement. The lady refused. She insisted that the restaurant has been opened for 20 years and I insisted I had never tasted Chinese food like this in 20 years (as a Chinese). Finally, she told me to do whatever I want and she couldnt care less. She could have just apologize but she talked to me as if I was wrong for expecting too much. What kind of customer service is this. Guys, I am sorry, but not all Chinese are like this.

I am not just being pissy and hating on this restaurant, this was the worth meal I have ever had the misfortune to pay for. There was no meat in the wonton soup, the rice was dry and stale, and they dont even use Kikoman soy-sauce. Other brands can have 3-MCPD and 1,3-DCP which should not be present at any level at all in foods, watch out for cheap Chinese soy-sauce brands. The only thing that was marginally okay was the chow-mein but how can fried noodles go wrong? At least they used oil. Also the mandarin orange chicken was mostly tough cartilage and not much delicious meat. Definitely not worth the 25-30 dollars, I would not recommend this place to anyone and would advise against them.

Yes it can take a little long for delivery. I was about 15 mins away and got it in an hour though it was on a Friday night. Other than that I thought the food was delicious. Broccoli beef, chicken fried rice and potstickers; all Id recommend! Also got free wonton chips with my order. I will definitely be ordering with them again :)

Theres no storage of mediocre to bad Chinese restaurants in Santa Cruz, but Peking is the worst. When I eat next door at Cafe Cruz,, I look in and never see anyone eating there. I think its a front.
